||| Deacon prided himself on the creativity. While it wasn’t the gold medal of pick up lines, he still enjoyed it. Besides, if it got the person to smile, then he considered it a success.
“Then be careful not to fall. Or else I may have to come run and catch you.” Deacon smirked.
Thera studied him a second or two, adding up whether he was actually serious, just testing the waters, or completely pulling her leg - none of which were actually a problem, although the first option was going to see him disappointed. Even if she’d had time, strangers met on the road weren’t exactly her thing.
After a second she made a little ‘hmm’ sound ang waggled her hand, palm down. “I gotta say, the first part was better, but nice improv. Are you from around here, or passing through?”

“Really?” Thera blinked a second, not so much startled by the approach as the ... well ... eloquence. Corny maybe, rehearsed, but it was a good shade or two above the usual 'hello darling wanna ride?’ or 'how 'bout a smile?’
