A Halloween piece!

Honestly, I'm shocked at how quickly I banged this piece out. Further, I'm really damn happy with the background and how it turned out. I think it has just enough texture to it and isn't too noisy. The halftones are my favorite part--though I am biased, as I love halftones in any piece of art. The design and name ain't all that original, but I'm damn happy with how this turned out.

Fake band idea. I’ve always liked this name for some kind of band. Not because I wanna start a band but just making up some sort of band I could put in the background of my comics as a cool little reference. I wanted all the members to have their own vibe: punk, metal, Celtic punk, gothic, indie rock. All that stuff that I enjoy listening to and more. The group’s whole shtick is being a collection of outcast and weirdos. I imagine their tagline being something like, “disowned by parents, shunned by society, raised by music, we are ruined kids!” I might expand on their characters depends how much I wanna procrastinate from my college work.

Me fucking around with voice claims for characters. Technically Zero shouldn’t be speaking point blank (story and lore reasons), but if he did talk he’d probably sound like Juan Carlos Bodoque. Though again just a side note Zero speaks Spanish not Chilean. But I’m just over explaining a stupid funny video.

I’ve got my first college midterm today. Not very happy and/or excited for that so I’m just doodling to keep myself from stressing. Couple extra details, little refining, just having mindless fun.

I don’t know why I keep falling back to Tallon when bored. I think he just has a cool design that pleases my simple monkey brain. But here are some sketches of him: one is me figuring out a possible bigger piece of art, and the other is what he’s wearing under his coat. Simple stuff.

Random sketch of my superheroOC, Atom, as a much younger person. Plus some writing from his point of view. It’s me basically being inspired by the incredibles interviews that are trending recently.

“When I was a kid I really wanted to be a superhero. The cape, the mask, the powers. It seemed so cool in the comics, the movies, and tv shows. 35 years later: it’s hell. I don’t wanna do this job anymore, I don’t wanna wear a costume, I really wanna just leave. I want to. But I’m not because it would keep me up at night. The idea that people are in danger and I’m just not doing anything. I don’t want that. So I’ll just keep going and do my best.”

“Could you comment on this photo?”

“Photo- Oh yes, um- Think I was around 16 in that photo, my adoptive family took me to Mexico and I got a Luchador mask. It was pretty cool looking. I do wonder where that thing went. Jesus. I feel so old looking at this thing. Do we need any more comments for the interview?”

“No I think we have everything.”

“Good, I’m gonna go back to my job.”

I got high for the first time with my wife, fucking insane experience. I drew a couple things during and after. This is a drawing or Tallon that I just thought was funny. I’ll post more soon

The rest of my doodles while high with my wife. Most aren’t anything special, but I really love the two portraits of my love. Especially the double face one since she moved while I was drawing her to laugh and I captured it pretty well.

This comic strip features my character Gas-Mask, a rogue soldier who finds himself faced with many mutated animals he has to fight.

I finished off this comic strip finally, I am very proud of myself for doing this. I really focused on the idea that “done is better then perfect,” so while I’m sure there are mistakes or things I’ll wanna change later I’m calling this finished as is. I’m happy with how it stands now and hope you all do as well. I hope you all enjoy this strip as much as I did making it. Have a great day all of you.

New OC idea

I don’t know what her name is, what she does, she just popped into my head. I’m think she’s some kind of demon monster thing that maybe eats people she meets at clubs. That could be fun.

Death takes many forms. Some more human, some worthy of fear.

Still working out kinks but here is Tallon’s demon form in full. Or as full as I can, kinda struggling with drawing right now. Very annoying feeling, but I’ll push through.

I wanna do a big digital painting to really show off everything I have envisioned for this form of Tallon. I’m drawing a blank on what else to say for this piece so I’ll just shut up for now. Feel free to ask questions though. I’ve got nothing but time to answer.

A boy and his pet hellhound

I had a long ass day and this was all I’ve been able to draw as of recent. Again this is Tallon and Bubba, two of my OCs whom I adore. Two fun facts:

- Bubba is not really a hellhound. In this universe hellhounds have flaming skull heads and are a bit smaller then Bubba. I always imagined bubba was in fact a Chupacabra that Tallon just calls a hellhound. Chupacabras in one theory were dogs that had contracted mange. I’ve always played into that idea. So Bubba is a Doberman pinscher looking chupacabra, who after years of being taken care of by Tallon who will give Bubba a treat for nothing just grow to be chunky enough to look like a regular dog.

- second, Tallon doesn’t sleep. He just lies down until the sunrises and pretends to sleep. It was always a little thing I’ve add to his character that Tallon has some form of insomnia. He’s had it since he was about 4 and it’s been hell to his parents cause if you left him alone too long something would end up broken. As he matured he learn to just calm down for a couple hours. Now usually insomnia does in fact have negative effects on humans, but Tallon’s demon heritage heals his brain enough that he functions normally. Or normally enough for Tallon. He’s a bit of a mess no matter what. There was this comedy movie about a family going on a vacation in a trailer—can’t remember the name—and there’s a side character. This little kid of a redneck family who just has the same insomnia problem and in one scene he explains it and just goes and smashes a window afterwards. I really wish I could find that movie cause it was just so memorable in a funny way. So I took inspiration from that chaotic ness and added it here.

As for the piece itself there’s somethings I would wanna fix and tired with whiteout to fix, but I gave up and just posted. Sure the perspective and a lot of other things are off but hell with it I had fun drawing it. Hope y’all like it and sorry for the many paragraphs.
