“I guess so! But it’s okay cause i love the sport.”

“Well, yeah. I love it, too but there are other things and people in my life that I wish I could spend a little more time on.” She shrugs. “It’s worth it to get first at nationals again, though. I’ll do anything.”

“It is! I feel like it just keeps going, and going and going.’ he laughed before groaning. “Don’t remind me.”

“I guess we just have to sign our lives over to dance for a while longer.” Avery laughs softly.

“That’s great!” She sai smiling more.

“It’s crazy how long this competition season has felt. Feel like there’s still such a long time until nationals.”

“Thanks! So how are your solo’s going?”

“Super well. I’m so excited.” She smiles.

“Good!” he laughed and shook his head. “Love, you’re being a bit over dramatic.”

“Me? Overdramatic? Never. That’s your other daughter, silly.” She smiles.

“I know! I’m so so excited.”

“I can’t wait to see it.” She smiles.

Calvin laughed and then did as she asked before looking at his daughter. “Better ?”

“Mhm. Much!” She lets out a sigh of relief. “That thing almost ate me!”

“A musical theater! It’s gonna be to HArd Knock Life.”

“That’s awesome! It’s going to be amazing.”

“I finally got another solo!”

“That’s great, Mads. What kind?”

“What the hell is that?” He chuckled.

“I think it’s a bug!” She squeals, jumping away. “Kill it!”

alex rolls his eyes and laughs a bit. “Mmm alright babe.”

“Dont roll your eyes at me, you goober.” She winks and pokes his side playfully.

“I know i am to you. But you are also pretty damn amazing.”

“Well, I’m only amazing for you. You’re the only one who deserves me at my best.”

Alex shrugged his shoulders and smiled, “Whatever you say.’ He said kissing her head. “Oh I know you do.”

“We’re just gonna be super happy that I still get to compete. Cause I’d be sad if it was over.” She chuckles. “You’re the bestest in the world.”

“you’ve been doing so good what are you talking about babe.” he laughed before nodding. “same. even if it’s just cuddling on the couch.”

"Thanks, babe. That’s why I’m still in season. If I had done terribly, the season would have been over for me.” She nods. “I love cuddling on the couch.”

“Your competition season or just for today.” He tilted his head before pecking her lips. “Well then we are going to have lots of date nights!”

“Just today! If competition season was over now, it would mean I did terribly. Thankfully, I’m still in it.” She nods. “For sure. I love date night.”

Alex shook his head, “I wasn’t sure if you were busy or not that’s all.”

“Oh, well I’m not. Dance is over and I’m done with school for the rest of the week.”

Alex looks down at her and pecks her  lips before nodding her head and smiling. “Thats what I was hoping to hear.” He said hugging her close again.

“Well, if you think I’m ever going to turn down a movie night with my favorite, you’re crazy.” She winks with a giggle.
