“Grasshopper” liaison/observation light plane armed with 6 bazooka rocket launchers, which turned it into an effective, if very vulnerable, anti-tank aircraft. Discontinued from use shortly after as the germans began to shoot with everything they had at any L-2 they saw flying by, where before this experiment they pretty much left these aircraft alone.
After WWII, ready to be melted and recycled. P-40’s?

A USAAF 3rd Air Commando Group UC-64A in the Philippines, 1945 The UC-64A was the USAAF designation for the Canadian-built Noorduyn Norseman single-engine bush plane that made its first flight in 1935. Designed to have interchangeable wheel, ski or twin-float landing gear, the Norseman was a rugged bush plane that could take off and land in even the most adverse conditions. Powered by a single Pratt & Whitney R-1340 radial engine that generated 600 horsepower, the UC-64A could carry 8 passengers at a cruise speed of 150 mph (241 km/h). After the outbreak of WWII, the RCAF used the Norseman primarily for training radio operators, but the USAAF used the aircraft as an ambulance, liaison aircraft, spotter, and glider tug in Europe, Burma, and the Pacific. UC-64As were used by the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Air Commando Groups, and were used in operations in Burma and the Philippines. Production of the Norseman ended in 1959, by which time 964 examples had been built, 762 of which had been purchased by the US military during the war.
