OKAY OKAY. I’m super late to the party but honestly it was so amazing just to be @avnlea SS just being able to write nice things and learn about a show that’s amazing that I’d never heard of is so good. ESPECIALLY when the people are so passionate about the show. Avnlea does that ! I don’t watch many live action shows but I am planning on picking up Anne with an E soon because of you!!

          𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐞   𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡𝐬   𝐰𝐚𝐬   𝐟𝐚𝐫     ,    𝐟𝐚𝐫   𝐭𝐨𝐨   𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠   𝐨𝐟   𝐚   𝐰𝐚𝐢𝐭     ——     letters   were   a   nice   substitute     ,     but   hearing   her   voice   in   the   letters   was    nothing    compared   to   hearing   her   in   person     .     they   made   him    long    for   her     ,     long   to   be   in   her   presence     ,     to     kiss    her   again     .     finally     ,     his   wish   was   granted     ——     a   christmas   eve   soirée   held   by   the   berry   family     .     their   first   meeting   back   had   been   cut   short   by   it     ,     but   they    finally   had   the   alone   time   they   both   so   desperately   wanted     . 

“     anne     ——     ”     he   can   hardly   contain   his   smile     ——      surely     ,     distance   made   the   heart   grow   fonder     .     little   did   she   know     ,     he   had   a   surprise   for   her     ——     a   mistletoe   branch   shaped   one     .     “     i’ve   missed   you     .     ”          ;          @avnlea​     .

FOR    THE    PAST    THREE    MONTHS  ,       anne   had   been   tormented   by   the   yearn   to   be   with   her   beau   once   again  ,     with   the   sole   reason   to   prove   to   herself    one   more   time    this   entire   ordeal   was   real     —-     her   imagination   constantly   played   with   her   mind   to   the   point   the   fine   line   between   reality   and   fantasy   no   longer   existed  .      in fact  ,     if   it   weren’t   for   her   one   and   only   bosom   friend   diana   to   be   an    eyewitness    to   this   occurrence  ,     the   redhead   would   still   be   very   keen   to   the   idea   that   it   was   all   fabricated   by   her   mind  .      the   letters   could   have   been   produced   by   an   evil   soul  ,      for   all   she   thought  .       it   felt   surreal   that   she   was   lucky   enough   to   love   and   be   loved   by   gilbert   blythe  .

what   was   also   surreal   was   the   fact   that   they   managed   to   sneak out   to   the   barry’s   porch   without   drawing   too   much   attention   to   them  .      she   had   no   idea   how   many   people   knew   they   were   courting     (  were    they  ?       would   they  ?  )     ,     but  from   a   sympathetic   nod   coming   from   ruby  ,     there   was   no   way   they   could   keep   it   a   secret   for   very   long  .      gladly  ,     the   other   guests   were   either   too   busy   dancing   and   drinking   to   notice   her   proped   between   two   windows  ,      her   wooer   right   in   front  ,     leaning   over  .

“      oh     —-     gil,     ”          anne   beams   at   his   opener  ,     examining   his   features  ,     with   fingers   urging   to   caress   the   soft   curls   cascading   from   his   head  ,     only   to   falter   and   instead   tug   at   his   vest     ;     she   could   be   many   things  ,     but   one   thing   she   has   learned   over   her   time   in   avonlea   was   not   to   be   greedy  ,     especially   when   this   sort   of   deed   could   tarnish   his   reputation      (  she    was    ever    so    used    to    make    a    fool    out    of    herself    to    care    about    her    actions    biting    her    back  )      .      falling   back   to   her   place  ,     there’s   an   acute   awakening   :     she’s   the   happiest   gal   in   the   entire   peninsula  .          “     i’m   too   thrilled   to   compete   on   who   missed   the   other   the   most  .     i   just     —-     i   cannot   believe   you   are   finally   here  !     ”
