Incapable | Andrew + Cain
Cain followed after the other, making sure he had checked the halls to see if any staff had seen them. Closing the door behind him, he snorted at their question. âNo, Iâm not really big on reading, or anything educational. The only time I come here is if thereâs absolutely no where else to go.. or I feel like defacing the books.â he shrugged, expecting the other to be turned off by him now.Â
"That's fair enough." Andrew answered simply. He knew that some people loved books and education, whereas others completely hated it. He wasn't about to judge Cain on something so small like that. That's not what he's like. "Sorry, I hope you don't mind the dark corner. It's just... That's what I do. I don't like being seen by people I don't want to be seen by, y'know?"Â
"Iâm sorry you feel sad. I donât want you to feel sad."Â
"Thanks..." He smiled briefly, looking over the other. "Thank you. You're really nice."Â
Incapable | Andrew + Cain
Cain chuckled as he walked. He couldnât deny the boy was kind of cute. His shyness seemed so pure, unlike the other people at Eichen. It was kind of refreshing, even though he knew he would mostly likely hurt the other in some way. âItâs nice to meet you too, Andrewâ he turned his head with a friendly smile as he opened the door to the library.
Andrew felt more comfortable around Cain by the minute, which made him feel so much more relieved. He followed the other into the library and instinctively headed towards the back. It's where he would always go when he was at school. If he were in the back, in a dark corner, no one would ever disturb him which he was thankful for. "So, uh, do you come here often?" He whispered, not wanting to disturb anyone else who may be in here, or get caught being somewhere they probably shouldn't be right now.Â
Stranger in the Mirror || Hnikarr + Andrew
"Your apology is pointless," he muttered. "So, Andrew - how might one find their quarters around here? I have little patience, and rather hope this is all an unfortunate product of my imagination.â Heâd much prefer to rest until the situation resolved itself than try and work through it.
"I-- I don't know which room yours is. I'm sorry." He replied, backing up a little bit more. "Should I go?" Andrew asked, not wanting to just run off in case the other chased him for some reason.Â
Jamie tilted his head, watching the man for a further moment, before pressing his face to his arm and whining softly. ââŠSay why.â
Andrew sighed slightly, not wanting to share his story with the young boy. "Because I'm alone."Â
Incapable | Andrew + Cerise
The girl felt herself warm up to his kindness, knowing deep down how her reality might have caused him to think differently of her. It happened way too often to easily let the thought go, but she decided to keep the smile on her face and let him have his fair share of kindness. "The pleasureâs all mine, Andrew. Not so many people remain good to me after finding out of my royal situation, and so I feel as if I owe you."Â Cerise admitted sincerely. "Have you been well? I havenât seen you till this very day. Might I ask if youâve just entered the institute?"
"It's not something you can help, so who am I to judge?" He replied simply, with a small shrug. "You don't owe me anything." Andrew reassured the other, before nodding slightly. "Y-Yeah, yeah I'm new here. I've only been here a day or two." He couldn't help but let out a small sigh at that, thinking back to his old life that was still fresh in his mind. Most times he wished he could go back to that - back to being on his own. Everything was so much easier when that was the case.Â
Stranger in the Mirror || Hnikarr + Andrew
"No. Nicknames are a pointless concept; they reduce human understanding." Hnikarr shoved his hands into his pockets, a little irritated by the fact that a shorter name had been requested. "If it suits you better, you may use my second name, Ambrosius - but no other."
"I-I'm sorry..." He murmured, looking down and taking a very small step back. "Hnikarr it is." Andrew was scared of the other, if he were honest, but that didn't take too much. He was scared of most people - but Hnikarr especially right now.Â
Caught off guard at his comment about how he had turned to using his finger nails to self harm made her stop for a moment. For this was the first time here she had met someone that was open but not too open. And in a way, strange way, she was interested in him and just what he was as a person. "Gabby." She spoke softly as she pushed the drawer closed behind her, and leaning against it to get a better look at the new stranger in the room.Â
As the girl stopped and just started to look at him, Andrew became more and more uncomfortable. "D-Do I have something on my face or something?" He asked quietly, looking anywhere but at her. People staring at him was something that he was used to, because he was the weird one, but recently in the months before he came to this place he was used to being around no one so people made him more anxious than usual.Â
Roomies | Andrew & Forrest
Forrest watched the boy shift under the huge mass of covers, then rise a bit. âYou donât seem fine,â he said in a light tone, not wanting to sound like a douche. He looked the boy over, âWhat? No, not at all-in fact, if you need some time, I could definitely go leave you alone right now..â he trailed off, playing with his hair, looking at the boy. He took the cigarette from behind his ear, âUh-um, do you want to go out for a smoke and talk? Get some shit off your chest?â Forrest was just trying to offer the kid what he wanted when he first arrived at Eichen, knowing how hard the transition was. He twisted the cigarette between his fingers, waiting for an answer, and looking at the clock to make sure it wasnât lights out just yet
"N-No.. I don't want to be alone." Andrew murmured in reply, though he didn't really wish to be around people either. He longed to be able to socialise properly with people, but it always came off as he was making a half-assed effort. "I-.. I don't really smoke but I could come with you still." The boy offered, biting his lip as he looked over at the other. "Are you sure though? I mean, I don't want to disturb you or have you go out of your way for me. It's fine if you would prefer to stay here. I don't mind - Whatever is easier and best for you."Â
Incapable | Andrew + Cain
"Well the thank you." Cain grinned at them, though he was used to compliments. He made his way at a quick pace through the halls, not wanting to be caught by staff. "No, you didnât miss it. I usually donât tell people my name. Iâm Cain" he glanced back at the other "and you?"
Andrew kept up to the boys quick pace, understanding that they weren't really supposed to be wondering around right now. They were supposed to be at the dance. "It's lovely to meet you Cain." The boy grinned, his eyes not leaving the other. "My name is Andrew." He murmured, biting softly on his lower lip.
Roomies | Andrew & Forrest
Forrest hummed to himself as he changed out of his clothes from the dance. He felt a twinge of longing for playing his bass when he thought about music and pretended to finger along on an imaginary bass guitar in the air. At first he was so caught up with âplayingâ that he didnât hear his roommate come into his bed. He only then realized he was there when he heard the slightest of sniffles across the room. He turned around to see a lump in the bed that usually was no lump at all. âHe-hey man, you alright?â He put on an ACDC tshirt and sat on his own bed, playing with his long hair, âIâm Forrest, Iâm your roommate,â he emptied the pockets in his coat, realizing he still had on of the cigarettes he bummed from Constance, tucking it behind his ear so he wouldnât forget it.
At the sound of the others voice he froze and attempted to stay as silent as he could, but he heard his voice again and he knew he wouldn't be able to just ignore Forrest away. He wiped his eyes to try and make it look like he hadn't been crying and sat up, his cover wrapped around him. "I'm fine... " He lied. "It's nice to meet you Forrest, I'm Andrew." The boy looked across at the other and bit his lip, before quickly looking away again and focusing his eyes on the seemingly intriguing cover that engulfed him. "I'm sorry if I disturbed you, I can, uh, I can leave if you like? Give you time to yourself if that's what you were after?" Andrew always thought he was in the way of people and what they wanted, even if they hadn't given him a single indication of such a thing. He figured that's what having no parents and no family that wanted you did to a person.Â
Chai stared blankly as the stranger escaped with his jacket, unable to find the courage to chase after him. He jumped at the new voice, his eyes sliding to the second unknown person in his presence. âA memberâ I need it back!â
"I'm sure you'll get it back." Andrew replied, his voice a little wobbly. "If you tell someone, they could get it back for you, right?" The boy was sure that someone would do something about it, because technically it was theft and they couldn't tolerate that... Could they?
Incapable | Andrew + Heather
Heather looked around and her eyes stopped to a big tree. The brunette walked to it before sitting on the ground and rest her back against the tree. âI-I donât really talk to anyone but the people I met are nice. â She said to him.
"Good, I'm glad they're nice to you." He murmured in reply before copying her actions and sitting down next to her. "I don't think we're supposed to be out here, but we can just claim we didn't know, right?"Â
Pointe || Emmy and Andrew
Emmy sat quietly, er knees hugged to her chest as she listened to him sing shakily. Even through his obvious nerves, she could hear the talent in his voice. She didnât turn back around until she was sure he was finished and gave him a bright smile, âThat was beautiful, Andrew.â she complimented gently, climbing to her feet, âI knew you had a talent.â
"Thank you.." He replied, a blush racing to his cheeks. As she stood up he bowed his head to attempt to compose himself not only from the blush but the emotions that the song brought. "I love Birdy. Her songs are always so beautiful. Have you heard of her?"
Daisyâs brows furrowed together, âWho the hell would do that?! Thatâs horrible!â She felt her heart ache for him. Nobody here had ever been that mean to her, âDid you try reporting her to the staff? Because that is beyond wrong!â She listened to the boy, feeling the corners of her mouth go down, feeling for him, âWell, today is the first day of the rest of your life!â She smiled at him, taking his chin to make him look at her, âAnd that means you no longer have to take that shit!â She wanted to be positive for him, because his soul seemed so sad.
"I don't know. She was blonde and seemed angry that I wasn't dressed to her standards. She was very demanding." Andrew explained before shaking his head. "There was a guard there and she went right too him and he didn't even do anything. He just brushed her off. She only stopped because her fruit had just been prepared." He murmured before his eyes widened slightly at the girl taking his chin in her hand. "What shall I do if it happens again then? What do I do if the staff don't care? If no one cares?"Â
It was awkward meeting you. Donât get diseases, kid.
I- I won't.Â
