avtiiroas:
The Demi-God narrowed his eyes. Yet another surprise twist. This red energy that erupted from his opponent shattered the ice from the shockwave alone like brittle glass. Again, his Arcane Sense pinged, registering a massive increase in vitality from his opponent. Whatever this ‘Kaioken’ was, it was multiplying his foe’s output. ‘Fine. I see how it is. Magic alone won’t be enough for you. I’ll have to get my hands dirty.’ He’d originally thought magic alone would be enough. But it seems he’d have to step into his opponent’s territory. Martial Arts.
He slid into his own stance. Left arm over his head with his fist half opened like a claw. His right arm hung slightly low, fist clenched. “You’re good. Definitely not human, whatever you are. You’ve surprised me time and again. Out of respect for your ability, I’ll meet your martial arts with my own. We shall see who is the more skilled. Prepare yourself!”
He shot forward faster than a bullet, charging Goku head on. Just when it seemed he would crash headlong into him, he instead passed right through. A mere after image. From above the Demi-God came down like a comet, spinning end over end to increase momentum before his leg lashed out in a brutal ax kick. Blocked or not, the impact alone would shatter and crater the ground.
Martial arts? There was a mistake.
Goku seemed to grin, lowering his power back to Blue the instant he was clear of the ice. He notices the man dashing forward, but quickly catches the power above him, crossing his arms in an X above his head to catch the blow in a block. The strike still powerful enough to shatter the ground beneath him.
But now the Saiyan was going to respectfully show him how BIG a mistake this was. The Saiyans wrists flick, both hands grabbing his opponents calf and swinging him down into the already shattered crater beneath him. In a prime position for a follow up attack, Goku switches things up, driving a wound up knife-edge strike forward, aiming right for the mans chest. Ki had taken his hand over, giving it that extra BURN in case this strike may be just as useless as the previous ones.
This man had a weakness. He just needed to find out WHAT.
Eyes widening in alarm, his hand snatched the other's energy clad knife hand strike by the wrist at the last second, hand tightening. He grimaced. 'He's figured it out. I've given him too little credit.' He grit his teeth. Anger burned through him. The other was so confident in his martial prowess that he would power down from that red energy, as if he was no threat in close combat? He snarled, teeth bared like an animal.
"Don't take me lightly!" He snapped as his right leg lash out in a snap kick to the other's face. He didn't let up, springing from his position on the ground to full body tackle the man. But he didn't stop there. He used the man as a living battering ram, sprinting at speeds well beyond sound as he drove his opponent recklessly through every obstacle in sight. Cliffs, boulders, across the water, until finally he drove the man deep into a cliff face with a mighty crash. He sprung back, taking a stance for a split second.
"Not yet! Take this! Nine Heavenly Pillars!"
His arms blurred, striking 9 times in 9 specific points over the torso. 81 strikes in a second. The force of his final strike would slam his opponent through the back of the rock formation. This technique on anyone else would halt or slow blood flow to the arms and legs resulting in the limbs feeling heavy or numb. Should he desire it, it can even slow blood flow to the heart. However, his opponent was far from human, and he was now sure it wouldn't do much more than slow him down until he recovered. No, he wasn't naive enough to think this was the end. He set his stance, and prepared himself.
