{So I said a while ago that I’d probably be back to this blog. Now that I’ve moved and got my life back together, I think I will return. I do work five days a week so I may not be able to be on all the time like I used to, but I definitely want to get back into roleplaying. 

I probably will not continue any of my old threads, just because I forgot what was happening in most of them, and it might take me a little bit to figure out who Ward is to me at this point, but I would really love to start up a few threads with any of my old roleplaying partners. I missed you guys a lot. I think I’ll only do a handful at the moment, but if we used to have threads before I left, I would like to continue roleplaying with you guys.}

{ Its been a while...wow. I miss this blog and I miss the friends I made here and the wonderful people I met. I've been tremendously busy lately but I have been keeping up with AOS when I had days off from work and I am still very much in love with the show and honestly with Ward as well. I miss writing him. So I think, if people still remember me and if the ones I really loved aren't all gone...I will come back. It will probably be around June or July, but I'm going to reboot this blog and start roleplaying again. }

The bumps on the road ahead were gonna be painful, and Steve was aware of that. Steve had no idea where to start with this man, how was he supposed to ‘rehabilitate’ someone? Trying to decide where to start, his first step would to study Ward, how he works. According to Phil he was wonderful at manipulation, almost as good as Loki. Steve would have to see it to believe it. 

Grant fiddled with the cuffs in hand, Steve was already aware he could get out of them if he wanted, and he was prepared for that. Grant’s skill set was lethal, he was one of SHIELD’s best. It was only natural that he’d end up being apart of Hydra. Well, a part of a man who worked for them anyway, Steve wasn’t interested in what Grant could tell him, more like trying to help him figure out who he wants to be. 

The look on his face seemed that he had no idea what was going to come, and Steve hated it. Phil had insisted on keeping him in the dark about everything, and Steve wasn’t crazy about secrets. Once Steve was finally able to take over, he’d tell Grant everything he needed to know, trust was a good start. Steve was the type of person who trusted people, until they gave him a reason not to. And lucky for Grant, if he did decide to stab Steve in the back, he’d take it personally. 

Steve thought about grabbing the device in his pocket, and putting it on Grant, but that was a last resort sort of thing. Tony had shown him the wonders of what he called ‘a human shock collar’. Basically if a person goes out of a certain area, they’re shocked, the further they go, the higher the voltage. Steve didn’t want to use that unless it was completely necessary. 

Steve smiled when Grant spoke, it was nice to break the tension in the van “I’m not your escort, Grant. Starting today, you can look at me as your new SO… I’m in charge of you from now on, we have a lot to talk about when we get to my place.”  Steve couldn’t help but tell him the truth, Steve wasn’t the type to lie to people, especially after everything that had happened with SHIELD.

He didn't know what he had been expecting the man to say. A few harsh words of disgust perhaps. Or at least a threat concerning his obvious desire to slip the cuffs from his wrists and shoot every living man in the van with their own firearms. He honestly wouldn't have blamed the captain for a few well chosen words. Even Skye couldn't keep the distaste for him out of her voice as she spoke to him, and he wouldn't begrudge the man who had fought HYDRA back in their beginning a little well deserved vengeance. But it was the very fact that none of those things came out of Steve's mouth that caused Grant to truly feel uneasy.

His eyes lowered briefly, but only for a moment before they were back, staring the other man down with the very same intensity he had used so many times before with the members of his team. He was guarded now, even more so than he had been with Coulson, but it was almost an involuntary reaction to the other man's smile. He immediately became suspicious of the captain's words, his thoughts instantly reminding him that Steve Rogers was probably only trying to get a reaction out of him. He didn't trust him nor did he believe the words, and he wouldn't allow himself to fall into their false security.

"I'm sure we do," he replied, his voice holding a edge of bitterness that hadn't been present when he spoke before. He wanted to make it clear to Rogers that he knew exactly what he was trying to do. "I've told Coulson everything. I made it clear I could cooperate with him. I even offered to tell Skye everything that I knew. There's nothing more to say. I'm not making another deal, not after what Coulson did to me."

He settled back against the wall of the van, his eyes shifting from the man beside him. His fingers slipped from the scars on his wrist, his hands hanging uselessly in his lap as he relaxed them. He wouldn't make a break for it, simply because he knew this man would stop him if he tried. He wasn't suicidal anymore. He simply wanted to survive.
