The Russian invasion of Ukraine is yet another reminder that, when dealing with political issues, we need to look back through history.
Before WW2, Germany started pushing buttons to see what the Allies would let them get away with. Russia is now doing the same thing with NATO. Sanctioning Russia and trying to ‘negotiate’ with a fascist isn’t going to work. We tried that before and it didn’t work. We need to stomp them down before they can do more damage than they’ve already done.

For all the tankies and misguided “leftists” who somehow think that backing Putin is the way to show how “pure” their “communism” is—THIS is how you do it. THIS is how you rise up. These Russian protesters aren’t talking shit, while hiding behind a keyboard, in the safety of a country that’s safely not being invaded. These Russian citizens are openly protesting Putin’s war and their own government. They are putting it all on the line and literally risking everything to protest Putin’s imperialism. They are showing solidarity with the people of Ukraine.
Love is stored in the salt and pepper. Hope is on the garlic powder, and good wishes are in mixed in with your herbs and spices(chili powders, cumin, oregano, basil, rosemary, etc.), be they fresh or dry. There's happiness in the butter, and a big welcome sign in all your sauces and gravies. Dry bland food isn't made with love. It's made with sadness, and it passes that sadness on to whoever's consumed it. Spread the love, spread the joy; season your food, people!

When the camp is attacked, Steve jumps into action, snatching Tony and running into the jungle to escape and work their way towards safety.
But long days and nights together bring back old feelings, and one day Steve takes a risk and asks Tony to give them another chance.

Steve doesn't swim in self-delusion. He knows that he is sick and that his owner is even worse. He is aware of it every time he rips some nameless guy’s throat out and feels the crunch of bones under his fingers. He is aware of it every time the rush of adrenaline at seeing life slip away from a stranger’s eyes hits him and gets him bothered and panting in ways that have nothing to do with physical exhaustion.
But it feels so good…
His owner’s approach is less personal. His shots fall clean and take out several foes at a time, his figure elegant and so graceful he looks like a god among savages. He is power incarnated, cold and burning like a sun at the same time… and Steve tries not to focus on him when they are fighting together, least his knees go weak and his technique falters. It’s fine though. They will go home afterwards and his owner will fuck him on the hard floor, with most of their gear still on and a vicious grip in his hair.
