Anarchy Arcade allows you to build a fully functional arcade with your own Steam library and other non-Steam games. Customise the Arcade as you like, with pictures/posters, props, furniture, movies, internet pages, internet radio, YouTube videos, and large variety of Arcade Cabinets and home consoles. Once it’s built you can then play the games and watch movies directly from your arcade.
The customisation options are incredible, you can put any media onto anything you can think of (once unlocked), you can play Starcraft from a Gameboy, Watch a movie from a tablet, Play GTA IV from a Steam Box and so much more. There’s even huge amount of emulator support, so you can play classic SNES games on a SNES through Anarchy Arcade. You probably won’t play them as you’ll be too busy making your arcade look awesome, but you CAN play them, in Anarchy Arcade you can play anything.
Anarchy Arcade has now been Greenlit. It also has some great new features for 2014, such as GameJolt, Netflix, Twitter and Hulu support.
We’d highly getting it before the official release, as we can’t imagine Nintendo and Sega will allow them to use their consoles in the finished version!

Hippo doesn’t have time for this
I think tumblr has left a lot of us emotionally stunted. This is a great community for empowerment, catharsis, or coping, but those things aren’t recovery in and of themselves. Comparatively, they’re easy when compared to the painful self-reflection and real-world scenarios...

the idea of people having to be ‘useful’ is just so gross, like people do not exist to be used
having to produce something and have a use is a capitalist ideal and not an intrinsic part of humanity
just by being alive you are human and you are worth something and you can never be useless

Unlike most architects, Jan Körbes spent two years living in a caravan.
“I wanted my own space,” said Körbes, who spends half his time traveling for work. Initially an experiment, such mobile living actually worked. But anyone who has lived in a caravan would know that there is a lack of space, and, er, privacy.
While an apartment might be a solution for most, Körbes was inspired to build a home from an old grain silo, which he found in the Netherlands and shipped to Germany. The home cost $20,000, and Körbes has been living in the silo with his 7-year-old daughter since July.

WHEN ART MEETS ARCHITECTURE
Every now and then when we have business to do far abroad, there is some time left to visit architecture and art in the city we are busy. This time we had the opportunity to see a piece of Do Ho Suh in Seoul.
The south korean artist started to rebuild his home with a thin layer of fabric. The space he is able to create with this wonder of craftmansship is amazing. Imagining that this is all hand sewn on a sewing machine blows you away.
Whenever one of his projects is in reach to visit, don’t miss the opportunity.
