SURPRISE!! I've always wanted to start a month-long drawing challenge and after looking around I found a SEVERE lack of clown-centered prompts. So I took it upon myself to create my own clowntober calendar! Draw a clown themed around the prompt word for each day (no pressure of course!) and post 'em under the hashtag #clowntober and/or tag me on instagram or tumblr!

Howdy, folks, August is almost upon us, so I hope you’ll join in for Yeehawgust’s 4th year!

Yeehawgust features daily prompts as well as alternative weekly prompts, for those of us who are a bit slower on the draw. Don’t draw at all? No problem! Submit any art at all, be it illustration, comics, writing, fanfiction, screenarchery, photography, embroidery, sculpture, or whatever other creative endeavors you might enjoy. All skill levels are welcome, and this can be a great opportunity to experiment with new styles and techniques. 

Whether you love canonically western media like Red Dead Redemption and Fallout New Vegas, or you’re looking for a chance to make a cowboy AU and put your blorbos in a Stetson and spurs, this is the month for you!

Above is the first official March of Pain prompts list and some alternatives. All of those will also be typed out at the bottom of this post for accessibility.

March of Pain is similar to things like Whumptober, Comfortember, and Hurtcember: That is to say it's a list of hurt/comfort and whump-oriented prompts for writers, artists, etc. to fill throughout the month of March.
