So.. I doubt many remember my original Survival Games I did (it’s here if you’re curious!) but I had a lot of fun with it and decided to do it again! Welp, it’s been a long time (years) but I’m back with a new name! StorytellerSimmer was a bit of a mouthful but it’s still me and I’m starting fresh with a new challenge of my own creation!

Welcome to the 100 Alien Babies Challenge! This is a little like the 100 Babies Challenge with a few twists.. and is technically the 100 alien and half alien baby challenge but that seemed less catchy!

Meet Edwin Frost, he’s obsessed with space and aliens, he always has been. This obsession has been steadily growing and he wants to know more.. Little does he know what he’s signed himself up for.

I’ll be sharing Edwin’s adventures through both screenshots and videos (if all goes according to plan) so I hope you enjoy them!

RULES:

+ The founder of the legacy and subsequent heirs are to be male for a twist on the classic challenge.

+ The patriarch of the challenge family should be set so they can become impregnated when woohooing. They cannot try for baby with non-aliens but woohoo with whoever they please. (This ensures that they can get pregnant by either sleeping with an alien or being abducted)

+ The founder may be (and is encouraged to be) a scientist. Usually in such challenges the mother stays at home and has to deal with all the babies but the scientist career offers inventions that allow the sim more contact with aliens. After a family has all inventions then future patriarchs cannot have a career.

+ Babies cannot be aged up until their birthday, toddlers can only be aged up if they have 5 in one skill and/or 3 in all skills (this may change in play testing), children and teens can be aged up early if they are A students and/or have completed an aspiration.

+ Lot traits that help with fertility/career/child raising may not be chosen at the start but may be bought later at a cost of 1,000s for the first, 2,500s for the second and 5,000s for the third

+ No adding extra aliens to your world, you have to make do with what’s there. This should make things especially tricky in the first generation but that should balance out once you have sim science gadgets!

+ Aim for 100 alien and half alien babies.

I did this death to a sim one time in the Sims 1… and the guy starved to death and it was pretty graphic and drawn out for that game.. I remember feeling very weird about the whole thing and never did that again. It was so traumatic to me haha I didn’t even feel near as bad when I made Cassandra and Bella get in the pool and pulled out the ladders so they would die and my chick could marry and gain Mortimer’s wealth lol… I may have been a lot more twisted when I played the Sims1…

Hahaha! Oh dear…. My friend and I once made a family on sims 1 with the specific desire to kill all of them in a different way - one we locked away with the fireworks so he burned to death, another we killed in the pool and then one had the most torturous death of all - being locked in a room for days! Then all the children got taken away by social workers. Good times indeed! Twisted times, but good times!

This guy won’t damn die though! I keep needing to take Nia off the lot to get her food at the park, so his needs get jumped back up again. So he’s just constantly standing about in a puddle of his own pee!

Have you tried putting him in a walled in pool? That doubles the chances of death (drowning or starvation) Or if you have spa day throw a lot of incense burners in there with him and light them all (they’re terrible for catching fire)

..I blame the survival games for this knowledge.

Mini Hiatus (sorry)

With the new patch causing me some issues I’m looking at my mods and debating which way to go in the future. I’ll never go full vanilla because I wouldn’t get sims like Roxie without cc but I’m considering stripping back to less custom content.

I will be on a mini hiatus while I try to decide what to do and sort out my game and my sims for ongoing challenges (Tiny Living, Pyramid and the Embersongs may need makeovers if I strip out chunks of cc)

Hopefully I can use this time to nag family & friends to see if I can get Get Together too! (I made the mistake of watching part of The Sim Supply’s stream and some of the stuff looks so cool!)

I’m currently pondering a low cc, maxis match game. Rather than setting a strict number I may pick things I know I use a lot (I use @lumialoversims‘ cc a lot for male sims for example) and have a folder for temporary cc for specific stories/challenges that I tidy when I finish..

That’s just my initial thoughts though. I’ll think more on it! Hopefully I won’t be on hiatus for too long and I’ll be still popping in to look enviously at peoples Get Together shots!
