Aw yeah, Titans! If you're here because I followed you and you're wondering who the heck I am, you should probably check out awyeahmona, my personal/general tumblr, instead, because that's where I talk about more than just sidekick-y DC team comics. I can't be as reliable with my responses as I like, but I'm always open to whatever you have to share or say. :) UPDATE Feb 24 2010: I'm trying to increase this blog's accessibility while still finding ways to manage my own obsessive-compulsive issues with completionism, perfectionism, decision-making, detail fixation, etc. For now, what this means is I'm going to start transcribing the dialogue of any comics panels into onscreen text, and do a quick, rough description of any other important visual details in those images where I can, unless I start spiraling into compulsivity. But any fanart or textless images I'm going to leave without descriptions, at least for now. If you're wondering what the purpose of image descriptions is, I gave a brief explanation here; if you have any other questions, feel free to ask!

Ahhh this is such a lovely Kory. Her radient happy face. Also once again I speak up in defense of this Troia costume because whatever haters, it’s rad.
Also I love the T-Jet so much because I love everything that has to do with the Titans love of customization. Oh we’ll just land our T-Jet by our T shaped tower and put on our personalized hats and sweaters with TT on them, because we’re a cool team.

I can’t honestly say I like any of Starfire’s costumes, so I took a stab at designing my own. It’s silly that’s really the only thing keeping me from drawing her as often as other characters I like.

New comics might have more sophisticated colouring techniques, but sometimes the brightness and boldness of the old-skool stuff is more striking by far. Plus the panache of the artists, who weren’t as concerned with making women pose in nonsensical “sexy” poses all the time and making sure that men never ever EVER looked gentle or vulnerable.
KORY: Do something...please.

KORY: (sheds a single tear as she watches Donna walk purposefully away) I...I love you, too.
I’m excited for Rose!!! But I really hope Rose and Kon don’t hook up.

& i dunno, it would be kind of turnabout fair play to have kon & rose awkwardly making out and then trying to just be friends while talking about how much they luuuv cassie. (tim and cassie, i am looking at you and your kon issues.)

So Scott Lobdell already said something about Rose/Kon not being something that's gonna happen (:D!), but I wanted to share this discussion anyway because hehhehheh, Tim/Cassie and any and all trainwreck parallels connected to it.

Wonder Girl: Then maybe you ought to hide out in the zoo, Gar! The only thing you’d have to worry about there are kids with hot-wired rubber bands!
Narration: Her name is Wonder Girl, and it is with astonishing ease that the agile young Amazon somersaults before the final truck…
Wonder Girl: Better put on the brakes, Mister! I’m not letting you pass!
Narration: The driver seems to snicker at the lovely teenage girl as his foot presses harder on the gas pedal…and, for a moment, the truck lurches forward…only to find itself abruptly halted in its path.
Because Wonder Girl just stopped it with her bare hands, crunching the hood and sending the driver flying.
Kat suggested I try drawing someone I’ve never drawn before :)
I’m so late to the boat I JUST discovered the opacity pressure option on the brush tool, i’m like a kid at christmas. Trying new poses/coloring styles, but the perspective is still WAY off.
