you know what, I like "don't turn on the light". it doesn't sound bad to me
one of the things that makes me angry is when people say "if you know, you know". this both implies that you know the information to the question I'm asking, and that you CHOOSE NOT TO TELL ME? like, why?! 😭 just say the answer and we'll be chill it's not that hard
(chapter 5 normal enemy spoilers) I love him omg
Spoilers for Deltarune secrets.
The theme for Deltarune chapter 5's egg man is really cool and incredibly interesting to me. I find the lack of the usual egg man motif that the previous 4 themes have had very remarkable, since I've heard that this is the last time the egg man is going to appear. To me, it tells the tale of the Forgotten Man finally beginning to forget himself, like something adjacent to the "Everywhere at the End of Time" album. The similarities between the two are further elevated by the mysterious atmosphere held by both the song and the Forgotten Man himself. The waltz-like piano arrangement of the track also invokes the same feeling in me that "Waltz for the Dead Clown" does. That meaning, a loss of sanity coupled with calm piano music that has only slightly fallen apart in turn. I also really like the described visual of being able to look onward and see tree after tree and room after room, all identical to each other. I can't really say much of what it means, at least at the moment, but it really resonates with me for whatever reason.

Modern ads make me so mad. I'm not trying to nostalgia bait about advertisements of all things here, but didn't they used to be simple, where you could click one simple X and be done with it? Nowadays in games, I have to click one X which takes me to the play store, exit out of the play store, wait 5 seconds for a second X to appear, then wait another 5 seconds for a third X. Sometimes, the ads will even say "don't miss out" when I click the third X, and make me click it another time. It feels like they're purposefully designed to waste time and have the download button on screen for as long as humanly possible. YouTube ads are bad too. Why do I always tend to get a set of double ads with an unskippable 10 second ad first, and THEN a skippable ad after that?! Sometimes I'll even see sets of ads that say one of THREE when I click the screen. Not to mention, since I'm on mobile, oftentimes the ads will change the video mode to take up most of the screen or straight up force me into full-screen mode. It all makes me so infuriated and it all seems so unnecessarily inconvenient.
jax has always reminded me of these little rubber rabbit toys that I used to get for easter as a kid. if nothing else, at least since episode 8 came out
why isn't the faesoddoid fungus costume for owlesque available right now? was it just a limited time thing?
I want one of those cameras with the cool static filter over it and the date in the corner. the ones that the childhood videos of the people in shows/movies/games are recorded with. I feel like it would be cool to have
There are a couple of games from my childhood that I can vividly remember playing, but are nowhere to be found when I try looking for them now. One of such games involved an orange cube jumping upwards in a 2 dimensional space. The total environment was rendered in 3D, but you could only move the cube along the Y axis. The game would have you, as the cube, jumping between sets of closing beams above you in order to try and time it perfectly so they closed as you landed. Occasionally, there would also be these droplets that you could collect, and they would act as coins. Once you had enough droplets, you could unlock a new shape to play as that wasn't a cube.
Another game that I remember playing also involved a cube, but in this game you had to guide the cube along a set path while avoiding obstacles such as spikes. Frankly, I don't remember as much about this one compared to the previous one, but I do remember playing it, and I do remember (perhaps incorrectly) that it was made by the Ketchapp studio. I recall the game being titled something along the lines of "Step", but it's unclear to me. I can't find it when I browse Ketchapp's current games. I'm moreso just talking about and thinking of the vibes of these games from my childhood that I can't find today, but if someone were to find this post by chance and find information about them, it would be neat to see.
I have a white noise machine in my room. one time in the morning, I was violently woken up by the aggressive static and warbling sounds it makes when it's running out of battery. however, I thought that something was wrong with it internally. I then spent roughly the next five minutes hitting and whacking the machine in an attempt to get it to stop. it wasn't until the next few times I was woken up by the same noise that I started noticing the pattern of it coming unplugged each time

I'd honestly like working at a restaurant because I like cooking. if only it wasn't so dangerous to do and the customers didn't have the capacity to be so hostile. I'm not trying to get pumped full of lead for forgetting the ketchup on someone's burger
