she was tired of waiting, she knew she was and everyone in her life was telling her she should be more direct with him so she decided that’s what she’d finally do. “i don’t think you’re in trouble with me, not unless you count this as trouble.” savannah stepped into his space and moved her arms to around his neck before leaning in to finally kiss him softly.

he was about to answer her, he had every intention to, but she had closed the distance and shut him up in her own way. whatever he was about to say didn't matter anymore. he didn't care that it was in the middle of his place of work. arms wrapping around her waist, axel held her closer, savouring every moment of their kiss.

she hopped up on top his desk and crossed a leg over the other, leaning back on her hands while she watched him work. "i can be more distracting you know." savannah uncrossed her legs to hop down and walked over next to him.

she wasn't playing fair. axel put his hand on his chest when she walked over to him, convinced his heart was going to give out on him "is that so? i think i'm in trouble with you"

Matt chuckled to himself when Axel started to look for the tool. "Everything alright, Axel?" He asked from his desk, spinning the chair around and giving him a wave with said tool.

he was hunting high and low for the tool that he swore was right in front of him. "i can't find this tool i was using. it was right here" he was getting annoyed now that he couldn't find it. axel patted down his pockets in case he placed it there while he was working but there was no luck. looking over at matt, axel considered kicking him out of his chair when he saw him wave the tool "do you live to annoy me?"

they'd made plans to hang out when they were both done with work and savannah had finished her shift early so went to meet him at the garage. "take your time, i know i'm here early." she greeted and made her way to his desk to sit on it.

the plans with savannah had been on his mind, which is why he was running slightly later than intended when he was finishing up a gearbox he was working on. he pushed on to finish the job but he found his eyes looking over to savannah "you know, you're very distracting"

hesitant at first he tried to avoid her, he tried to keep her at arms length in fear of the past repeating itself but now he couldn't imagine days without her. he used to roll his eyes at people who said seeing someone brightened their day and then savannah found her way into his life. seeing her enter the garage he smiled and gave her a wave

"hey, i'm just finishing up here and then we can get out of here."

Matt watched Axel working away on the truck, whistling, since when did doom and gloom Axel Addams whistle? It must have something to do with Savannah so once Axel had his back turned, Matt quickly sprinted over as quietly as he could, grabbed the tool he had been using and hid it before ducking back over to his desk. Now he just had to wait.

savannah had been a saving grace in his life. he went from being constantly annoyed and hiding away from the world to making a point of showing up to events and smiling more than he had done in the past decade. unaware of matt's antics, axel worked away. he turned to find a part he was looking for but hen he turned back the tool was missing. he checked round his workspace and on the floor with no luck. a frown formed on his face, mood ruined by the missing tool. "what the fuck?"

"then i guess so." savannah said with a smile. she looked around at all the stuff that was going on and turned her head a little towards him. "actually, do you want to grab food and get out of here?"

"oh you would" he laughed along with her, feeling the lightest he's felt in years "anything involving you can't be bad. if getting into trouble with you just so happens to be part of the deal then i guess i'm in trouble."

his arm being there didn't go unnoticed, in fact she was trying her hardest not to think about the fact it was there as she walked closely next to him. "one thing you'll learn is i don't like to play by the rules, it's more fun that way." she teased with a smile.

he had tested the waters by putting his arm around her waist and he took it as an okay move given the fact she hadn't made like sister hardy and kicked him in the face. "you know, i always had a feeling you we're going to get me into some sort of trouble"

"i have a good eye for other things too." savannah said feeling a little bold but didn't specify, only left it at that. now she smirked and started walking towards the food stand, "that's what you think but i don't believe in the whole needing to wait before swimming."

axel raised an eyebrow with a smile. she was brazen, he liked that in her. he walked alongside her towards the food stand, arm around her waist "not even the swimming rules will keep me safe. i should've known better. how foolish of me"

"never needed glasses in my life i've got twenty twenty vision and always have." savannah said but smiled at him, nodding in agreement. "good, as you should because i'm going to. as for the food," she took the drink from him then sipped at it a little, "the sausages smelled good when i walked by earlier, i was thinking of trying that."

"you do have a great eye for trucks" he chuckled "oh i don't doubt it with you. you're stubborn and determined and i know better than to put up a fight with you" he grinned "then let's go get you some food. i'll be safe for at least half an hour after that since you'll need to wait to swim"

"hey there handsome," savannah greeted axel with her towel wrapped around her waist since she took a quick dip to cool off. "i hope you're prepared for me to drag you into the water at some point, it's nice and cold and feels great right before having food." she said smiling at him.

"someone forgot their glasses" he chuckled, holding up his fingers at her eyes to form glasses. "i would say that i'm going to protest about it but i know i'll lose, so i've made peace with being dragged into the water. there's not many people i'd get in the water for" he smiled, offering her a drink "what food are you thinking of having?"

savannah did wonder if axel might've done it on purpose but she was content with not knowing the answer, chalking it up to being an accident but thought it was a little funny if it was deliberate. "that's sweet, did someone teach you to cook then or are you self taught?" she smiled but rolled her eyes playfully at him as she got to working on chopping the vegetables. "i only go gordon with my truck so if you work on it just know i'll have my eyes on you like a hawk." she said looking over at him.

he left savannah to take over chopping the vegetable while he dropped the pasta into the pot ready to bring to the boil "my grandma was big on cooking, she took it upon herself to teach everyone in the family. she had me learning all the family recipes" he answered, tuning to face her and taking a drink of water while he had a spare moment. he could understand the attachment to a truck. he was the same with his before it died out on him "is that just with the truck?"
