"It's that bad, huh?" Lonnie knew that staying out in the - rain? - with Sam for so long was a risk, but it was one he had, at the time, gladly taken. However, now his skin was irritated, and his arms were especially bad. He carefully held out his arm for Tilly to inspect, hesitating for a moment. "Oh - well, I mean, I don't know. I'm sure you and your family need it a lot more. You have all those animals, right? Were they inside their little.... animal coops or are they all red and irritated too?"
“It just looks painful is all. And this is the least I can do. Can’t have you walkin’ round uncomfortable when I have somethin’ that’ll help.” She sprayed his arms, clicking her tongue and waving her free hand dismissing his concerns, “You’re a doll but I got fields of flowers, darlin’. I can whip more of this up in no time.” Continuing softly, “…We were one of the lucky ones.” The Hicks family acres were far enough out that they weren’t affected by the ‘rain’. “The only furry friend we’re missing is one of our barn cats, Tootsie. Like the candy. She’s orange and blind and sometimes would wander off for miles but always came back… So if you see her she knows her name and loves attention.” She placed the bottle in the man’s hand, “Cisco and I have been meanin’ to put up more signs but with the food shortages as you can imagine we’ve been busy as bees.”
