DIOR HAUTE COUTURE par Raf Simons | FW 2015/16
I bought condoms for the first time and I feel really empowered by it.
I did research. I checked out multiple brands. I decided what was important to me and searched for it.
I used to believe buying condoms was a “man’s job”, but it’s MY job to keep control of what enters my body.
These condoms are completely vegan and the company is Black owned. 20% of the proceeds go toward community initiatives.
Can’t wait to try them out.
oh this is dope

Saw your hashtag @chemohines. Unless a condom company says their condoms are vegan they probably aren’t. Most latex condoms are produced by using casein which is a byproduct of dairy milk. They usually also contain parabens, glycerin (probably not kosher or veggie glycerin) and spermacides. Non-latex condoms are usually made with animal products as well (sheep skin, etc) but there are vegan non-latex condoms too. I’ve been thinking about this a lot and wondering how these substances affect our reproductive health, especially as it relates to Black and Latino people. We’re constantly having the fear of HIV, pregnancy, etc shoved down our throats but being given condoms that may be just as bad for us to “protect” ourselves. I wonder what the connection between common condoms and uterine fibroids, ovarian cyst, cervical cancer, etopic pregnancy, infertility and other issues is.
Y'all be in love every 6 months & I only been in one serious relationship in my whole life
life is so much simpler when you stop explaining yourself to people and just do what works for you
