You say people can hate you, but they cannot express it. That sounds like a contradiction. The subreddit was at 150,000 when it was banned, but it was also the fastest growing subreddit for months, so it is not just 150,000 but all the users it would have gained as well. Besides, I'm not just speaking for r/fatpeoplehate but for all subreddits. There are plenty hate subreddits that are now taking precautions. Some subreddits even became private, so ransoms sjw won't join and cry about it. Therefore, there is a discontent in the community much greater than 150,000 users. You say you don't have to deal with the hate. Fine, just don't visit the site. How hard is that? I never heard it until the ban. It wasn't being promoted on prime time TV during your favorite show. It was just that community openly posting whatever they want. You said you want people who hate you to keep it to themselves. That's what they did in their own subreddit. Keeping the hate to themselves within that subreddit. If reddit didn't want its threads to make it top, then it could easily just prevent any post from that site make it to top, or make the subreddit visible to its members only, but banning them just makes them go somewhere else. They are still out here and making other communities. Nothing has changed on the internet. I like when you say fatpeoplekiller92 would get fired if he used his real name. To see how unbalanced this is, you won't get fired for being fat, so you can be as fat as you want and never worry about losing your job. You have laws to protect you from that. However, if someone shows his discontent to fat people, I'm sure your organizations and fat acceptance will make anything they can to get that person fire. Do you see the difference? They just want to post something funny or get a rage rant and deal with their lives. You want someone to lose his job and shame him on public. Like the harm you want to cause and hate you have is much worse than theirs. Lastly, freedom of speech is more than stopping traffic and causing trouble to the police. These people can say whatever they want. I see them being interviewed on TV everyday. Hell, reddit doesn't even ban them. They have freedom of speech. They can yell at the police whenever and everywhere. Fatpeoplehate cannot even have a subreddit. If the existence of this people bothers you so much, sorry they are still out there.
