The brothers reactions was exactly how i was watching the scene. Yeah boys your brother is not quite well in the head.

Look I'm all for Ren Su Su and her girl's gang to take revenge from the Huo family and k*l these pieces of sh* but I also get the brother and his concern (actually I'm on his side). In a more realistic take the OTP should not end up together, like they're both so toxic to each other but it's a drama so i expect they will give them a HE.

AAAHHHHH I KNEW THIS WAS GONNA HAPPEN. of course Qingyu would absolutely hate Susu when he learns the truth, and with good reason too! i'm on HIS SIDE because the way everything's going...i don't even want Qingyi and Susu to end up together.

i understand Susu's actions and the motivation behind it, but that doesn't justify the irreparable damage it's done to Qingyi. she's shown several times that her mission comes before everything else, and after the difficult life Qingyi's lived, i don't want him to end up with someone who claims to love him while also consistently using him and their history for her benefit.

and i totally hate that the Murong brothers might be in conflict because of Susu, not when they just made up 😭 the only person who was always ALWAYS on Qingyi's side....i'm sick yall i do not like this at all.

I literally screamed "bitch wtf" at the screen. Stop fucking with him and giving him hope! The funny thing she says this because in some fucked up corner of her brain, she really wishes it was the case. But it isn't and stop dragging this man in and leading him on, he's done nothing bad for you and has almost died for you repeatedly.

The hope on his face (even as he knows it's mostly lies, a small part of him believes) kills me.

This is toxic, she's toxic, and I love that the drama knows she's awful and he's pathetic about her and it makes sense for both of the characters and I am with da'ge wanting to just scream about it.

The thing is, they might as well be talking in two different languages. She never explains what actually happened back then or even now, she cursorily says she never meant to hurt MRQY; which is very true, but for someone whose main concern in this whole situation is his brother, not sufficient in light of thinking she's someone who lies with every breath - a detailed explanation should be the minimum and the focus. And then she launches into why it matters to her (vengeance on Huos) which he of course cares nothing about (why would he care about a stranger's vengeance especially since she provides no detail about vile stuff Huos have been doing for decades; to him she only wants vengeance for a dead friend) and "oh this marriage will still be advantageous to you" (which he doesn't care about - to him it would be absurd to marry someone who's gonna draw him into clan war and who to him is a sociopath who used and abused his beloved brother for supposed advantages of taking care of the family.)

I mean da'ge now knows MRQY was so madly in love with her he did all this stuff and here the woman he loves is all "I will marry his brother for cold blooded reasons" - that just confirms to da'ge she's a monster and a user.

Team da'ge tbh.

Aaaaand once again, she's desperate and cornered so using anything to get out of this but it all confirms to him she just used and abused MRQY so he will go harder.

Honestly, Team Da'ge. He's the only sane person in this lunatic asylum.

Oh, how I wish MRQY would listen to him but he won't...

You know what I love about writing btw? She did a ton of fucked up stuff (and ML did a bunch of different fucked up stuff) but the drama also believes it's fucked up. I hate it when characters do awful/crazy/fucked up stuff and the narrative is trying to sell me it's not that. Here, it both shows that Susu and MRQY can't be happy without each other and why MRQY can't move on and why Susu can't give up her vengeance but is also on board with da'ge that this is a fucked up mess and there ain't nothing sane about it.

Murong Qingyi is so complex, actually. He has low self-esteem and nearly absent survival instincts, but he'd go feral for the people he cares about, ruthless to a murderous and suicidal extent.

It seems that for him love = pain, in some variation. Either suffer for the people he loves, or by their hand, or, alternatively, simply because of them. He and Susu seem to be speaking a very similar love language. While she's at the point where she doesn't want him to get hurt, when he does - and for her - that actually comes through to her in ways no confessions ever could. Because he's doing all the bonkers stuff for her, even competing with her, who's more sacrificial. I think he's low-key trying to guilt-trip her into staying by his side, and while it never worked before, it just might at some point XD This is all a skewed example of 'see and be seen' by that other special person, just accompanied with a hefty amount of violence.

Da-ge never needed proof of Qingyi's love, I feel it's always been a more or less unconditional familial affection. And still, he was the one who sent Qingyi to prison (and Qingyi suffered his hand injury there because of his brother). And that moment in their teens when Da-ge was suffering to help Qingyi, experiencing quite literal physical pain, once again establishing the love = pain equation in Qingyi's mind.

He knew very little love, and the people who were supposed to take care of him while he was growing up - were either violent or abusive in some kind of way (the only type of love he actually knew before meeting Susu for the first time).

In all of the scenes we've seen since her coming back - he's selfless to the point of throwing his life away for other people. Either to prove/show his love (in Susu's case, and she does get the message), or to help his da-ge and his girlfriend (not because the Huos are despicable and need to be obliterated, but because they're hurting his people). He didn't go on a vendetta rampage mission for himself and what they did to him, but rushed into a fight headfirst without thinking - for all those other people that he cares about.

He's broken in so many ways, and it's so beautifully portrayed D: That man needs decades of therapy (but with the amount of men he's already finished off, that probably won't help at this point).

i recently watched a really great video on the prospective deals with lebron and AD and they brought up the great point that they would have to get a couple deals dollar perfect in order to get both guys, so i dont think both of them will happen, but i would fucking love it if we got lebron. lets make that olympics magic happen again baby
