Marilyn Monroe & Tom Ewell on "The Seven Year Itch", 1955. 🇺🇸 Her acting had a relaxed, effortless charm. The director Billy Wilder was known for demanding many takes, and Marilyn, who often struggled with nerves and confidence, would repeat scenes again and again until the tone felt just right.
Even for simple lines, she sometimes needed dozens of takes, yet the final result feels completely natural and spontaneous. It’s a reminder that her charm wasn’t accidental, it was carefully shaped, even under pressure, into that unforgettable screen presence.
