Do you have Ferbella headcanons?
HEY i got so excited when I received this ask but didn't have any ideas then I FORGOT ABOUT IT !! SORRY !!
Idk if I have any specific headcanons other than how I personally would imagine their relationship goes
- No way would they figure out their feelings while they're still kids, I think they'd almost certainly get together once they're older
- I DO think Ferb falls first-- I mean we know he has his own crush as a kid but I think he'd start to outgrow that pretty quickly and maybe he even have a small crush on Isa as a kid as well (I think people are right when they say everyone in the gang has had a crush on Isa at some point or another). If he does start developing real feelings for her, it'd prob be in middle or high school, but he keeps it to himself. As long as Isa (seemingly) has feelings for phineas, he'd stay out of their way (T-T)
- There's plenty of points in Isabella's life where I think she might give up on courting phineas, for plenty of reasons. Maybe as she gets older she realizes she doesn't like him that way, or that she doesn't feel for him like she used to. Maybe her feelings slowly fade away and it takes her time before she accepts it. Maybe she simply gives up hope with phineas (as seen in AYA) even though she still liked him, and decides to move on. Maybe, after she gets together with phineas is AYA, it simply doesn't work out between them. But regardless in my mind, I always prefer ferbella gets together after isabella no longer has feelings for phineas (Ferb does not deserve to be a rebound or a consolation prize)
- ^ this shows theres a lot of possibilities for the development of ferbellas relationship, and its hard to decide what I think WOULD happen, yk? I think I prefer most when Isa and Phin both realize they prefer being friends to lovers, and ferbella naturally follows that. I think when isa stops focusing so much on phineas as a love interest, she'd be able to see the other options in her life, and maybe realize feelings that she might've had all along.
- I don't really have a preference of who would make a move first, I think it could equally be either one. If ferb knows isa no longer is interested in phineas, he'd might feel comfortable attempting to romance her (though he'd 100% talk to phin first about it tbh). I could also see him feeling like he still shouldn't just bc of their history, or think that she would never like him, but she makes a move on him first. Either way I think they'd both agonize over their feelings for ages before doing anything about it.
- ^ They're both big romantics obviously so any courting would be obnoxiously sweet.. that's another reason I think they work so well together. They might even end up being competitive over their romance, trying to one up each other's gestures (in fact there are fics where they do just that).
- Phineas and Candace and ofc everyone in their lives would be so supportive and also definitely tease them relentlessly. Candace FOR SURE would never let Isabella forget that she was right ("or ferb"). Phineas is overjoyed that two of his favorite people on the world found love with each other. Linda and Lawrence are surprised at how things ended up, but not at all disappointed, they love Isabella.
Anyway I say all this and yet I think there's endless ways one could tell this story, I couldn't even decide on one possibility, and I think every possible scenario is interesting. Anyway live laugh love ferbella
