Grey's Anatomy - Season 15's blooming romance and the conversation it starts

*SPOILERS BELOW*

So, this season we were introduced to a new character (Nico Kim) and as we have seen, he has taken an interest in Schmidt.

In this most recent episode, we were treated to what I thought was a monumental romance scene between Kim and Schmidt. Not only was it something a lot of us were hoping for, but it also sparked a conversation about understanding homosexual individuals.

Many of us (that are gay) aren't always necessarily aware of it. We just kind of develop and feel different and sometimes that makes us feel things like self-doubt, confusion or shame, as Kim inflicted on Schmidt due to not wanting to help someone else out of what he perceived to be a "shame spiral".

However, Schmidt's response was every bit as powerful as it needed to be. For some of us to awaken and come into who we are, all it takes sometimes is just one experience where these confused and shameful feelings are given light and clarity and that we are made to feel that our emotions and thoughts regardless of inexperience, are valid.

Schmidt's feelings clearly reached Kim... as you could tell from the way he grabbed schmidt for one smoky kiss! The scene closed with the camera panning away from the ambulance so let's hope that in next week's episode that Schmidt had a good "first time" with a man! I know if I was him, I would LOL!
