"Ren! I found a place that sells super spicy curry! You like spicy foods, right? You should come with me to this place and try it!"
ââOh?â Ren smirked, crossing his arms over his chest loosely. âAnd who exactly would be paying for this, hm?â
âI would, of course! It was my idea after all, and Iâd like to see if you can handle just how hot this curry is. It made me cry when I tried it!â
âSimply because you hear someone else refer to someone one way does not give you permission to do so either.â In fact, he wasnât even fond of the violist responding to him in such a manner, but it seemed this case with Natsuki was a lost cause.
With a sigh the tealet shook his head, crossing his arms in front of his chest and glancing off to the side. âYou do not need to warn me about such a thing. I am well aware of consequences of being out in the rain. Do you take me for an idiot?â
Wow, talking to this senior was really difficult.. All of Quartet Night except Reiji seemed hard to approach. He got lucky getting Reiji as his own senior.. âMy bad, my bad.. I wonât call you that again!â
âI donât think youâre an idiot!â he suddenly interjected, seeming shocked that the blunet came to that assumption. âYouâre actually the smartest person I know! I hardly understand some of the words you say-- .. I mean..â Ah, how could he salvage this conversation.. Otoya wanted to make friends with everyone after all.
Otoya seemed to have read her mind, even assuring her before she could utter anything beyond his name. Either he knew her that well, or she really was a worrywart. It was probable that it was a combination of the two. Looking at his expression, she frowned slightly, rummaging in her pocket and drawing out a tissue. âYou might still need to get used to it, Ittoki-kun,â Haruka hummed softly. Standing up and leaning over the table, careful to not catch a sleeve in the plate of food between them, Haruka pressed the material to his cheek, just below his eye to dab the tears.
âIt would be a lot of fun to come back with everyone!â Her eyes brightened at the idea of everyone sharing curry around a big table. It would seem almost like a small party. âJinguji-san likes spicy food, right? Iâm sure he would try it!â She laughed warmly, thinking about the others and their reactions to the food. âIf itâs Jinguji-san, he might even get Syo-kun or Hijirikawa-san to try it.â No promise that they would enjoy it, but Syo was slightly competitive, and Ren was often able to persuade Masato.
Setting her hands in her lap, now that she was seated again, Haruka smiled sweetly at the idol across from her. Bowing her head slightly, she spoke. âNot at all. Thank you for taking time to spend with me, Ittoki-kun.â
He couldnât help but to smile at just how much the composer cared. Once he saw her get up and reach over the table, Otoya was on high alert and watched her carefully with wide crimson eyes to see what she was planning on doing. When the tissue touched his face, he immediately exploded into a bright blush, something he was happy he could more than likely pass off as heat from the curry.
âWouldnât it?â He laughed suddenly, trying to make sure there wasnât any attention put onto just how bright his face was at that moment. âAh! You thought the same thing I did! Iâm sure Ren would be the only one able to handle how spicy this is.â Another laugh escaped the redhead as he got out his money to pay for the food once the check was brought. âLetâs make it a date next time!âÂ
Though immediately Otoya realized his words and shook his hands quickly, color on his face only intensifying. âI-I meant letâs set a date to do it!!â A soft sigh escaped him making him sound as if he were defeated.Â
âYou know, I always enjoy spending time with you, Nanami.â Now he was able to speak normally when she said that, able to feel himself calm down immediately. Haruka had such a power over him, it seemed. He wasnât sure what it was, but Nanami was able to both excite him to the point of trembling and calm him down completely with just her words and voice. âIâm glad weâre still able to be together just like when we met. I donât think being an idol would be as fun if you werenât here making the music for us.âÂ

The androidâs eyes narrowed as he looked at the redhead. Had Reiji not taught this boy respect? âI am simply taking note of the atmosphere, but I mist question⊠do you know anything of respect?â
âAhaha...â An awkward laugh sounded from him as he rubbed the back of his neck. âSorry.. I heard Natsuki call you that so I thought it as alright. But, Mikaze-senpai, if you stay outside when it rains youâll get sick! Tokiyaâs scolded me about it before..â
Itâs really quiet--
â; thetaleteller
thetaleteller:
Years had passed and Hayato and Tokiya were required to live out their single life as they had been instructed; and did so quite successfully. Only the servants who tended to their rooms and clothes, teachings and health checks knew that there were two princes instead of one. Their secret was maintained somehow by only letting a very select and trusted few in, and keeping it that way.Â
But it seemed like the twin princes were reaching the age where one life between two just wasnât enough anymore.
On the days where Hayato wanted to go out and mingle like the socialite he was, he was often required to meet the older men and women in court and play his role as the real older brother. This of course meant that Tokiya was also required to stay in doors otherwise he might be questioned as to why he wasnât at the gathering; but of course the younger twin had his own desires.
By the time he was twelve, Tokiya loved to read more than anything else and by the time he was fourteen heâd read every book their vast palace library had to offer. He spent his quiet, isolated days reading, hidden among the shelves or in his room with towers of novels to keep him company. Things would have stayed that way had he not unfortunately run out of things to read.
So by his seventeenth the younger twin had taken to stealing out at night to the town surrounding the palace gates, exploring the markets for new novels, or old books that smelt of history and weathered leather, with each page crisp and orange and tattered with the love of itâs author, or previous owners.Â
You couldnât get such prized articles as those in the castle; not even the foreign dignitaries who came to visit brought such treasures. No one seemed to appreciate the quality behind a softly bound sonnet like Tokiya did. And while his older brother attempted to feign interest at times for his sake, it just wasnât the same.Â
So on a night where the crown prince was engaged in palace duties, Tokiya would steal away, using the distraction of lights and music to detract from his getaway.
He was just returning that night with a new hoard of second hand works from his most frequented shop; about ten books bound in soft, almost florally pungent leather and wrapped again in cotton ties to keep them from falling apart on the way home. They hung in a sac the young prince secured over his shoulder, as he snuck around to his favourite side entrance to get back in to the castle undetected. He couldnât see any guards, but perhaps he wasnât looking all that properly; the lights from the town still burning the darkness into the back of his lids. But heâd been doing this for years now. There was no way heâd be caught then.
It was time for him to make his rounds again, Otoya thought, as he moved from his still position at the gate. Lately there had been a band of thieves trying to break into the castle so the redheaded knight wanted to be extra careful and make sure that he didnât give them any way to gain entry into the castle.
Just as he began his rounds, he noticed an unfamiliar figure walking towards the castle. Immediately he set towards the figure to see what was going on. âSir!â He called, wanting to make sure he got the personâs attention since they technically havenât done anything wrong yet. It wasnât right to accuse someone if they hadnât done anything after all.Â
Otoya caught up to the hooded figure but didnât get too close to scare them off. âWhat business do you have at the castle? No one is allowed to go through the side gates.â He frowned and stepped closer only once more to try and get a better look at the person. This person looked super suspicious, and that sac they were carrying over there shoulder was even more so.Â
âStop worrying so much. Unless youâre just trying to chicken out of our soccer match because youâre scared youâre gonna lose.â Oh, stop being so mean, Syo.
âI canât help but to be worried when youâre such a klutz though!â He interjected but soon let out a sigh and decided to drop it. âFine! Iâll show you that I can beat you at both racing and soccer!â
