I can't express enough just how boring my version of Alfred is. Like yeah, he's loud and he wears fun patterns, but he also has a bedtime alarm on his phone and he will leave a party if it goes off. Everything exciting this man has ever done has been against his will.

Like I have heard from so many foreign exchange students that they moved to America for school because it was "exiting" and "you get to be in the center of history and world politics!" and I have also seen American students overwhelmingly respond to this sentiment with "I wish it was less exciting! I wish my country was boring!"

And that's kind of how I view Alfred. Like this man lives an incredibly high energy and unpredictable life that other people think is very cool and exciting but he hates every minute of it. All he wants in a juice box and a nap and instead he's getting sent on diplomatic missions and arguing with congressmen.
