In/Visible
Materializing eco/systems towards new ethics of making
In/Visible, held at 4th Space in collaboration with Concordia University, marked the culmination of our university course exploring materiality and critical waste studies. As a team, we examined how different forms of waste intersect with design, technology, and everyday user experience.
Using 3D printing and photogrammetry, I focused on the contrast between how individuals experience waste through familiar systems like bins. Also touching on the broader invisibility of industrial waste that operates at a far larger scale yet often avoids our attention.
The event featured individual presentations and a panel discussion unpacking visibility, responsibility, and scale in waste systems. Grateful to have been part of such a thoughtful and engaging team and showcasing an exciting conclusion to our collaborative exploration.
