There’s something so magical about being able to work on lore of your OC’s/Self Inserts with the OC’s/Self Inserts of your best friends?

Ever since I started working with two of my good friends to add all of our characters together in TES lore, it’s like I have a whole new playing field of ideas!

One thing about Nchua, is that while she was never able to have her own children, she ABSOLUTELY adopts many of her traveling companions, such as

Azura (by extension Fennorian)

Gwendis

Both of my friends two OCs

Any and all non-combat pets

And if she so felt like it: Sheogorath himself

Wanted to post part of what I wrote about Nchua and Sotha Sil finally reuniting during the Clockwork City DLC, and she remembers him finally 🥹

As his eyes scan her expression, he suddenly notices a fresh new scar over her face, now marring her purple eye, the dull golden one untouched.

It suddenly felt as if he was once more within a never-ending dreamscape.

He wondered how many nights he had dreamed of this– how many hours he had spent wishing this moment to come once more, wishing he could see her, or hear her voice just once more time.

And now, here she was, the one being he doesn’t know how he lived without for so long. His light in the darkness, his best friend, his confidant. She stood there, as radiant as always, his clockwork star…

His wife.

She looked calmer, and a bit older but still…not near as old as she should look, after he does the quick math.

“Nchua…” He couldn’t stop her name from softly leaving his lips, each syllable feeling so foreign to him, to say her name after it had been so incredibly long since he last uttered it.

~Some tribunal extended headcannons~

(Just some headcanons I’ve made along my journey of making my OC Nchua, they are both good and bad! This will be before the events of Red-Mountain)

Almalexia:

Bi as hell

Very militant and direct

Not the closest with Nchua out of all of The TE

Can easily disguise her judgement behind backhanded remarks

The most fashionable

The first or second to come running when someone is in desperate need of help

Her voice is soft but she is always calculated with her words

LOVES having house pets

Nerevar:

Bi-king

A goofball

Either the smartest man in Tamriel, or the dumbest mf

Tends to forget to share plans and has to be scolded when he’s suddenly running around doing tasks

Definitely has ADHD

Has a very long fuse, but when he loses his temper it takes a moment for it to cool down

Has definitely cried over how cute Vivec and Nchua are (they’re his babies)

Nchua:

Double demi/Demi aro-ace

Left handed

Super feminine, but is also super independent

Also a champion of Azura

The youngest of the group, about the same age as Vivec

The closest with Voryn and Sotha

Tends to overwork herself when she’s stressed

Willing to physically fight anyone who might hurt her family/loved ones

Tonal Architect in training with her mother

Adores cliff racers and all of the dwemer spiders in her citadel/city

Sotha:

Double demi/Demi aro-ace

Ambidextrous

Identifies as He/Him, identifies as masculine, but also lowkey gender apathetic, poor baby just wants to tinker and make things

Experience both the “love at first sight” and “fascination at first sight” tropes when he meets Nchua

All but begs Nchua to teach him Dwemeris

Isolates himself way too much and can easily get caught up in his tinkering

Tallest and oldest in the group

Consistently forgets to eat

Despises being bored and would rather jump off a cliff than have nothing to do

When he and Nchua get married, he still works but basically becomes a house husband (and he’s very happy because now he can make his wife little trinkets)

Vivec:

He/They

Left handed

So close in age to Nchua they’re like sibling/sister

Has a terrible temper early on then mellows out over time

Inferiority complex due to internalized classism

Horrible sweet tooth, begs Nchua or Almalexia to make him sweets

Extremely good at fishing

LOVES jewelry to admire but only wears a select few pieces at a time

His jewelry collection has some pieces that were handmade gifts from Nchua

Pierced nose (a side piercing)

Despises wearing anything on his feet if he doesn’t have to

Voryn:

YOU’RE GAAAY

Just barely shorter than Sotha (like I mean BARELY)

Has Dwemer in his bloodline. How much, or if he’s part Dwemer too, is undecided

The most masculine yet feminine man ever

Has a good eye for fashion and textiles

Can’t cook for shit

Calls Nchua “little one” or “little scrib”

Medium fuse, big bomb

Lashes out with petty or passive aggressive comments

Makes the best tea you’ve ever had

Does the most scolding out of everyone

While thinking about how old Fennorian would hypothetically be, I had the shocking realization that he might be a bit younger than me!

Not saying this is an issue, I would still love him either way bc we’re definitely both adults, but DAMN!

Him making comments and acting all smug only to be put in his place when he finds out I’m his elder lmao!

While studying Dwemeris for Nchua, I’ve found a few interesting things;

There is no canon/definitive way to pronounce certain sounds. This also implies that there may also be silent sounds, much like to the “P” in “Pneumonic”

The Dwemer are absolutely shit at keeping records of their language

There aren’t enough Dwemer women in the Lore, and one of the known female names is long as fuck

The Dwemer were most likely as hubristic with their language as they were with their overall culture

The Dwemer alphabet (Morrowind’s) is so neat and organized that I genuinely think I would cry

Started replaying the Dark Heart of Skyrim in ESO again to make sure I get things correct for my lore and to hear more Fennorian dialogue, and I completely forgot how CUTE his reaction was when he first met Lyris!

The way he got so nervous by giant axe lady was exactly what I felt meeting Lyris for the first time also 😂

A little bit about my two main self inserts/ocs!

Nchua: (self insert Vestige OC)

A part Dwemer part Chimer woman who is also a champion of Azura, lived in Vvardenfell at the same time as the tribunal. She is part of what I call the tribunal extended, which consists of Vivec, Almalexia, Sotha Sil, Nerevar, and Voryn Dagoth.

She had been offered a job by Nerevar to help continue keeping good relations with the Dwarf King Dumac (her godfather), and took it, eventually leading to her courting and subsequently marrying Sotha Sil.

During the battle of red mountain, when the Dwemer disappeared, her soul already having been claimed by Lady Azura, went to be with her, however due to the corruption and magics of Mannimarco bargaining with Molag Bal, her soul+body got returned to mundus as the Vestige of the Ebonheart pact.

Upon waking up in Bleakrock Isle, she meets…

Azura/Ajura-Surani (Myself, not a vestige)

(For clarification, I genuinely feel unsure if I should refer to Azura as she/they like our proper pronouns, or say myself/I/Me bc I usually switch anyways. So apologies for the confusion if I use both or refer to myself as we/us!)

Alot of my lore is yet to be solidified so for now, what I can say!

I find Nchua in Bleakrock Isle, and she’s unable to remember much, so I offer to help her, which of course turns into a grand adventure as we then go on to travel around Tamriel, starting with ESO’s Main Questline.

Eventually, we get to the Dark heart of Skyrim timeline, where we meet Fennorian, which eventually I start courting him at some point as well🙂‍↕️
