Anyway. I don't feel like my love for the league of villians was ever wasted ya know? And neither was Tomura's love for them. I think that's important. That love was there. In spite of everything it persisted. It grew. It was something nobody not afo not bitchass deku, not even horikoshi could take from Tomura and I think I'm going to do the same. I fully endorse this. I have no intention of pretending Canon is come kind of bible when itās also written by people who are flawed and can make crazy choices. Just because they thought of a concept doesnāt mean they can execute it well or understand the emotional/moral themes that can tie in.
Any fictional work can be interpreted differently by audiences, or portrayed differently by someone else. Sometimes there are people who have lived through something a character is going through that the author may not have, and would understand the subject better.
Itās not just āwell this is how it is.ā Itās āthatās how it is from āTHATā persons perspective, but āI, think logically they should be have this way-ā
And I get it, sometimes thereās a character or series thatās pretty solid and you donāt want to mess with it, thatās fine. Superman is who he is because of his qualities- but even characters like Superman have had different writers and inconsistent portrayals. So I approach things from a comic point of view.
Which is along the lines of what Stan Lee said regarding people trying to power scale- which is whoever wins in a fight is pointless because whoever he wants to win, wins. Theyāre just throwing out comics and canon is all over the place depending on what youāre picking and choosing half the time. You do what you want with it.
Fiction is all about justification. If you can write your way around something it doesnāt matter worth a damn what someone else thinks would happen. And that includes the author. Yes, we know the original source material may be a particular way, no oneās gonna debate a series of events happened (~usually,) but that doesnāt mean the reasons,or methods, or emotions behind them, or the reality of the audience, or even the rationality of the writer arenāt questionable. And if I want to imagine a world where a character does something differently or something else happened to skew their path, then Iām going to do it.
I have seen a massive chunk of fanon works and thoughts that are just outright better than the source material, and honestly we should celebrate that fact and allow people to enjoy it to the fullest potential. Because we arenāt limited by budget, or time constraints, and we have a lot of resources to study and a lot of people to collaborate with to come up with ideas, and we are trying to make the series new and enjoyable in a way we and others might like or want to explore. And thatās a good thing.
The second you publish something itās not yours anymore, itās an idea anyone can interpret.

First season of FMA:B is actually unreasonably funny because every episode at the 2 minute mark Ed goes āremember Al we canāt let anyone know our bodies are metal and we committed human transmutation. Because the military will probably execute usā and then every episode at the 14 minute mark Ed is screaming at the top of his lungs about how he and Al are made of metal and committed human transmutation. And also the President of the Military is there smiling and nodding and not giving a fuck because Ed is the militaryās specialist little boy and heās expressly permitted to commit murder in the streets and do arson and treason and tax evasion if heās got enough hands for it and thatās completely fine because, as previously stated, heās their specialist little sacrifice boy.
And also the military already knows he committed human transmutation and they think thatās really really great. Itās their favorite Edward Elric fun fact.
