My name is Kavuma. I'm a queer Ugandan refugee currently living in South Sudan after fleeing persecution in Uganda because of my sexuality. Before coming here, I spent time in Kakuma refugee camp in Kenya, where survival was a daily struggle.

Since then, life has remained incredibly difficult. I've faced rejection, discrimination, and many days without enough food or support. I've shared my story with many people, but most of the time my messages go unanswered, leaving me feeling invisible.
