Why do you support child pornography?
I don’t understand your question. I don’t support “child pornography” and I’m pretty sure if you had actually used your eyeballs to take in the words that I said about that post, my position would be very clear!

Very Cool Behaviour by a Very Cool Kid
Hey Tumblr kids. It’s fine if you disagree with someone, but maybe, in-between posting all those “mental health awareness, uwu, friendly reminder that you are valid!” stuff, you take a minute to examine yourself. I bet you wrote this bullshit and then reblogged some rainbow pastel meme about mental health or something. Whoever you are, you’re a coward, and I wouldn’t wish your level of fakery, lack of compassion and ignorance on anyone.
Do you actually think sexual or pornographic images/videos of teenagers stay between teenagers? I’m sorry but some people deserve to have their intelligence questioned.
Teens are not going to stop taking and sharing pictures of themselves. What’s more important than trying to push the very old, very tired, very ineffectual “abstinence only” style arguments is actually looking at providing environments where it is more likely for them to be safe. More likely for them to be able to control who sees these pictures, and when. Rather than shaming teens for growing up, we should be looking for ways to help them stay safe as they explore themselves. Services like OnlyFans, which is what the initial spark for this conversation was about, allow a person to strictly moderate and control access to their content, and vet people. Is it a perfect solution? No, of course not. Is it better than trying to imply that a teenager ought to doubt themselves and feel awful for just being interested? I think so.
Y’all are so fucking dumb because you think a girl expressing her sexuality means she should sell her fucking body to the porn industry. Worms for brains
Cool, so someone thinks differently than you and you think the most appropriate response is to call them “Worms for Brains”? This isn’t a hard concept. People growing up have a need and desire to express their sexual identities and they deserve a place to do that. Gamifying things and exploring our sexuality through sex work can be fun. Not for everyone. We, as adults, obviously should not be privy to those same spaces, but if a teenager wants to share this with other teenagers and finds it empowering or even lucrative, I don’t get the problem, here. When I was a teenager, I wanted to get railed, and I wanted to share that with my peers. I can say now as a 31 year old woman that I knew EXACTLY what I was doing at 15 when I was taking racy pictures of myself to share up on social media. THIS IS NOT AN ARGUMENT FOR TEENAGERS SHARING STUFF LIKE THIS WITH ADULTS, OR FOR ALLOWING ADULTS INTO THOSE SPACES WITH TEENS. I certainly don’t want access to those spaces as I am not a teen. It’s an argument for the fact that someone who is 17 isn’t 3. Everyone experiences sexuality and levels of activity with it different ways. Maybe YOU were talked into it when you were young and if that’s the case, I’m very sorry for that obvious trauma, but not everybody was. Yes, I’m biologically female.
Do you think an atheist can also be a true therian? If someone doesn't literally believe they are non human but instead just feels their psychology is not normal for a human and therefore identify as part animal are they still a therian?
Yes, I absolutely think that atheists can be therian. I think the pet term the community uses is “Psychological Therian” as opposed to a Spiritual Therian. I don’t feel that spirituality is in any way a requirement for being a therian - For many I know, spirituality is not a component whatsoever, and to me that doesn’t take away anything from their validity. For me spirituality does play a part, but exactly how it does that is something I have yet to fully articulate. So if you’re a worried atheist thinking that folks won’t accept you just because you don’t take onboard any woo-woo for yourself - don’t be. Anyone who rejects you on that basis is not someone you need to be associating with and spending time on anyway.

Moving away for a job soon. My new apartment is above ground level and has windows and a balcony type thing, it appeals to my needs to be up high. When looking for furniture I did investigate loft beds, but none of the loft beds were doubles, and I can’t be bothered sleeping on a single bed. Too small. If I’m going to be alone most nights then I still want the room to roll around!
Note to Millennials from GenX:
So you know those news stories about how Millennials don’t buy enough breakfast cereal or paperback books or homes or whatever the hell that Boomers are complaining that “kids these days” don’t spend money on? And y’all are like “LOL, no cash my pal”?
I think there’s something more insidious going on. You see, they thought they had you. Forget the Saturday morning cartoons of my childhood, they had Disney Channel and Nickelodeon feeding you ads all day long. Your generation got advertising in your schools. Your parents took you to prosperity doctrine spewing MegaChurches (it’s Mega so it’s gotta impress the kids, right?).
They thought you were going to be their generation of super-consumers.
You are generations distant from the great depression, and the 1979 energy crisis. Boomers want to pretend that the 2008 housing bubble wouldn’t affect the little kids. And plus, we had grown past the era of Yankee thrift and hippie DIY frugality. Right? And there was no mopey Kurt Cobain glamorizing thrift-store flannel shirts. You guys were going to out-consume the Boomer generation. They were sure of it.
Those think pieces? They’re Boomer disappointment that you have found value in something other than your place as a mindless consumer.
And yeah, I’m not going to pretend that y’all have more cash than you do. It was fucking idiotic to think they were going to raise a consumer generation without having to pay them the money they would need to buy even life’s necessities. And I could write a book about how my generation was complicit in destroying the old values around work and loyalty that left your generation screwed. Really, I’m genuinely sorry for the mistakes we made.
But you guys have given a big middle finger to the generation who thought that they could manipulate you from birth into manipulable-money-spending-machines. And I’m way fucking proud of you for that.
An interesting take. Personally, I was born in 1988 and so when I was growing up and being taught for the first time about government in the early to mid 90′s, the Western world was hot off the heels of the Cold War and everyone was certain that capitalism was the actual greatest thing ever that was going to give us all immensely comfortable lives. It was drilled into us that “all you have to do is try” because capitalism would make it all work for us if we only “believed in ourselves.”
We then grew up to see all the systems that were put in place to help us ascend begin to be dismantled, one by one, before we were old enough to make use of them. By the time we got there they had been cut back, taken apart, replaced with nothing altogether or perhaps even worse, ineffectual, labyrinthine nonsense designed to discourage us from trying to get the help. Seriously, have you ever tried to apply for disability or even just unemployment? Heaven help you, because the DWP won’t. In fact, they won’t help you to such a degree that you might be found dead in your apartment, unable to feed yourself or keep the fridge running that kept your lifesaving insulin cool, and a pile of CVs next to your body. Not kidding. Real thing. Guy’s name was David Chapman and he is not alone.
The scales fell from all our eyes long ago, as we were children, and as we watched the shining futures we were promised grow tarnished and rusted before we could even grasp them, we grew angry. Immeasurably angry. As we listened to the Gen Xers denounce us as “lazy” for not buying houses and diamonds, whilst simultaneously tearing us apart for not taking vacations and creating a workaholic precedence in the workplace, we grew incensed, but also tired. Still they refuse to pay us a living wage, still they cite shareholders over living people, and still they sit upon their mountains of gold whilst we can only dream of owning a house.
It’s not because we don’t want to buy useless shit. We do. We buy designer sneakers and handbags and iPhones, the neurotypicals buy enough boxes of fidget spinners to get them banned. It’s just the big stuff in life, the engagement rings, the apartments, the new cars, hell even the rent half the time is out of reach and we’re all grasping for something to fill the hole inside of us that’s been left by the acrid ache of the dead dream. The dead dream of owning a home, of not having to work multiple jobs, of having time to improve ourselves and just not feel stressed for one waking second.
We are super-consumers, we were successfully conditioned into thinking retail therapy was an actual thing. It’s just the tiny stuff because that’s all we can get.
A new videoseries talking and reacting to and about feminism. The first episode is about porn so make sure your headphones are on. It’s not graphic but it isn’t quite what I’d call Safe For Work, either!

Aesthetic Pages and Stuff
It bothers me that what once started as spiritually identifying as an animal has become nothing more than buying and selling products. It has become about consumerism, fashion, trendiness, and wanting stuff instead of looking deeper into ourselves. But that’s the evil beast of consumerism. Your next purchase will fulfill your life, for a short amount of time, until you feel dead and empty inside again and you need to purchase the next thing to validate who and what you are for a little while. It’s sickening.
Normal people buy and wear this stuff too. There is nothing special about most of the clothing, jewelry, and accessories that I see in these posts. Those items are just products. They are things. And a lot of them cost a lot of money. Money you should probably be saving for your future. If you’re asking your parents or family members to buy this shit for you, please stop. Your parents and family are probably sacrificing enough. Stop and think about that before being a selfish, self-centered brat. Most of you aren’t adults. You don’t know how hard life really is. Don’t stress your parents out wanting tails and ears, and candles, and stuff you see in these aesthetic posts.
Some people might argue that these items are comforting and help them feel connected to their wereside/theriotype/kintype. For how long? Read the first paragraph again. That comfort and connection is temporary. You need a genuine relationship and connection with your inner self instead of thinking some knickknack or clothing is going to do it for you. Go ahead and buy that stuff, but be aware that it might not have lasting meaning to you. But you are going to be living with yourself for the rest of your life.
Essentially, I don't agree with this statement eve though I get the sentiment behind it. I understand and have sympathy for the desire to see therianthropy as a pure thing to be discussed intellectually and even as an escape from the parts of our lives touched by things we don't like, for example, capitalism. It can be a frustrating, sobering reminder that our lives lack a truly safe space in which to get away from this stuff because it really has touched our innermost parts. We exist as a whole being at all times, as do others, and we cannot dictate how others experience that.
A lot of this comes off as judgmental in a way that I personally find very unpleasant. So what if someone gets some clothes that remind them of their kinselves? Especially if those who are adults, and are cognisant of all the meanings behind it, choose to participate?
In the kindest way, it is not your or anyone's place to dictate to someone what to purchase or not especially as it regards therianthropy, something we can all agree is very personal.
Bonobo (Film)
So this evening myself and @loploplopori sat down and watched Bonobo, a 2014 indie film about a mother whose daughter is involved in a sort of cult-esque commune, based (ostensibly) around the bonobo social structure and conflict resolution. The character Anita who heads the commune is a primatologist and therapist.
Both of us found this very funny,as there are more than one indications that this character only partly understands the ape she purportedly specialises in. One particularly funny example is how at one point characters put on “bonobo sounds” to “relax” and they are actually gibbon calls mixed with – we think – people yelling “Waaah!” It’s not played as a joke.
The film is very earnest and is carried by some very strong acting. Perhaps it is a point of the film that this Anita person has only a half baked understanding of the social order she is trying to replicate; of course the cracks show through and there’s all a lot of growth and don’t we all feel like we learned something, etc.
It may sound as if I didn’t like the film, I actually did, but I was slightly annoyed at how bonobo society is portrayed. Instead of explaining that it isn’t all about the sex, the assertion is made that it is all about the sex but this doesn’t work for humans. It left me a little cold in that respect but the rest of the film is a very good slice of life type adventure that throws in a few twists. If you’re willing to roll your eyes a little (and prepare for a very gentle treatment of a character who is shown to have done a very bad thing) then give this one a view.

ATTN: Wolf-kin & Wolf-Hearted
And just anyone, really... If you don’t already know about MyNoise, it’s a site where you can really place yourself in a nature soundscape. Or even digital, if that’s your bag. Fully customisable natural background noise generators ranging from crackling fire, rain, underwater, thunder, creeks, walking in snow, if you can think of it they probably have it. My personal favourites include the rain, jungle life, and tropical birds generators all combined to make a truly lovely experience that for many reasons helps relax me greatly! The guy who runs it is absolutely amazing and I can’t describe to you how much it helps my concentration and anxiety. It might help your dysphorias too if you feel them!
ANYWAYS, the guy wants to go and do a recording session in the arctic circle, and get the sounds of falling snow, alpines, arctic winds... And wolves. What a beautiful idea. I contributed. Can’t wait! If you think immersing yourself in a natural soundscape specifically tailored exactly to how you hear and what you want to hear sounds nice, then have a go and throw him some bones if you can.
