john mitchell is one of my favourite characters of all time because he’s genuinely just, addicted to murder. he’s addicted to the power and sensation that killing and drinking blood gives him, but he’s just decent enough to try to stop. there’s no separate bad version of him, the vampire isn’t in control, it’s just him. he’s a killer, he’s a good man, he’s both, he’s neither. and the show doesn’t forgive him implicitly for his actions, he has to face the consequences of his actions, even if sometimes he watches tv and washes the dishes and is good friend.

a killer is still a killer on the days he feels guilty, a bomb is still a bomb before the timer has been turned on.

While working on some parent and merc art I had thoughts on whether or not to include headcanon parents for those who don't have any. And on that train of thought I realized that in the decade of me being into tf2 I don't think I've ever seen fic, art, or hc in which Medic had parents that he liked or got along with lol And I decided to be different in the most unhinged way possible and just go... "yeah he has two dads, yeah they're both weird scientists, yeah he's a test tube haunted slime baby, yeah his parents are Egon Spengler and Hebert West - the two pop culture icons he's heavily based off of" This is incredibly indulgent to nobody else but me lol - but now it's out there - and now this explains my personal hc that the medigun beam works like the proton stream in ghost busters, it locks into your soul

My reani hot take is that I think Meg was really interested in the medical field and was probably studying hospital administration or something, but WOULD have been getting her degree in clinical lab science had her father not been so overbearing. You CANNOT tell me that she doesn't have at least a little mad science running through her, I firmly believe Dan has one type and one type only- and that is someone willing to pursue their passion despite the danger (including Francesca, a journalist he met in an active war zone)

YESSSS I totally agree!!! I've never noticed if they actually say what Meg is studying when she has her study date with Dan, but she's always been pre-med in my headcanon. She's smart as fuck, Dan has a type 🤷‍♀️
