Whenever Aaron walked the hospital grounds, he couldn’t help but feel a sense of dizziness. It wasn’t even the fact that it was a hospital, but rather that he knew Jada was somewhere within a five mile radius. Knowing that he could bump into her at any moment made him extremely nervous. In sight of her, he meet her with a goofy grin, following her as she led him to the food court. It seemed he caught her at the right moment. He didn’t get the chance to say anything in between but once they got to the food court, he shifted awkwardly. He realised he didn’t want her to know he purely came there with the intention of seeing her. Thinking fast, he came up with the first excuse that came to his mind. “Oh..I- you left your hair tie.. But clearly you have others.” He said, motioning towards her pony tail.  

Jada felt like she had always had a crush on the other boy, even when they were growing up. Aaron was handsome, and despite the awkward teenage years they endured, they went through the times together, making the adventure that much easier. However, with the changes in hormones, Jada became more interested in the people around her and their appearances. Aaron was no different. Small things he would do made her feel giddy and happy. They made their way to the food court and she sat down at a table, trying to decide what she wanted. “My hair tie? O-Oh, well, thank you.” A soft blush came over her cheeks and she reached for it, slipping it onto her wrist. Then, however, she pulled it back off, holding it out to him. “Just keep it. I’m sure I’ll need one sooner or later a-and you would have one f-for me.”

“Oh, hi. I was just actually about to go on break,” Jada smiled shyly, tucking a stray hair that had fallen from her ponytail. Aaron managed to find her in the huge hospital, and as soon as she had seen him, she lost her focus, nearly tripping over a cart. She motioned for him to follow her, heading to the elevator to head down with him to their small food court available. “What brings you here? You’re feeling alright, aren’t you?”
