Warnings: None really, Sam is just protective
---
You, Sam, Dean, and Cas all sat in a diner near the motel you were staying at during your upcoming hunt. Sam was typing away at his laptop, not stopping his research on this particularly hard case for a moment. Dean and Cas chattered to each other off and on while Dean practically made love with a huge greasy burger, and you sat and watched people walking by outside of the window. People watching was something you did often when Sam was busy. You usually didn’t get along too well with Dean, so people watching kept you thoroughly entertained for the time being. Conversation between you and Dean wasn’t worth the struggle and inevitable disagreement, and trying to talk to Cas with Dean near him was like trying to get a puppy to listen while someone else was dangling a treat in front of them.
“You okay?”
Sam asked in almost a whisper. You jolted out of your thoughts, bringing your focus to Sam. You had strained your neck and left shoulder pretty badly fighting off a vampire during your last hunt and Sam kept continuously checking to make sure you were really okay.
Your heart always jumped at the sight of him. His wide hazel eyes were warm and filled with love and concern.
“Yes, I was just watching people walk by.”
You responded quickly. Placing a hand on top of his, you smiled as he took it and gave it a soft squeeze before letting go.
Years ago, Sam had found you half-dead in a witch’s house. He and Dean hadn’t thought twice about saving you. Sam had nursed you back to health himself, and being a stereotypical romantic story of the two of you coming together, you fell in love with him fast and hard. It was almost amusing how surprised and slightly offended Dean had been when you didn’t swoon over his cheesy pickup lines and signature smile once you were up and hunting with them. Your attention was always drawn back to Sam, even in the middle of conversations with Dean. Sam was so soft with you, often reassuring you that you were the only girl he had eyes for, but his mood would quickly change the moment any man tried to take you home. A very protective side of him came out, and they were met with glares and sharp replies as Sam practically carried you away from them.
“What do ya’ say we go to a bar tonight?” Dean asked abruptly. Apparently, his and Castiel’s conversation had ended, and he glanced eagerly between you and Sam, practically begging you to say yes with his eyes.
“Why?”
You asked, genuinely confused as to why Dean was inviting you anywhere when the both of you said no more than often.
“Come on sweetheart, you both need some loosening up. Maybe you won’t be so uptight if we get a few drinks in you.”
You glared at Dean for a moment. Dean seemed to love throwing that word around, especially because he knew how much it got on your nerves.
“I’m not uptight.”
You replied before taking a sip of your drink.
“Then come to the bar with me tonight.”
Dean challenged with a smirk. You took in a deep breath, trying to keep your language in check in such a public environment, but your response was cut short when Sam slammed his laptop shut.
“First of all, Dean, don’t call her sweetheart. Second of all, she doesn’t have to prove anything to you by going to a sleazy bar just to get hit on by every man in the damn place.”
You held back a laugh, simply taking another drink of your coffee.
“How about we make her wear a big flashing sign that says ‘Property of Sam Winchester.”
Dean said, shaking his head at his brother.
“Dean.” You said sternly before Sam could reply. You could see genuine anger igniting in his eyes. “I’ll- Sam and I will both go tonight if it will shut you up for once.”
Dean gave you a delighted smile, then quickly got up from the table.
“Oh, you are not ready for a night out with me, toots. I’ll get your sign ready.”
You heard Sam huff angrily as Dean left with Cas following awkwardly behind.
“Look, I know you don’t like bars that much, but this will shut him up for at least a little while. Plus we’ll be there together, so it’s not like anything bad will happen.”
Sam hummed, acknowledging that he had heard you but still wasn’t very happy about going to the bar.
“Come on, baby,” you sighed, getting up and kissing him softly on the cheek, “it might be fun, you know?”
Sam looked at you, his expression softening before he gently kissed you back. He shook his head with a slight chuckle and got up from the table, getting ready to head back to the hotel with you.
“I just hate how people talk to you when we go out. It makes me uncomfortable, so I can’t even begin to imagine how you feel…” He trailed off, eyeing you for a moment before letting in, “Being around you is always fun, though.”
You quickly replied,
“You’re damn right it is.”
----
You had changed into a y/f/c dress that fit you in all the right places, and you stood checking your appearance in the mirror when Sam walked in.
“Hey, beautiful.”
He greeted you with a smile. You grinned back at him, laughing as he took your hand and slowly spun you in a circle, leading you with the arm that wouldn’t hurt your shoulder. He pulled you back into his arms and peppered your face with kisses, making you melt into a fit of laughter, your heart filled to the brim with love for him.
“Well hey there, handsome.”
You purred, returning his kisses softly.
The sweet moment between the two of you was interrupted by the abrupt appearance of Castiel.
“Sam, Dean sent me to tell you…” he cleared his throat, saying the next few words in a questionable impression of Dean’s voice, “hurry the hell up lovebirds.”
You laughed lightly, responding lightheartedly,
“Thanks, Cas. Next time can you just knock before you come in though?”
Castiel looked to you and glanced back toward the hotel room door.
“Oh. Yes… Sorry.” He paused for a moment, watching silently as Sam walked toward the bedside table to grab his phone, then looking back to you. You watched his eyes trail down your figure for a moment, then reconnecting your gaze.
“That dress is very beautiful on you, Y/n. I’m sure you will get a lot of free drinks tonight.”
He said. You laughed, thinking back to when Dean had explained the free drinks that kept appearing before you the last time you all had gone to a bar.
“Thank you Castiel, that’s very sweet of you to say.”
You replied, holding back further laughter at the compliment. Cas nodded, closing the awkward distance between the two of you so you weren’t talking across the room.
“I could also ease your pain if you would like.”
Cas said, smiling softly.
“Oh, you don’t have to do that, Cas. It’s just a little bit of a sprain or something, I’m fine though.”
Cas tilted his head at you, expressing his doubt clearly before stating.
“Y/n, you have obviously been avoiding using your left arm, and you can barely turn your head. Healing you would be more of a convenience than a hindrance to me. You can’t defend yourself in this state.”
You frowned, knowing he was right, and nodded slightly, flinching at the pain that stabbed at your neck when you did.
Castiel softly placed two fingers on your forehead. You closed your eyes, sighing in relief as the pain nagging at you washed away easily.
“Is that better?”
He asked, moving his hand to gently press at the muscles in your neck.
“Yes, thank you so much, Cas. You really didn’t need to use any energy on me, though.”
Cas chuckled, smiling in amusement.
“Y/n, that isn’t necessarily how healing works, but either way, you are welcome.”
You smiled at him, nodding.
“You think her shoulder is fine, Cas? Or do you wanna keep rubbing it?”
Sam’s voice interjected sarcastically. Cas’s hand shot away from your shoulder and he looked to Sam quickly.
“I’m sorry if I offended you, Sam.”
He said without hesitation.
You laughed, shaking your head at Sam.
“Cas please go tell Dean we’ll be right there.”
You said softly, gesturing to the neighboring room. Cas nodded, disappearing a short short moment later.
“Sam, I’m pretty sure Cas means no harm. You don’t have to get so protective with him and Dean.”
Sam let out a small cynical laugh.
“Y/n, I know my brother. He wouldn’t help you cheat, but I know how he thinks and how he looks at you when he thinks I’m not looking. I absolutely need to be protective of you with him.”
Sam said quickly. You raised an eyebrow at him.
“Okay fine, but Cas?”
Sam frowned, avoiding eye contact for a moment.
“Okay maybe it was a little unnecessary. I’m sorry, I just love you and it sounds stupid but I’m always scared someone’s going to steal you from me, or worse, hurt you when I’m not around to protect you.”
You smiled softly at him,
“Sam, I’ve been beaten and bruised and scratched and bitten by every huge, ugly, smelly, disgusting, and outright dreadful monster you could imagine. Do you think I couldn’t handle some run of the mill horny asshole? Do you really think any man could steal me away? I’m in love with you, Sam. There’s no need to worry about me.”
Sam walked toward you, giving you a soft kiss.
“I don’t know what I did to deserve you.”
He said with a soft sigh, pulling you into his arms.
“You saved my life.”
You replied softly, leaning your head against his chest. Sam held you tighter, kissing the top of your head.
part 2 to Cold Eyes? loved that fic and it was soooo well written
Yes, I can start working on that soon! I’m currently just catching up on a lot of college work so they’re going to take a little while, I apologize for the wait in advance. <3
Of course! I’ll write it as soon as possible. I’m currently in the process of writing out my last request, so it might take a moment. However, it will he out as soon as I can make time for it, anon. :)
Summary/Request: “I don't know if you write for Harry Potter, but can you do a fic about Draco Malfoy if you do? It doesn't have to be anything specific, I just love your writing!” - Reader smells Draco in the Amortentia potion without realizing it’s him.
Warnings: Light cursing
You were exhausted from staying up all night writing an essay for charms class over simple things your father had taught you ages before you had started your sixth year at Hogwarts. You couldn’t say that you were extremely talented in every subject you took at the great school of witchcraft and wizardry, but charms came naturally to you. Your mother was an outstanding Auror, and your father also worked for the Ministry of Magic. You were never fully informed on what exactly he did. His job was clearly out of the ordinary, as he never spoke about it. He was always out at odd hours for work, but you never questioned it. You were just happy that they both came home safe every night.
You couldn’t say that your family was thrilled when they found out you were a Slytherin. The family came from a long line of Ravenclaws on your father’s side and Gryffindors on your mother’s side. They were baffled as to how you found yourself placed among Slytherins. Nevertheless, they were proud of you and how hard you were working toward being one of the top students of your class,
“Another reason I believe you should have been placed in Ravenclaw! Perhaps you could consult with the headmaster about the matter, Y/N?”
Your mother had said once. You rolled your eyes at her all those years ago and simply replied,
“The sorting hat never makes mistakes, mama. You know that. Being a Slytherin may not have been what you wanted or expected, but it is my destiny.”
You withdrew yourself from the memory as you tuned back into your friends chattering away about the latest gossip among the school. Some people you had never heard of were getting back together for the third time this year. It was impressive how often a couple could split and get back together in the span of a few months.
“Y/n, do you fancy anyone?”
Your friend Danny asked, knocking his shoulder together with yours and raising an eyebrow in curiosity. You rolled your eyes and slapped him on the arm lightly with a book you were carrying.
“You know I don’t have time for a relationship, Danny.”
Danny gave a long drawn out sigh and motioned to a girl in blue and bronze robes passing by.
“Honestly, you should’ve been holed up with those stuffy Ravenclaws.”
You shot him an annoyed glance and replied.
“Ravenclaws are not stuffy, Daniel. They value intelligence, I can’t imagine why you weren’t placed there.”
Danny snorted out a laugh,
“There it is! Every time I annoy you, I’m reminded why you were put in Slytherin. It’s the wicked sarcasm alone, I think.”
Another one of your friends chimed in,
“Have you seen her magic in action, Danny? It's the power, not the sarcasm. Salazar Slytherin valued powerful, cunning students with pure blood, and the only family with more pure blood than hers is the Malfoys.”
You didn’t comment, a part of you flattered by your friend's compliment toward your powerful magic. However, the prejudice toward purebloods among the Slytherin house still put you off a bit. Your mind wandered to the Malfoy family after a moment. They truly were a powerful and well-known family, but you knew from your mother’s mixture of anger and disgust when talking about Lucious Malfoy, they were not well known for good reasons. A chill ran up your spine when you thought back to the first and only time you had seen Lucious Malfoy in person.
He towered over you, his eyes practically piercing into your soul when you accidentally bumped into him on Diagon Alley while buying supplies for your first year. Your mother had pulled you away from him as if he was infected with a highly contagious disease, and practically shoved you behind her. She had spoken to him for a moment, her voice friendly to anyone else’s ears, but you knew your mother. You heard how uncomfortable she truly was.
That was the extent of your interactions with the Malfoy family. Your mother had drilled it into your head that you were not to step foot near Draco Malfoy, let alone speak to him. She was terrified of what might come if you befriended, or worse, annoyed the young Malfoy. You had agreed, as if Draco would ever speak to you in the first place. He was far too concerned with himself and harassing Harry Potter for that.
The only thing that made avoiding Draco difficult at this point was not only that you were in Slytherin with him, but you also had almost the same schedule. Speaking of which, you realized you had passed your potions class, and quickly shouted a farewell to your friends as you doubled back and made your way into the room.
You gathered with the rest of the Slytherins. The class stood in front of a table that had four cauldrons upon it. One of the two you could smell from where you stood, and you found it almost intoxicating. Your eyes glazed over as you stared intently at the cauldron, and you were only brought out of your hazy thoughts of how exquisite it smelled when two boys entered the room. Harry Potter and his best friend, Ron Weasly. You scoffed quietly, annoyed that he could just waltz into class late and he seldom got any sort of repercussion for it. The one time you were late to Transfiguration Professor McGonagall made you write an essay on why punctuation is important for a witch or wizard to practice.
You glared at the two fighting over the last clean looking copy of the textbook and glanced to your right, feeling someone’s eyes on you. Your glare dropped immediately and was replaced by surprise and confusion at finding Draco Malfoy eyeing you with a small smirk. You felt a small blush spread across your cheeks. You had never fully looked at Draco before. His eyes were stone grey with flecks of blue toward his pupil, and his features were delicate yet sharp at the same time. But damn you had to admit he looked good in green. You found that you had been staring at him far too long, and abruptly looked away, turning back to Hermoine Granger. She stood in front of the cauldron you had been staring at earlier.
“It’s rumored to smell differently to each person according to what attracts them. For example, I smell freshly mowed grass and parchment, and spearmint toothpaste.”
She said before you were distracted once more. You felt as though he was watching you still. You couldn’t help but give in to your curiosity and steal another glance at Draco. His gaze had not shifted from you, and you felt another wave of heat across your cheeks. You weren’t used to catching the interest of any boy around Hogwarts, let alone the one boy you weren’t supposed to interact with whatsoever.
“Miss Y/l/n?”
You looked back to Professor Slughorn, he looked to you expectantly with an amused smile. Clearly you hadn’t been paying attention, and you felt your cheeks burn even hotter and you replied without hesitation.
“I’m sorry Professor, I was distracted. Could you repeat the question for me?”
Slughorn chuckled and stated,
“I was asking if you would like a turn in smelling the Amortentia potion? I saw that you were particularly transfixed with it earlier.”
You knew that if your cheeks could blush harder, they would. Making your way toward the potion, you tried your best to focus on speaking clearly as the scent practically grabbed a hold of you and begged you to taste the potion.
“I smell-” you paused for a moment, trying to figure out what had intoxicated your senses, “pomade, mint, apples, and...”
You trailed off, there was one more scent, but you couldn't pinpoint what it was.
“Yes, pomade, mint, and apples.”
You finished awkwardly. Slughorn smiled knowingly toward you, and gestured for you to return to where you had been standing earlier. You stalked back to your spot, refusing to let your embarrassment show in front of the class.
Professor Slughorn continued on about Amortentia for a moment, then introduced how the student with the best brewed potion that day would receive a vial of liquid luck. You rolled your eyes, knowing for a fact that you would not be receiving the vial. Potions weren't necessarily difficult for you, but they were by far not your strongest point.
You ended up being right, of course. Though, to your surprise and slight annoyance, it was Harry Potter who received the Liquid Luck. You couldn’t deny that you were jealous, yet couldn't help a heavy eye-roll when he tried to take it from Slughorn’s grasp before he was done speaking. You reluctantly clapped along with the rest of the students after Harry was instructed to use his potion well, but your facial expression showed exactly how you felt. You appreciated all that Harry had done, and what he had been through, but what would he of all people need liquid luck for? He always seemed to manage fairly well without it.
You gathered your books and made your way out of the potions classroom, toward charms class. Breath caught in your throat as you were abruptly tugged into an empty corridor. Turning, and drawing your wand in defense, you were more than surprised to lock eyes with Draco Malfoy once more. You weren’t sure what to say in such an instance, as you never dreamed you’d be alone with him, let alone by Draco’s choice.
“Well, hello then.”
You said. Draco eyed you carefully, his expression neutral as he introduced himself.
“I’m Draco. Draco Malfoy.”
You nodded in response, surprised once more by the fact he assumed anyone in the school didn’t know his name by now.
“Yes, and I’m-”
Draco cut you off,
“Y/n Y/l/n. I know.”
You nodded once more, not entirely sure where to go from there. He was the one pulling you into empty corridors after all.
“Did you need something, Draco?”
Draco didn’t respond for a moment. He just stood silently, staring at you. His skin was practically flawless. It reminded you of a porcelain doll.
“I realized we’ve never spoken before. We’ve been in the same house for six years, and we’ve yet to have a conversation.”
You couldn’t help but feel confused once more.
“Well, not to be rude, but it doesn’t seem that you talk to many people in general, aside from your… usual group.”
Draco quickly replied.
“You don’t either.”
You smiled,
“What, have you been watching me, Draco?”
Draco raised an eyebrow, a smirk tugging at his lips.
“It's a good habit to observe those around you, Y/n.”
You laughed lightly.
“Well, then I’ll keep that excuse in mind next time I feel like staring at someone in class for a prolonged period of time.” you paused, noting how Draco’s eyes widened ever so slightly. “Speaking of which, I have a class to get you.”
You said, taking your leave from the corridor. Glancing back as you rounded the corner, you found that Draco was indeed still ‘observing’ you. Your thoughts raced as you jogged to charms class. You just couldn’t wrap your head around why Draco chose such an odd way to start conversation with you for the first time. Then your thoughts wandered to your mother, and guilt stabbed at your gut. To be fair, Draco had talked to you first, and realistically he had pulled you into a corridor without your prior knowledge. So, you hadn’t necessarily gone against her wishes. You had to admit you didn’t mind the short conversation with him, though. Draco seemed interesting.
-----
The next few days were seemingly normal, aside from noticing Draco observing you more and more often. He was bold as well, and didn’t bother to look away most of the times you caught him. He was starting to become a true distraction to you. Of course, you couldn’t deny how attractive you found him.
You were making your way to the great hall for dinner, listening to Danny chatter away about the latest quidditch games and news regarding the Ministry. Almost all of your friends were seated by the time you found your way to the Slytherin table. Confusion and annoyance practically slapped you in the face when you found the spot you always sat in was occupied by a first year.
“Not to be rude, but I’ve sat in this spot since my first year. So, if you wouldn’t mind moving, I would really appreciate it.”
The first year turned to you slowly, and you wholeheartedly expected a sarcastic remark, but instead he said meekly,
“I have to sit here.”
You raised an eyebrow,
“Have to?”
You questioned. The boy nodded fervently, his eyes darting behind you. From the look in his eyes, you didn’t have to turn around to know who stood there.
“Why don’t you sit with me, Y/n? It seems every other spot is taken.”
Your suspicions were confirmed at the sound of Draco Malfoy’s voice. Turning, you stared at him in disbelief.
“Did you harass this poor kid into sitting in my spot, Malfoy?”
Draco glanced to the boy, then back to you, a smirk creeping across his lips.
“What makes you think I would do such a thing?”
He said, eyeing you in amusement. You smirked back to him playfully.
“I suppose I’m not that hungry either way. I think I’ll just make my way back to the common room to study.”
Draco’s grin vanished, his eyes narrowing as you winked at him and stalked away.
Minutes later, you found yourself sitting in the Slytherin common room, staring out the window into the lake. You watched calmly as creatures of all kinds swam past, finding their fluid movements in the water soothing. The Slytherin common room was freezing as per usual, but you neglected to grab a sweater, instead opting to continue to watch the wildlife through the window. Your attention was drawn away from the lake when you heard another person entering the common room.
“You’re not studying at all.”
You turned to Draco as he made his way next to you, then went back to watching the lake. You shrugged, smiling lightly.
“Are you cold?”
He asked, in almost a whisper. You looked back at him slowly, nodding your head in affirmation.
“It’s always cold in here.”
You sighed, once again turning to the lake. Draco didn’t respond, but moments later, a sweater was set down in your lap.
“That should help.”
He said. You looked at him in shock. You would’ve never expected Draco to be the type to lend out his sweater.
As you put the sweater on warmth engulfed you, but that wasn’t your main concern. What threw you for a loop was how the sweater smelled. It smelled of mint, pomade, apples and cologne. Your mind started racing. There was no way you had been smelling Draco’s cologne in the Amortentia potion.
“Sorry, I suppose I’m just not feeling well.”
You whispered. Promptly standing, you walked quickly to your dormitory and sat on your bed. You spent hours convincing yourself that somehow you were wrong about what you had smelled in the Amortentia potion. However, the sweater that engulfed you in warmth and that same scent was telling you otherwise.
---
Just to your luck, in potions the next day, you had the opportunity to test your theory. Slughorn had brought the Amortentia potion back out for whatever reason. You were too anxious to pay attention to his explanation. He gave each student the opportunity to smell the potion if they’d like to test what scents attracted them. When it came to you, the scent had changed, however, not in a way you expected. The smell of Draco’s cologne was overpowering.
You couldn’t tell whether you were delighted or terrified. Just imagining your mother's face if she found out Draco Malfoy was the first boy you ever had a crush on was enough to make you feel overwhelming guilt. However, when you saw Draco making his way toward the potion to smell it, you couldn’t stop yourself from hoping he would smell you too.
Shaking your head in annoyance at yourself, you looked down to the recipe for the potion you were supposed to be making that day. It seemed easy enough, but knowing yourself, you expected it to blow up in your face at any minute throughout the process. You tensed when you saw Draco walk past in your peripheral vision. Hope was still rearing its little head at the thought of what he might’ve smelled in the Amortentia potion, but you couldn’t let yourself be so distracted by him all the time. You would never get anything done.
Much to your surprise and elation, your potion came out perfectly. Slughorn praised you, as it truly was a rarity your potions came out decent, let alone perfectly. You glanced behind yourself, finding Draco staring at you with a look you had never seen him show before. Quickly turning around, your thoughts raced as to what he might’ve been thinking. You weren’t surprised to hear Slughorn praising a perfect potion from Draco moments later.
The minute class was let out, you practically sprinted out of potions. You had to find Danny and tell him everything. You raced to the Slytherin common room, searching for Danny anywhere within it. He clearly wasn’t in his usual spot, so you went to check his dormitory. When he didn’t answer the door, you sighed in annoyance and defeat. You couldn’t bother running around the entirety of Hogwarts looking for him, so you opted to wait for Dinner.
Making your way back to your own dormitory, you sighed once more, wondering how you should even address such a situation. You knew your mother would insist that you just stay a million miles away from the boy and let the feelings fade, but you knew deep down that you couldn’t force yourself to do so. Nevertheless, Draco was in all of your classes, and he was persistent. If he wanted to talk to you, or see you, there was no avoiding him.
----
You skipped the rest of your classes for the day, knowing it wouldn’t affect your scores too badly, and sat in your dormitory waiting for dinner to roll around. Draco’s sweater sat next to you on your bed, and you stared at it for what must’ve been hours. You never in a million years would have imagined that your thoughts and days would be so taken up by Draco Malfoy of all people. The single person your parents adamantly told you to stay away from. The pure irony of the situation would’ve made you laugh if you didn’t feel so guilty and confused.
When dinner finally came, you went to leave your dormitory, only to almost immediately slam the door again. Draco was leaning against the wall outside of your room, clearly waiting for you. Fuck. You were right, after all. If he wanted to see you or talk to you, he made sure there was absolutely no way to avoid him.
After a moment of you dumbly standing there, holding the handle, there was a firm knock at the door. You leaned your forehead against the hardwood, not knowing what would come from you opening the door. Your mind was practically tearing itself to shreds, battling whether you should ignore him and act like none of this happened, or tempt fate and open the door for the platinum haired boy.
“Y/n, you can’t just pretend you’re not in there!”
Draco called through the door. You cringed, still battling yourself on whether you should open the door or not.
“You’re not even supposed to be in the girls dormitories, Draco!”
You called back.
You heard a muffled laugh through the door.
“All the more reason for you to open the door before I get caught.”
You whispered a silent apology to your mother, and opened the door.
Draco’s grey eyes bore into yours, and he didn’t hesitate to walk into your room, closing the door swiftly behind him. Your cheeks felt like they were on fire as he turned to you. With every step he took toward you, you took a step backward. Finally the back of your knees hit the edge of your bed and gave out from under you. You sat, staring at Draco as he made his way closer. His signature smirk made your blush burn even brighter.
Your heart was racing faster than it ever had as he leaned over you, forcing you to lay back slightly.
“Tell me, Y/n. What was it that you smelled in the Amortentia potion?”
You knew you couldn't hide how flustered you were as Draco asked you the one question you had hoped to avoid. You looked anywhere but him, still conflicted with yourself.
You had to hold in a shaky breath when Draco grabbed your chin, purring,
“Look at me.”
You looked at him with wide eyes.
“Now tell me, what did you smell in the potion, Y/n?”
Your voice was barely above a whisper as you responded.
“You.”
Draco smiled fully for the first time as far as you had ever seen. Soon his lips were pressed firmly against yours. He tasted partially of how smelled, like peppermint and green apples. As he pulled away slightly, you let out a shaky sigh, and felt his breath fan across your face.
“Is it too bold of me to assume what you might’ve smelled in the potion, then?”
You asked in a whisper. Draco chuckled, shifting slightly to grab something behind you. His icy eyes analyzed you for a few more moments before he pulled you into a softer, shorter kiss. You leaned forward, bringing one hand to his hair, running your fingers through it. You had wanted to do that for days now. Draco’s lips quirked up, smiling against yours.
When he pulled away, the sight of him nearly made you choke. His hair was ruffled in a way you found so deliciously attractive, and his lips slightly swollen from the kisses you had shared.
“I don’t have a clue what you’re talking about, Y/n. I just wanted my sweater back.”
He lied easily. Bringing it to his nose, he inhaled softly, then continued.
“Your perfume is quite potent, though.”
He winked at you, making your heart flutter, then took his exit.
You didn’t care what your parents would think. There was no way you could stay away from Draco Malfoy.

Warnings: Mentions of grandmother’s d*ath, cussing, blasphemy (taking the lords name in vain), mocking of reader by Dean.
Peeling your eyes open, you let out a soft yawn and rolled yourself out of bed. You didn’t bother to make your bed back up before heading straight to the shower. Letting warm water cascade down your bare skin always helped you to wake up and feel alive every morning. Having not slept very well last night, really needed it that morning in particular. You took a wonderfully drawn out shower, then hopped out and dried yourself off, finishing up your morning routine before going to head toward the bunker kitchen for breakfast.
You glanced at your bed as you walked past it, you had a gut feeling that you should make it, but you ignored it. You usually made it and hid away the stuffed bunny that was somewhere around your messy pile of sheets. The bunny had been given to you as a child by your grandmother before she was murdered. You had found out later in life through her restless spirit that it was a Crocotta that had taken her from you, it had used your voice to lure her in. Your descent into the world of the supernatural began there, and since then you had never turned back.
Being a hunter of your status living with the Winchesters, it didn’t seem like sleeping with a stuffed rabbit every night was for the bravest or boldest hunters. So, you simply hid the bunny from everyone and kept to yourself regarding your sleeping habits. You had been getting a little bit too comfortable with leaving the bunny lying around once you moved into the bunker with
Sam and Dean. Both of them knew you valued your privacy and didn’t ever enter your room without permission.
Making your way to the kitchen, you entered to find Sam and Dean sitting across from each other at the table digging into some eggs and bacon. Dean grinned at you around a piece of bacon, and Sam nodded to you in greeting, having just taken a mouthful of eggs.
“I left you some eggs and bacon in the oven.”
Dean stated with a wide smile. You raised an eyebrow in surprise. Dean was usually not one to leave any food behind. It never bothered you, making your own breakfast wasn’t necessarily a chore, and it usually gave you time to think through your schedule for the day peacefully.
“You mean I practically had to punch you before you finally agreed to not eat every last bit of food.” Sam corrected.
“Yeah, that sounds more like it.”
You said, laughing at the distasteful look Dean gave to Sam. Sam grinned and laughed with you before focusing back on his breakfast. You joined soon after, then started on cleaning up the kitchen, knowing that Dean wouldn’t want to and Sam had made breakfast. It was only fair to contribute in some way.
Only when you heard your phone going off faintly from your room a little while later did you pause. Your hands were covered in soap, and you truly didn’t feel like rinsing them off in the middle of cleaning dishes just to check who was calling. On the off chance that it was a truly important call, you asked Dean if he could grab your phone for you. He agreed and make his way toward your room. It wasn’t until you could almost feel Dean crossing the threshold into your bedroom before you remembered two very important details. You hadn’t made your bed, and you had no idea where your bunny was on that very messy bed.
“Wait!”
You called, haphazardly rinsing off and drying your hands. You launched toward your room, hoping to the sweet lord that Dean didn’t spot the bunny before you did. You would never hear the end of it if he found the stuffed rabbit. The worst of your fears were confirmed when you stopped short of your door, watching Dean walk out of your room with a delighted smile. Your phone was clutched in one hand, and your bunny was in the other. Immediately Dean adopted a baby voice and questioned,
“Now who’s this Lil guy?”
Fuck. Your thoughts raced for a response.
“That’s…”
Dean cut you off, still sporting his baby voice. He turned the bunny to look at him,
“Let me guess, is your name bunny or bun? Maybe bun bun if you were feeling really creative.”
You glowered at him, and advanced, attempting to get the poor bunny out of his hands. Naturally, Dean evaded you and laughed.
“What? Can’t go without your little bunny?”
Your frustration was growing quickly as you attempted to slap the stuffed animal out of his grip. Dean laughed harder at the fact you were too short to reach it, but his laughter was cut abruptly when the bunny was snatched from his grip unexpectedly.
“Don’t be a prick, dude.”
Sam said, handing you the little bunny with a soft smile. Relief flooded over you, and you gave Dean a look that clearly translated to ‘go to hell.’
“It’s just a toy.”
Dean said with a mixture of amusement at you and annoyance at Sam.
“No, it’s not.”
You shot back, your voice laced with venom. You shook your head, knowing he probably wouldn’t care to hear what the bunny actually meant to you. You huffed and marched into your room, closing the door behind you.
You glared at your bed for a moment, almost wanting to blame it for such an unfortunate start to your day. Dean was going to bring this up every chance he could. Probably around people you definitely didn’t want to have any knowledge of it as well. Honestly, you were more concerned about what Sam might be thinking. You had always had a bit of a crush on Sam, but you couldn’t imagine he returned the sentiment, especially after he found out you were hiding a raggedy looking stuffed bunny in your room.
A soft knock on your door startled you out of your thoughts. You turned your glare toward the door, expecting Dean to come bumbling in, mocking you about the bunny. Instead the door slowly swung open to reveal Sam’s larger stature. Your glare cleared, and you simply stared at Sam in question.
“Is it alright if I come in?”
He asked. He brushed some hair out of his eyes and smiled softly at you. A swarm of butterflies swarmed your stomach.
“Of course.”
You responded, returning his smile.
Sam entered your room slowly, closing the door quietly behind him. He steadily made his way toward you, only stopping a few feet from you. You tried not to stare too hard, and you found yourself feeling ridiculous for how flustered he made you. Sam reached into his pocket and revealed your phone, offering it to you. You gratefully took it from him.
“Dean still had it, and I figured you wouldn’t want to see him any time soon.”
Sam said with a chuckle. You laughed, responding,
“How right you are, Sammy.”
Sam’s smile widened for a moment,
“I’m sorry about all of that, by the way. It’s pretty obvious the bunny means something to you. You carry it with you every time we travel. I didn’t say anything, but I’ve seen glances of it a few times before.”
You looked to him in surprise,
“It was actually the last thing my grandmother gave to me before she was killed by a Crocotta. It used my voice to lure her in. The bunny is all I have left.”
Sam’s smile was replaced by a mixture of surprise and sadness.
“I’m so sorry, Y/n…”
He said, just above a whisper. He sat next to you on the bed, slowly bringing you into a hug. The moment he touched you, it felt like a million sparks lit inside your heart, and a wildfire erupted in your stomach.
“It’s okay, Sam.”
You said dumbly. There wasn’t much else for you to say.
Sam pulled away from you, shaking his head.
“You never should have had to go through that pain.”
You placed a hand on his cheek, cupping it softly.
“No,” you said, “you are the one who should have never had to go through all of this pain. You didn’t deserve any of it, Sam.”
Sam let out a shaky breath, then slowly leaned down to kiss you. His lips were soft and warm, and you felt like a thousand fireworks exploded in you. You smiled softly, kissing him back without hesitation. Sam pulled away after a moment, resting his forehead against your own and pulling you closer to him.
“I have to say, I’m so glad Dean found your bunny.”

Pairing: Dean Winchester x Reader, Sam Winchester x Reader (platonic, but he’s kind of an ass in this one.)
Summary/Request: Hi lovely, can you write a DeanxReader where reader is a lot younger than Dean, but they are in love and Sam sees that she has a bunch of hickeys from Dean and he makes fun of her for it and for how much younger she is and he goes a little too far and the Reader gets upset and then Dean walks in and he gets mad at Sam and it ends V FLUFFY (Sorry if anything is too specific I just saw from another post that you were okay with more specific requests)
Word Count: 1969
Warnings: Blasphemy (using the lord's name in vain), cussing, Sam is a bit of an ass in this one, mentions of anxiety about unrequited love, VERY fluffy with Dean
You yawned and stretched, having just woken up from a very deep sleep. Turning to your side, Dean was next to you, still wrapped up in an apparently nice dream. He had a small content smile dancing across his lips, and you couldn’t help but fall in love with him all over again. Every little moment with him reminded you why you fell for him so hard and so fast. The man was not only a legend among hunters but also very well known for surfing from girl to girl. You would’ve never imagined that you would be the person that made Dean Winchester stop in his tracks. You hadn’t even actively pursued him. Dean claimed that he knew from the moment he saw you that he was gonna fall in love with you.
“You turned me into a damn teddy bear.”
He would always complain to you.
You would just smile and give him a soft hum in affirmation. He was still a little rough around the edges so to say. He didn’t hesitate to tear anyone to pieces if they threatened you or Sam, but you got to see a whole different side to Dean when you were alone. Along with Sam. Sam liked you, he really did, he just found it odd, along with a few others, that Dean had fallen in love with you as you were younger than Sam. There was altogether quite a few years separating you and Dean, but you weren’t anywhere near a child, so you personally didn’t see any problem in it. You and Dean were two consenting adults that loved each other, and you couldn’t comprehend why some people just couldn’t accept that.
You stared at Dean for a few more minutes, practically radiating love toward him, before you finally decided to force yourself out of bed. Yawning a few more times, you shuffled your way toward the bunker’s kitchen and hoped to god that Sam had already made coffee. Much to your enthusiasm, Sam had indeed made a pot of coffee, and you happily poured yourself and Dean a cup. You stood in the kitchen, just taking in the delectable smell of your coffee. It always smelled better than it tasted, but damn if that coffee didn’t taste like a little cup of heaven.
“Hey there, Pongo.”
You turned to find Sam leaning against the wall opposite to you, smirking like a middle schooler who just made a sex joke. You raised an eyebrow. Sam’s smile faded, apparently expecting you to react positively to his ‘clever’ joke.
“It’s the- you know… The dog in 101 Dalmatians. Haven’t you seen that movie, or is it too old for you?”
You couldn’t force back a heavy eye-roll at that point.
“Oh of course I haven’t seen that classic Disney movie, Sam. It’s not like kids nowadays are watching it, too. Pongo was a boy, by the way, Perdita is the girl, it would’ve been more fitting.”
Sam laughed, taking a sip of his own coffee.
“Sorry I haven’t watched the movie recently, I forgot it was practically a few weeks ago you were watching cartoons and singing along to Disney movies.”
You bit back a scathing remark, getting more irritated with Sam by the minute. You wished you had covered the love bites Dean had left down your neck and across your collarbones.
“Jesus, Sam,” you murmured, “could you give it a rest for one day?”
Sam chuckled once more, then turned to continue whatever task he had stopped seemingly purely to poke fun at you.
You loved Sam a hell of a lot, but it got to you quickly when he constantly mocked you for being so young. Especially when he brought Dean into the picture. You could see how Dean dating someone younger than him could come across as a bit odd to Sam at first, but after so many months, you were ready for him to leave you alone in that regard. No longer quite as at peace as you were moments ago, you simply finished off your coffee and took Dean his own.
Entering the room the two of you shared, you sat next to Dean on the bed. He still slept deeply, murmuring your name a few times in his sleep, much to your delight. Finally, you decided to actually wake him up before his coffee got cold. Dean was no faster to get up than you were. He smiled tiredly at you when you finally managed to wake him, and delivered a soft kiss to your cheek. He gently took his coffee from you and didn’t bother to savor the flavor. He practically chugged it down. He set down the mug and stretched his more than likely sore muscles with a dramatic groan of effort. You laughed as he wrapped his arms around you and held you to his chest, kissing every inch of your face he could manage to as you squirmed in his grip.
“Good morning, baby.”
He whispered. You almost melted. His morning voice was like pure ambrosia to you. You smiled and relaxed into his arms, snaking your own around him. He was warm, full of love, and all of it was yours. Dean Winchester loved you with everything in him, and God it felt good.
“I love you, Dean.”
He chuckled softly, catching your lips in another soft kiss before he slowly pulled away and looked at you fully.
“I love you more than anything, Y/n.”
No matter how many times he told you, your heart still fluttered wildly like a caged butterfly. You hummed in content, resting your cheek on his bare chest, and listening to his heartbeat. The slow steady rhythm of Dean’s heart lulled you back into a light sleep, leading you into sweet dreams of him.
---
You woke up disappointed to say the least. You were no longer laying on Dean, and he was nowhere to be seen. Wandering out into the halls of the bunker, you looked around for Dean for a little while before finding your way into the library. Sam sat in a red chair next to a small bookshelf, books piled around him. He was hunched over a thick ancient looking book, his brows creased in concentration.
“Hey, Sammy!”
You called happily. He took a moment to break his focus from the book, probably wanting to finish whatever page or paragraph he was on.
“What’s up?” he asked.
He definitely seemed to want to get back to reading, but being Sam, he was probably trying not to be rude. You stood there for a moment awkwardly, not particularly keen on mentioning Dean in fear of him immediately starting a tirade of jokes that you wouldn’t find amusing. You didn’t really have any other reason to be bothering him though. What came out was a sad excuse for small talk.
“How’s the book?”
Sam looked between you and the book in confusion for a minute, then replying slowly,
“I mean… It’s good. No Pulitzer or anything. Did you need it for something or…?”
You shook your head quickly,
“No, I was just…”
Sam cut you off, a light bulb virtually popping up over his head.
“You’re just looking for Dean, aren’t you?”
You laughed at your own awkwardness and nodded your head in affirmation. Your smile faded when Sam continued,
“Didn’t they teach you how to ask questions directly in middle school? I can’t believe you don’t remember- it being, what? Two years ago?”
You rolled your eyes.
“Yeah, really funny, Sam. Seriously, do you know where Dean is?”
Sam grinned at you widely, responding without hesitation,
“Have you checked the nearest high schools? Middle Schools? Hell, he might be robbing another cradle for all we know, Y/n.”
Your frustration was building quickly, and so were the tears in your eyes that you refused to let fall.
“What is your problem, Sam? Can’t you tell these jokes aren’t funny anymore? You’re being immature!”
You responded, your voice shaking lightly.
“You can’t lecture me about being immature, Y/n. I mean, you practically just hit puberty.”
He replied. You could feel your face getting red, and you were practically sweating from the anger boiling inside of you.
“That’s disgusting, Sam!”
Sam chuckled,
“Almost as disgusting as thinking of you two dating when Dean was 18. He’d have to kiss your mom to get the message to you!”
Before you had the chance to respond, Dean’s voice was roaring behind you.
“Why don’t you learn when to shut the hell up, Sam?”
You turned to Dean in surprise, wondering how much he had heard. He set down a takeout bag on one of the tables and gestured for you to come toward him.
“What’s disgusting is harassing Y/n with the same shit every day. The jokes were funny when we were younger, but now you’re just making yourself look like an ass.” Dean glared at Sam as you made your way toward him. “Here's your goddamn rabbit food.” He harshly took the bag off the table and launched it toward Sam, then gently took your hand and lead you back to your room.
Dean didn’t say a word until he slammed the door shut behind the two of you. You stared at anything but him, worried that this would damage your relationship. You were always scared Sam’s jokes would get to Dean too, and he’d finally start seeing things the way Sam did.
“Baby, look at me.”
You forced yourself to look Dean in the eyes. Terrified of the thought that he might not love you as much as you did him. The thought that he might not love you enough to put up with moments like these was almost drowning you in doubt and anxiety.
“Sam’s just being a dick because he hasn’t been laid in months. There’s nothing wrong with how old we are. We’re both adults and Sam’s opinion doesn’t mean shit. He’s probably got his panties in a twist that he’s not the one who gets to wake up to your smile every morning.”
You smiled tenderly at Dean, your heart easing up at his words. Dean set down the takeout bag and advanced toward you. He tilted your head up, kissing you passionately. You felt yourself relax fully into him, and smile against his lips. When he finally broke away, he smiled excitedly at you and picked up the takeout bag once more.
“I got us burgers and y/f pie!”
You couldn’t help but laugh at the excitement in his voice. He was always so happy at the aspect of making you happy. How could you ever doubt his love? You both made your way to the bed, and Dean handed you a slightly greasy styrofoam box that contained one of the best bacon cheeseburgers you’d ever tasted. You both ate happily in silence.
Halfway through your y/f pie, you felt Dean’s stare. You looked over to him to find him smiling warmly at you. He hadn’t even started eating his pie.
“What’s wrong?”
You asked after swallowing down a mouthful of your pie. Dean laughed and shook his head, replying,
“I was just wondering how you look so god damn beautiful no matter what you’re doing.”
Dean really had a talent for making your heart melt. You smiled at him, putting the last of your pie off to the side.
“You really are turning into a teddy bear.”
You replied. Dean laughed once more, reaching out and pulling you into his arms. You laughed with him, and kissed him.
“I love you, Dean.”
You whispered. Closing your eyes, you rested your head against his chest, listening to his heartbeat.

I’ll start working on it as soon as possible! Like the last request, it might take a few days or more depending on college and work. I will try to get it out as fast as possible! (and yes, I am 100% okay with specific requests. If being specific makes you more likely to be satisfied with the finished story, I’m happy) <3

“Y/N, if you leave this house, you better hope I never fucking see you again!”
You flinched as your father slammed his fists against your bedroom door, trying to push it open. A barricade of practically anything you could possibly push in front of it was currently the only thing keeping you safe. You had finally had enough. Your father drank alcohol like water and used you as a punching bag. Your brother took his anger at your father out on you, and God knows where your mother was half the time. No fifteen year old should have to go through any of it. Your yearning for escape had finally overpowered your fear of your father, and you were frantically shoving anything you could think of needing into a duffel bag before he could manage to get past your haphazard barricade.
“Trust me, I promise we’ll never be anywhere near each other again.”
You said, knowing full well your father couldn’t hear you over his own drunken screams of outrage.
Yanking your window open, you kicked out the screen, climbed out of it, and ran like hell. The promise you made to your father that night was one you planned on keeping for the rest of your life.
You ran down your street, but it never seemed to end, only growing longer with every step you took. Turning to look behind you, you saw your father coming closer to you by the second, his hand raised, ready to hurt you more than he ever did before. He caught you, and you kicked and struggled as hard as you could, trying desperately to escape his grasp. His eyes were just as you remembered, they lacked any shred of empathy, humanity even. Other children grew up fearing the boogeyman, you were terrified of your own father and his cold eyes.
“Y/N!”
His voice sounded wrong, too deep, too gravely.
“Y/N?”
Your eyes shot open to Dean hovering above you, his eyebrows knit in concern. You held back a heavy sigh of relief.
“Baby, you kicked the hell out of me. Are you okay?”
You checked the clock next to your crappy hotel bed. Six in the morning. Your dreams liked to torment you with memories of your childhood, especially the night you escaped that godforsaken house. You had run for your life, and your father never caught up to you, but your brain liked to play the lovely ‘what if you didn’t escape, though?’ game.
“I’m sorry, hun. Jus’ go back to sleep…”
Dean stared at you for a moment, then giving you a soft kiss before collapsing back onto the bed to gain some much-needed rest. You knew you weren’t going back to sleep. Sleep never came easy to you, but it was ten times more elusive after a nightmare about your childhood.
You sighed in annoyance at your own brain for weaving such cruel dreams into your night. Deciding to get some coffee, you got ready for the day as quietly as possible, tiptoeing around the boys as if they were sleeping bears, which they practically were. The town you were in was too close to your “home” town. You knew it was unlikely you’d see your father, he rarely left the house unless he needed to earn some money or burn it all on beer again. Either way, there was a constant dread in your stomach the moment Dean pulled Baby into the janky little town.
---
“Hey, I got coffee!” you said as you entered the room once more. Sam was already pouring over something on the laptop. Dean sat staring blankly at one of his knives, most likely examining it for any imperfections as he had nothing better to do at the moment.
“Y/N, I could kiss you.”
Sam sighed out thoughtlessly, plucking a cup out of the drink carrier you held.
“Sure, if you wanna get throat-punched.”
Dean replied without hesitation. You chuckled, placing the other two drinks on the bedside table next to the bed you and Dean shared.
“Sorry Sammy,” you said with a smile, “I don’t like long hair.”
Sam glanced back to you with a raised eyebrow, a shit-eating grin lighting up his features,
“So,” he replied, “you’re saying if I cut my hair…?”
Dean grumbled and pulled you onto the bed with him. You couldn’t stop yourself from laughing.
“Watch yourself, Sam.”
You stated simply, giggling at his face of repulsion when Dean pulled you against his chest and started kissing up and down your neck.
“On that note, let’s be ready for this case. We’ve definitely got at least two, maybe three vampires picking off people in pairs.
You groaned in annoyance, vampires were so tedious. Dean laughed silently against you, knowing your hatred for the blood-suckers. You hummed softly and turned to face him, bringing him into a soft kiss that became more heated with every second. He smiled against your lips and moaned lightly, pressing you even tighter against him.
“Jesus, I am still in the room!”
Sam said, his voice practically screaming his discomfort. You and Dean separated. Dean sighed, letting his head fall back against his pillow.
“Ya mind not being in the room then, Sammy?”
You suppressed a laugh at the annoyed look Sam shot Dean’s way before quickly collecting his gear and heading out of the room. The moment the hotel door closed, Dean didn’t hesitate to pull you against him once more.
----
Dean led you toward the library. Nightfall was approaching and you needed to regroup before the vampires had a chance to strike again. Sam sat at a table toward the back of the library, fully engulfed in whatever article he had was typing on his laptop. Dean glanced toward you, a wide mischievous smile stretching across his lips. You shook your head and simply watched as Dean stalked quietly toward Sam.
“Dude, I could hear you from a mile away.”
Sam said, and Dean huffed in frustration that Sam had ruined his fun. You approached the boys, already uncomfortable with the thought of being stuck in a library. You weren’t necessarily in a reading mood, and it wasn’t like you needed to research vampires. They were what threw you into the hunting life. A piece of shit vampire had seen a young vulnerable looking girl obviously traveling alone, fortunately Bobby had happened to be in just the right place at the right time. He took you in and taught you everything you knew. He never questioned why you used to flinch harder at him raising a hand too fast than at a full grown werewolf snapping its jaws at your face. You were always grateful for him treating you like his own till the day he died. Bobby was a saint to you, more of a father than your own had ever been.
Obviously you came in contact with the Winchesters, having been with Bobby all those years. Dean had taken quite an infatuation with you, and Sammy had a small crush, but he respected Dean’s feelings too much to do anything about it. You missed Bobby, but once he was gone, there was no point in you staying at his house anymore. You finally gave into your feelings for Dean and took to the road with the boys. Now here you were, only miles from the very place you started. Miles from the place you vowed to never come back to.
“Baby, you okay?”
You jumped slightly at Dean’s question, you had fully zoned out thinking about your past. You nodded, trying to shake off the uneasy feeling in your stomach. Something felt off.
“Y/n, seriously, what’s up?”
Dean questioned once more, his eyebrows were now knit in concern. You had never told Dean about your childhood. Every time that topic came to life, you quickly changed the subject or gave vague answers. You didn’t want him to pity you for the family you were born into. You didn’t want your shitty past to affect your future, and you didn’t know how Dean would react. At this point in your relationship, you weren’t sure it was even smart to tell him about it.
“I guess I’m just tired. I didn’t sleep well last night, after all.”
Dean didn’t look satisfied with your answer whatsoever, and he went to further question you, but you swiftly took a seat next to Sam. Sam glanced at you, offered a small smile, and continued typing away.
“So what are we dealing with here, Sammy?”
You asked, leaning back into the padded chair. It smelled funny. You frowned, choosing to instead sit on the edge of the chair. You could handle blood, guts, and all the other things that came with hunting, but publicly used furniture like this was where you drew the line. God knows how long it had been since the chairs had been properly cleaned. By the smell that oozed off of them, clearly the cleaning had not been recent.
“Well,” Sam said, pausing for a moment to finish up whatever he was typing out, “It shouldn’t be too bad. It’s two vampires terrorizing towns all over the state. Looks like a couple, honestly.”
You couldn’t help but roll your eyes. Murdering innocent people and draining their blood. How romantic. You looked to Dean, going to make a sarcastic comment, but he was already staring you down. Clearly he was not ready to let go of your brief conversation. Sighing, you turned back to Sam. He looked between you and Dean awkwardly, clearly sensing the tension between the two of you.
“Uh,” Sam looked about ready to sink into his chair. “Well… anyway… I hacked into a security camera around where the last two bodies were found. Here.”
He spun the laptop toward you, and you squinted at the terrible quality video. The male vampire ate like an absolute pig, he practically tore his victim to shreds, splattering blood everywhere. The female was surprisingly neat and well mannered for a vampire devouring the blood of its victim. Disgust overtook your features as you watched them practically eat each other’s faces as well once they were done feeding. Kissing with blood smeared all over Dean’s face was not your number one romantic fantasy if you were being honest.
“Okay, well enough of that.” you cringed at the disgusting display of affection, spinning the laptop away from you. “Should be easy. The woman is my worry, they’re always harder to get. Male vampires love to run right into a fight, the girl will probably strategize before she attacks.”
Sam nodded in agreement. Not all male vampires ran straight into the attack, but most did. You expected nothing less from this one, especially watching the hyper-aggressive way he ate.
“Who knows, Y/n, maybe he’s smarter than you think.”
Dean grunted. You shrugged. Maybe.
“We can never be too safe. Just don’t underestimate either of them.”
You responded.
“Yeah, maybe they’re hiding something. Doesn’t it suck when people hide things from you?”
Dean quipped back. You narrowed your eyes at him. He was being petty now. Sure, you could see how not telling him everything might upset him, but you hated when people were petty.
“Okay, well when you’re done acting like a high-schooler, I’ll be preparing for the hunt.”
You stood from your smelly library chair, and quickly made your way back to the streets. Practically slamming the doors open, you didn’t even know where you were going, but you didn’t want to be anywhere near that library and its god awful smelling seats.
Your thoughts were interrupted when you abruptly ran into seemingly the only other person out on the streets that night. You withheld an angry exclamation, it was your own fault for not paying attention to where you were going, but god it was infuriating either way.
“Oh sorry.”
You began, your next words dying in your throat when you made eye contact with the man you had run into. He had your father’s eyes. They lacked any emotion, they were cold. You felt a wave of nausea in your stomach, and practically jumped away from him.
“Y/N?”
Your stomach twisted. You felt the blood leave your face, and considered pretending not to know who the hell he was talking about. You never wanted to see him again either. The situation you were put in prevented you both from ever becoming as close as siblings should have, let alone nearly as close as Sam and Dean. Your brother, Danny, only got worse as time went by. He seemed to lose all empathy as the two of you grew older.
---
You sat in your bedroom, reading the latest book in your vast collection. They felt like the only way you could escape your reality at that point. Your father refused to give you any form of technology, and wouldn’t allow you to watch television with him in the living room. You were only provided with books he approved of, or ones you managed to sneak in under his nose when he passed out on the living room couch. The book you were reading at the time was a perfect example of one you weren’t supposed to be reading. Anything revolving around traveling the world, or freedom of thought and speech, your father hated.
Anything that might give you any semblance of hope outside of that house was absolutely forbidden. He constantly reminded you that he owned you, that you weren’t even allowed to think a certain way unless he said you could. As you grew older, even being forced into homeschooling, you obviously formed your own thoughts, opinions, and personality. You never expressed any of these things to him, but rage started to build within you, buried under your fear for him.
“What are you doing?”
You jumped, slamming the book shut and shoving it under your pillow. Your brother stood at your bedroom door, eyeing you in suspicion.
“Nothing, Danny. What do you want?”
Danny scoffed, slowly stalking toward you. You cringed with every step he took closer to you and your smuggled book. You knew this wouldn’t end well. Your brother would snitch if it meant his skin was saved from a beating. It was almost as if your father had a daily tally going. Whoever did the most wrong, or annoyed him the most would be punished every night. You felt as if yours were always more severe than Danny’s. Danny rarely ever got punished anyway, he made sure of that.
“I want to know what you’re reading.”
He replied.
“Danny, stop it!”
You cried out, trying to stop him as he quickly lunged for the book under your pillow. He held it up, a victorious smile painting his lips. His eyebrows knit in anger as he read the description of your book. His glare toward you shifted to pure anxiety when his eyes darted to your bedroom door. You tensed. You knew what that look of fear meant. Father was awake.
“What the fuck are you two making so much noise for? What are you doing Danny?”
Danny shook his head quickly, holding up the book for your father to see while he quickly explained,
“It’s Y/n’s! I caught her reading this stuff, I was just telling her to get rid of it.”
Fear shot straight to your heart, and you stared at your lap, trying to keep yourself from shaking. Every step your father took closer to that book was a step closer to your next punishment. You understood Danny throwing you under the bus this time, but still resented him for it.
“What the fuck is this bullshit, Y/n? I didn’t say you could read this propaganda!”
You let out a small cry when he grabbed your chin so harshly you knew it would bruise. Forcing you to look at him, he sneered,
“Going behind my back and reading shit like this under my fucking roof? You’re in for it this time, little girl.”
He hit the side of your head so hard with the book, you became dizzy for a moment, and your hearing was muffled. At least you could only hear him screaming at you through one ear. That was only the start of what he had planned for you. He made Danny watch everything he did to you. Danny didn’t show an ounce of emotion the entire time. His eyes bore into yours. They were cold and unapologetic. Better you than him, right? That was the day you realized Danny had your father’s cold eyes.
---
“Y/n?”
You snapped out of your worst memory with Danny, feeling like you really might throw up, scream, run, cry, or punch him.
“No.”
You stated, moving to walk past him. He grabbed your arm, so hard you knew it would bruise. You felt as if your lungs were collapsing in on themselves. You felt trapped. You felt like that fifteen year old girl again, helpless to everything going on around her. Isolated, terrified, and wanting nothing more than to run.
“Y/n, I know it’s you. You have dad’s eyes.”
You tore your arm from his grasp, feeling as though your heart had stopped beating the moment you heard him utter those words. Those disgusting words.
“Don’t you ever compare me to him! Don’t you dare say I look anything like that fucking monster!”
Danny took a step toward you, and you matched him with a step back.
“Y/n, dad would love to see you.”
You stared at your brother, appalled.
“So he can beat me again? Call me worthless? So he can fucking torture me while you watch?”
Danny shook his head, grabbing your shoulders,
“Y/n, it's been years. We’re still your family.”
You laughed at him, pain lacing your voice as you practically screamed,
“I will never consider either of you my family! You did nothing, Danny! He beat me, and you just watched! You stood there and fucking watched as he beat me! You just wanted to save your own ass. You never cared when we were children, neither of you did, so don’t you dare act like you care now!”
Danny’s eyes betrayed his apologetic expression. He had no intent on letting you go without a fight.
Click.
“Get the fuck away from her, you piece of shit.”
Your eyes started watering in pure relief at the sound of Dean’s voice. You were shaking, too many traumatic and repressed memories were slamming through you like a tornado. Danny’s grip on you loosened in surprise, just enough to let you pull back and jab him in the throat.
“Mother fucker!”
Danny wheezed out, stumbling backward and falling on his ass.
You didn’t think, you bolted. You sprinted as hard and fast as you could straight to the hotel, not once looking back.
----
You sat in the hotel bathtub, trying to choke back sobs. Trying as hard as you could to stop yourself from having a panic attack. You knew something felt off earlier. It was your gut telling you to get the hell out of that town. A knock on the door almost sent you into a full panic until you saw it was Dean. You were terrified of the thought of Danny tracking you down and dragging you kicking and screaming back to your worst nightmare. The sight of Dean calmed you slightly, but you were still on the brink hyperventilating.
“Baby…”
Dean took a few tentative steps toward the bathtub, silently gauging whether or not it was okay for him to be near you, let alone touch you after what happened with your brother. You squeezed your eyes shut, drawing shaking breaths in and out, trying more than anything to keep it together.
“Do you want me here?”
He asked after a moment. You nodded your head in affirmation. Dean stepped into the bathtub, struggling to sit comfortably in it. It was comical how small his larger stature made the tub look. You let out a raspy laugh, and Dean smiled softly at you. He slowly and gently guided you to lay on top of him, your head resting on his chest.
You laid there in silence for almost an hour. Dean didn’t try to pry anything out of you, he simply rubbed your back and ran his fingers through your hair. He didn’t even need to speak to calm you down. Eventually your breathing came easily again, and you finally whispered,
“How much did you hear?”
Dean sighed, his voice nothing but factual as he responded,
“Everything.”
You nodded.
“My dad… he was worse than any monster we’ve ever hunted. He hurt me in more ways than I thought possible.”
You finally adjusted to look Dean in the eyes. They didn’t hold any pity, just sorrow.
“You don't have to…”
You cut him off quickly,
“I want you to know everything. I don’t ever want to hide anything from you, Dean.”
Dean nodded, giving you a soft smile.
“He would do unspeakable things to me, and make Danny watch. It got to the point Danny would get me into trouble on purpose- to save his own ass. He didn’t care, just as long as it wasn’t him getting the beating.” you paused, taking in a few shaky breaths, “One night he told Danny to hold me down while he punished me for speaking out of line. Even when I screamed and pleaded, Danny just held me down while my father punished me. My brother was long gone, he stared into my eyes, and it was almost as if he couldn’t hear or see me. I was only fifteen.”
Dean’s eyes were glossy with tears, you could tell it hurt him to hear, but you felt he deserved to know everything. His voice was thick and raspier than usual as he murmured,
“You don’t ever have to worry about him. I made sure he’ll never look for you, let alone touch you, again.”
You could only imagine what Dean and Sam had done with Danny the moment you left.
“It was my dad who caused those scars on my stomach. The ones I told you were from a hunt gone wrong. I ran away the night he carved them into me, and I never looked back. After a few days of traveling I was attacked by a vampire. Bobby saved my life. That was the night I consider my life to have actually started. Bobby saved my life in more ways than I could ever explain.”
Dean wrapped his arms around you, holding you against him as if the moment he let go you might disappear.
“I’m sorry about earlier, baby. I didn’t…”
He trailed off with a sigh. You knew what he meant. He never could’ve imagined it was this that you were hiding from him.
“No, I’m sorry for keeping it from you for so long, darling. You deserved to know, especially with how long we’ve been together. I was scared it would push you away, or make you look at me differently.”
Dean shook his head adamantly.
“Y/n, I’ll love you no matter what. I knew I wanted to be with you when I saw you smile for the first time. You could try to kill me, and I’d probably still follow you around like a dumbass.”
You laughed, drawing him into a gentle kiss.
“I love you so much, Dean.”
You whispered. Dean kissed you softly once more, then whispering back,
“I will love you with everything in me until the day I die… again...” he trailed off for a moment before adding, “I’ll love you even when I’m dead.”
You couldn’t help but laugh.
“I don’t think you’ll ever permanently die anyway, Dean.”
Dean laughed with you, retorting,
“I’ll love you every time I get brought back, too.”
Hey I just found your blog and I really love your writing! Do you know when that request will be answered, because I am really looking forward to your next story!!
Thank you for the sweet compliment, it is very much appreciated! I’m actually going to be posting that request in a few minutes, I just have to finish up editing. I hope you and the anon that requested it enjoy it! <3
hey sorry if this is too specify but could you do a deanxreader where she grew up in a really abusive household and had an older brother but she couldn't deal with it anymore so she ran away when she was 15 and she somehow became a hunter and is now dating dean (he doesn't know about her past) but she runs into her brother while on a hunt and she starts having flashbacks so sam and dean get super protective and pull her away from him and she tells them about her past and its like insanely fluffy
I can 100% write that for you, anon! Honeslty i appreciate the specification as well, it makes writing a fic for someone less stressful in my opinion :) it might take a hot minute due to work and college,, but it will be out asap.
