Enjoyed my last few days off in San Francisco before I start working.

I grew up watching Boy Meets World, so when they had a reboot of the show, Girl Meets World, I had to watch it. I immediately became a fan as the show has that after-school-TV-show feel to it. When I heard that Sabrina Carpenter (Maya) had a concert in SF, I had to go since there was a meet and greet included in the VIP package.

Hiking at Mile Rock Beach Tuesday

Took a break from studying to enjoy yet another beautiful by BBQing at the beach with a couple friends.

The weather was beautiful today and couldn’t waste it so took a long walk along Ocean Beach.

McWay Falls (Big Sur, CA)

This year for Valentine's Day, we decided to do a mini getaway, just for the weekend. We've never been to Big Sur so we decided to head south. Our Valentine's dinner and AirBnB were both in Carmel so we stayed in that area and walked around downtown, saving Big Sur for Sunday. Almost everything in downtown Carmel was super expensive. Looks like it caters to rich people as I did notice a handful of nice cars driving around Ocean Avenue. After walking around for a little while, we decided to head back to the AirBnB to rest since we both only had 4 hours of sleep at most the night before. The place we booked was a cozy, old farmhouse. The couple that was hosting was very friendly and were quite the couple. The woman teaches art and photography at a local community college and the guy also makes art and plays in a band. The following day, Valentine's Day, we headed for McWay Falls in Big Sur. We probably should have left a little earlier as the drive was just under 2 hours. We took a little longer to leave the AirBnB because the couple was nice enough to make us breakfast! It was just a simple breakfast consisting of bagels, bacon, eggs and tea but it was enough to keep our stomachs full so we didn't have to find something to eat elsewhere. The drive to Big Sur was a long one as a good chunk of it was all windy, one-laned mountain roads. I thought it was going to be more of a hike, but it wasn't. We just parked on the side of the road and walked down to a path where you can see the waterfall. We hung out there until sunset and called it a day since we had a LONG drive back. The drive was supposed to talk about 3 hours, but it took us more than 5 hours to get back since there was an accident on the mountain road, causing at least 2 hours of crawling traffic. Then pretty much every freeway we came across had damn near standstill traffic, most likely due to everyone leaving the Pebble Beach golf tournament. All in all, a great little getaway with the wife!

🏈 Testing out my #verticaljump. Got 30" or so...not terrible, but not great. I used to be able to jump much higher, but 40+lbs of muscle since high school makes it harder.
