Orc blacksmith x Human reader
This orc blacksmith believes you have to finish how you started, he will continue to court you and shower you in affection well within the marriage.
At the end of every week he brings you home a trinket made in the forge with his scrap metals. It started with these cute little animal figurines, as of late its metal flowers, you were beginning to form your own everlasting bouquet of his work.
Until one day he doesn't bring you one...
You'd become a little spoiled, so when you didn't see your gift you were a bit put out about it, "where's my flower?," you demand before he even gets his cloak off. He laughed that loud rumble he only gives to you before bringing his large thumb up to rub at the frown line between your brows, then he kissed it gently. To your excitement he pulls a small bouquet of real flowers from behind his back.
He's all soft smiles when he tells you to dress warm you're going out.
While you'd typically walk through the orc village, this evening he insisted you take the horse, claiming he didn't want you to get too cold on the walk to your surprise destination. You couldn’t complain when you got to sit between his thick warm thighs.
He simply laughs and kisses the top of your head at your persistent questioning. First, he had you stay put as he went into the tavern. He came out a little while later with a basket of steaming goods and two water canteens. Then he led you onto an unkept dirt path leading into the forest behind villagers homes.
Tall trees void of leaves and draped in snow surrounded you and kissed in the middle, giving the path a storybook feel. After a while the trees parted completely, leaving you breathless as you looked out at the large clearing you’d entered. It was completely snow covered and surrounded by trees, in the distance there was a mountain looming and pulling the scene together.
He pulled the horse to a stop and tied her to a tree, unloading the basket and a set of rolled blankets. Taking your hand he walked you to the middle of the clearing and laid the multiple thick blankets down, spreading the food out as he settled down, a small smile pulling up at the corners of his lips at your adoring expression.
“Are you happy my love?” He said, hand held out waiting for you to sit beside him. Instead of letting him help you sit on the blanket you crawled right in his lap.
“I’ve never been happier.”
You both ate in Companionable silence, content to take in the scenery and cuddle together against the cold as you watched the sun set behind the distant mountain.
You were full of delicious food and under a clear night sky in your lovers lap, thinking the day couldn’t get any better. Until you saw little twinkles of light flickering in the distance, gasping you sat up and pointed at the lights, “What’s that?” Your orc pulls you back to his chest
“The fairies are migrating for the winter.” Soon the clearing was covered in little sparkling bits of light speeding by, it was amazing, like little fallen stars.
Once they had passed through and he’d situated you back on the horse, you smiled and whispered to him with nothing but love in your eyes and heart “you are making everyday my best day.” His smile turned so large and lovely before he kissed you firmly on the mouth.
