If you're on this page, you most likely already know me. For those of you who don't; I'm Naberius Kalego. Khet rank. Guard dog of Babyls. Regrettably, homeroom teacher of the Misfits.
Under normal circumstances, I don't bother with social media. Nevertheless, I've been forced onto this inane platform to once again manage my troublemaker students. If there is a genuine problem, find the "ask box" linked above this post. Otherwise, don't bother me.
Hi~!
This is a Naberius Kalego RP-blog based on Osamu Nishi's Mairimashita! Iruma-kun (or Welcome to Demon School Iruma-kun).
It is, however, also a side-blog, so if you're followed by @trappedinstockholm, then it's me on my main blog. 💜
Mod information:
I'm 18+, but I don't want to write anything NSFW or at least nothing sex related.
While I've got experience with writing and roleplaying (about 15 years), I haven't had an RP-blog for a long while (about a decade), and I've never had one on this platform at all, so please be patient with me while I learn and, if I do something wrong (etiquette-wise or otherwise), please just tell me. 💜
As earlier stated, I won't be writing anything NSFW, except potentially injuries or similar, because I find it uncomfortable and due to my character being a deeply private person who will mostly be interacting with his own students, that would be inappropriate.
There may be some headcanon stuff when I have to fill in some blanks of what we know about the character. One of the headcanons is related to romance, but I unfortunately only feel comfortable writing ship stuff with my partner. I hope it's not too disappointing.
I'm currently at manga chapter: 448. I will be updating that number as I catch up. I have, however, gotten spoilers from my partner.
Do you have any tips for improving jump speed and length? I have the stablilty down, but struggle with the others.
@jackapos-black-cat
Unfortunately, the best advice that I can give you is to keep practicing until it gets easier. It takes patience and dedication to become good at something.
[He wanders over to his teacher with an cautious yet relieved look on his face.] Hi Professor...I hope you're my professor this time...the last two looked so much like him...
Iruma.
. . . Is something wrong?
Last I checked I was Naberius Kalego. Hrm. Did you get lost and run into my uncle and my brother before you found me?
[Iruma sighed in relief at the sound of his teachers voice. At least he was right this time!] I think I did. [He admitted before catching the rest of what his teacher said.] Huh? Hurt? Um...oh! I did scrape my knee when I was running from some people but I tied my handkerchief around it!
[Putting his leg out in front of him he shows off the dark purple handkerchief that was tied around his knee.]
[Iruma nodded with a soft smile then remembered what the older Neberius had called him.] He did and...he called me a pup for some reason. [He hummed softly, still a bit confused.]
[Hearing his last question, Iruma froze slightly and moved his gaze to the floor.]
[He knew he should be truthful as he's been told to, but he also didn't want to burden the teacher. He wanted to tell him about being swarmed and chased around Magical Street by demons that wanted to talk to him about Walter Park, how he had fallen and gotten hurt, how he met both Narnia and Mr. Neberius...how when he got close to the school the same fourth years that attacked him before the battler party tried to jump him...but...he held it in.]
I-I uh...I just um...[He felt his eyes stinging but he ignored it and kept looking down at the ground, nervously playing with the hem of his shirt.] ...no sir. I'm sorry.
[Kalego raises an eyebrow, but he doesn't call Iruma out on that it's clearly a lie. There is something different about Iruma, like the other Iruma from another timeline/universe, but he's not going to take a simple feeling as actual evidence.]
It's fine. You don't need to apologise for that and you don't need any particular reason. . . . You can stay if you want, Iruma.
Though, if there's anything on your mind, it's alright for you to share it. You seem ... upset. Are you certain that nothing's wrong?
[Iruma bit his lip to hold back his words and shook his head.]
[This...was a bit weird. How come he hasn't been scruffed yet? Or been threatened with being kept in the nest indefinitely? Was this really his Kalego? He's heard about the alternate universe versions of his friends/family, actually from another him! So...maybe...?]
I-I'm fine. [He lies, still not looking up from the ground.] I-If it's alright, can I work on my penmanship? I just got a new tracing book...
[A soft, dog like whine left Iruma's throat at the kind pats. He flinched and stared at the ground in confusion instead of upset. Did he just make that sound? Again?! First it was the chirping and now it's the dog sounds. He really needs to talk to Professor Balam about this...]
Th-Thank you sir. [He bowed before turning to go sit at the closest table to work on his writing. It was still pretty bad but it was getting better! At least according to Miss Momonoki.]
[Kalego stares at him for a solid minute. The whine is familiar. He made that as a kid with his brother all the time. The source, however, is confusing.]
[Iruma looks up for a moment before continuing to try and trace over the letters. Every once and a while he'd glare at his writing and aggressively erase it.]
[Eventually though his head started to droop and his eyes started to close. It would seem he used too much energy today and was growing tired but he continued to work on his writing.]
[Rubbing the sleep from his eyes, Iruma slowly shakes his head tiredly.] No...I can keep going...[He mumbled, looking up at his teacher with exhausted look on his face.] I'm not tired...
[But the hand that was holding his pencil twitched and nearly stabbed his other hand he had placed back on the table. Oh great. The muscle twitches were starting.]
[A soft yawn escapes him before he could stop it which was followed by a soft whimper due to the twitches starting to hurt.]
[Okay, now Iruma was REALLY starting to suspect that this wasn't his Kalego. Not only was he being told to go home to Opera and Grandpa, he still hadn't been scuffed and dragged to Balam's nest in his prep room.]
[Well...one more test couldn't hurt, right?]
...Professor Kalego? Do you remember what happened the day Professor Balam carried me to the teachers office? [He asks softly.]
N-No sir...[He whispered, looking down at his desk.] What happened to me was...was that when he and Professor Robin took off my top...I....I ended up...
[His hands shook as he tried to spit out what he so desperately needed to say. Gritting his teeth he lowers his head as the sleepiness from before quickly drains his emotional battery.]
[A choked sob escaped him as he remembered the events that led to him being taken away from his family. He may have been asleep through most of it but he could still hear everything very well.]
[Kalego knows that he could probably help this Iruma most by hugging him. Aria would hug him. Shichiro would hug him too. That's the correct course of action. Hug him and tell him that he doesn't need to talk about it but that Kalego will help him to figure things out. That's what he should do. That's what he wants to do, as strange as that is as an impulse—but he can't.]
[What Kalego can do is put a hand on one of Iruma's shoulders and give it a very careful (and somewhat awkward) squeeze.]
Iruma.
You don't have to tell me anything.
You don't have to follow what someone else has decided for you in that world either.
[Iruma looked up with a sad hiccup and immediately answered.] I wanna go home. I love all my teachers an-and how they've been tr-trying to protect me and show me they care but...but I want Opera-san and Grandpa an-and Salem and Hex! Bu-But I can't...not without you getting Border Patrol involved
[Rubbing his eyes he tried to force himself to stop crying, hating the feeling of tears on his skin.] I-If I had only worn my STUPID bandages o-or never insisted on staying-! [He growled, his hand subconsciously moving to scratch at his arm roughly but he managed to stop himself.] If I had just used my brain then my back never would've been seen-!
[Kalego offers him a hankerchief. He doesn't know what else to do about crying, because carrying him by the scruff, bringing him to Aria and Shichiro, and asking them to fix it isn't a good course of action—and will likely spook the kid even worse.]
The very last thing I'm going to do is getting Border Patrol involved with anything to do with you. The only time that I wouldn't be able to do anything is if my brother showed up with an army of Border Patrol demons and you did something so demonstrably stupid as confessing right in front of him.
It definitely sounds very, very concerning as your homeroom teacher, but it may be best to leave it to your family since you want to go back to them. It does sound, however, like you didn't do anything wrong. Having an injury isn't your fault. Other people getting concerned because of that injury also isn't your fault. Them disregarding your comfort and making decisions for you without your consent, however, is their fault, not yours.
Nevertheless, Iruma, I don't think wearing bandages would have removed all of the concerns either. It would have delayed it somewhat, but I think that was outside of your control.
As such, we should get you some control back, so if that's what you want, then I will simply call Opera-senpai to inform them and either have them pick you up or escort you there myself or ask Aria to do it. I don't think another Iruma will be an issue for them in the least.
If anything, I think the chair-demon would be overjoyed.
[Iruma nodded and tried to wipe away his tears, even as more fell to replace them. Unfortunately he didn't think when he spoke next.] I-I still don't e-even know why he thinks I was tourted. It was just punishments...[He mumbled softly but still loud enough his teacher could hear him.]
People sometimes call torture that if they want to stop you from realising that you've been unjustly treated. It's easier to say that you're simply being punished and allowing you to draw your own conclusions than it would be to deal with the fallout of everyone involved knowing that you're being tortured. It shifts the blame from them to you, so you don't escape. Did no one explain this to you? I'd expect Torture Studies to clue you in, but you may not have paid attention.
@opera-meow Opera-senpai, I have another universe's Iruma with me who wants to stay with you and the chair-demon while he's in this one. Is that alright? Do you have time to pick him up or should Aria or I drop him off?
[Iruma blinks away his tears as he looks at the table again. He..He thinks that Professor Marbas said something like that before to his Kalego and Balam when he thought he was asleep on the couch. But...no. No, he was bad and he deserved it!]
[He stayed quiet as he watched Kalego, his weirdly sensitive ears catching what Opera replied with.]
It's a major security risk to let just anyone stay at the estate. Especially someone we can't exactly do a background check on.
But, since it is Iruma, and from what I've seen he seems innocent enough, I'll go against my better judgement. He can stay with us for the time being, at least. I'll be there.
[Entering another world while you're on your way to your bedroom wasn't something Iruma had planned, probably not in any universe. But who asked her opinion? Barefoot, in her pajamas and with her hair disheveled, she moves along the corridors where there are the fewest demons at this hour, hiding behind flower pots or in empty classrooms.]
[One way or another, she reaches a place that is familiar to her. The teachers' lounge. She knew the way, and sometimes came here if she was asked to carry something or something like that. However, she never entered this room of her own free will. Was she allowed to do this? There was definitely someone in the teachers' room; she heard the sound of a cup hitting the table, the rustling of papers, quiet humming and dramatic sighs. She would have sworn that Kalego-sama should be there, but it probably wasn't her Ka-sama.]
[It takes her a while before she decides to knock and politely ask, "Excuse me, may I come in?"]
[...she wanted to make sure that this person was not her Ka-sama.]
[Iruma sighs and enters the room, very quietly; he probably wouldn't have heard her if Ka-sama didn't have a dog's hearing. She immediately locks the door, looking around to make sure they're alone, and sighs.]
She looks up at the teacher. Same face. Same hairstyle. Same hair color. This isn't her Ka-sama. "I'm sorry to bother you. Can I check something?"
[She looks bad, doesn't she? Her voice sounds too quiet and her tone is such that anyone would understand that she is confused. But in any case, if she ended up in another world and this demon isn't her father, she needs to know about it.]
You appear to be an Iruma from a different universe, so if you want to check if I'm the same Naberius Kalego from yours, then I can already tell you the answer is no.
"Oh, I guess... I want to make sure by checking your scent"
[She slowly moves closer, close enough to the table where Kalego, not her Ka-sama, sits.]
"This is probably very rude. My Ka-sama says that only families do this, but understanding with your head and understanding with your heart are two different things."
[Seeing no objections or any other sign that this was not an appropriate thing to do, she pulled Kalego's wrist towards her and inhaled.]
[It was somewhat similar to her father's scent. The smell of skin, the body of a living being. But there was no second layer of sweetness, safety, or ozone. It was a little... frustrating.]
"Yes... It's not that demon." She sighs and gets to her feet. "I'm sorry for the inconvenience. I'll... I'll try to solve this problem." Or any other problem she had.
"...This may sound strange, but can I sit here with you for a while? I won't disturb you," I'll just observe. I'll spot the differences. I'll try to come to terms with the fact that the man who looks like my father has nothing to do with me. She needs to come to terms with the fact that everything she's gained in the last few weeks or months no longer exists. She's been through this before... She'll do it again.
[Kalego freezes up for a moment, first from being thrown off by the question and then from having his wrist smelled like that tells this Iruma any piece of information that may be needed, before he expresses annoyance.]
Never. Do. That. Again.
You have to wait for permission before you do anything like that. It's a very easy way of getting yourself bit by people less forgiving about lack of manners.

[A missing scene taking place after chapter 34 when the barriers have gone down from within Babyls. @babyls-babyls]
Kiriwo has been arrested and Sullivan has dealt with the aftermath of the attack on the school. Kalego has no need to fulfill the role of "Acting Chair-Demon" and all of the other teachers are able to handle the rest without him. He isn't needed professionally.
He can be a person with a personal life now, for at least a while, and it means one thing first and foremost: he hasn't heard from his wife since before those stupid barriers went up, and that takes precedence.
He brings up the telepathy spell that he had used during the attack with all of the other teachers, except he focuses it on specifically reaching his wife. Reaching Aria.
He's done it repeatedly between moments of needing to deal with the situation and send that message to the Chair-Demon.
Perhaps this time, he'll get a response.
"It's been handled and the barriers are all gone now. Please answer and at least tell me where in the castle you even are, Aria."
When the barriers had gone down, Aria's first thought had been 'Finally!'
Her second thought had been 'Ow!', as being released from stasis had caused her to drop face-first onto the floor. Not wanting to be found in quite so undignified a position, she had slowly and painstakingly dragged herself over to the nearest wall so she could sit up against it. Devi, every muscle in her body was screaming at her. Those nasty barriers had not only paralyzed her but twisted up her limbs all sorts of painful ways. A contortionist would have been impressed, truly. Being stuck like that for so long had been unpleasant to say the least, doubly so knowing there was a crisis on hand she couldn't respond to.
Kalego, the poor dear, had sent her multiple telepathic messages she hadn't been able to answer. He was going to be grumpy about that later. At least he and the other teachers must have settled things without her. She'd just heard several explosions, but sensed no damage to the castle or grounds. She could sense Sullivan-sama's presence again, however, which was reassuring.
Well, her muscles were exhausted, but she still had plenty of magic. She was just contemplating getting the floor tiles to carry her along to the staff room when a familiar, disgruntled voice interrupted her thoughts. Oh dear... he sounded stressed. Smiling to herself, she forced a hand up to touch her temple.
"Hello to you too, dear... I'm on the third floor of the first years' building. Outside the astrology classroom... Do I want to know what all that noise was-?"
Kalego's foremost impression was that she sounded really tired.
He was already moving as soon as she told him where she was. First years' building. Third floor.
He explained as he rushed over to her.
"That was the Magitools Battler presentation for the party and the chair-demon cleaning up afterwards."
He wasn't lying to her. He didn't do that as a matter of principle, but even without that, there was no real point and the presence of a living lie detector in the marriage meant it was a futile effort to even try—and it would have felt wrong to do so regardless.
"Not a scratch," she assured him. She could have added a 'thanks to you,' but Kalego is a bit bashful about stuff like that. Wholly unnecessary, really, but quite adorable in it's own way.
"Though I don't think I'll be moving much anytime soon..." her huff is audible even over telepathy. "My everything is killing me-"
One of the upsides of knowing a place like the back of one's hand was that it was easy to navigate it.
"That's good, all things considered."
Kalego arrived quickly at the area outside the astrology classroom and crouched down at Aria's side.
She'd said she was unhurt, but after hearing nothing from her for the whole time that the barriers were up, he still checked if it looked to be true.
"The biology lab should be empty right now, and it makes a much better place for you to recover from this than the teachers' lounge, even though Shichiro isn't there."
Kalego eyes the bump but decides that it can wait until she's not in a random hallway for him to ask about it.
"Yes, it'll be good to have him back."
Kalego gently picks her up in his arms and adjusts a bit to make it more comfortable for both of them before he takes the familiar route to the biology lab.
". . . One of our Treasures was led astray," he says very quietly, like the words themselves were too horrible to be spoken louder than that. "I'll know more about it after we've had more time to investigate."
Kalego frowns.
He doesn't want to wait after all.
"Do you want to tell me what the bump on your forehead is about?"
Aria accepted being lifted without complaint, laying her head on his shoulder and purring with contentment. The sound and faint vibration of it soothed both them and her aching limbs.
Her ears flicked, and then flattened, at his explanation. A student had done this? Oh dear... They had failed someone very badly indeed, in that case...
"Hm?" She blinked at his next question. A bump-? Oh. "No I don't." She pouted. "You'll laugh at me."
Kalego looks down at her as he walks them over to the biology lab.
"I would laugh at the reason there's a bump on your forehead," Kalego says it slowly. "I highly doubt you being injured is something that I would find funny."
Still, he looks back up again.
"Though, if you don't want to tell me, then you don't have to."
"You and me both." Kalego sighs and adjusts his hold her a bit again as he lets the both of them into the biology lab.
"You should get some rest."
Kalego settles her down in a makeshift nest between two bookshelves. It has definitely seen better days due to Shichiro's absence, but it should still suffice.
". . . I still need to be present for the awards ceremony," he says, yet isn't moving away.
The state of the nest sends a pang of longing for their missing third through Aria's heart as well. With Shichiro tending it, its a lush and springy tangle of vines and soft moss. Now it mostly resembles a heap of dry twigs, though the blanket they dragged over it means she's still quite comfortable.
At least her diligent watering has kept the rest of his plants healthy...
"Go," she chuckles. "I'll be here when you're done."
Did you know there is now a mafia version of Iruma here now? I suggest you go check it out :)
Mod: Hi! 💜 I'm going to answer this out of character. I don't have any real knowledge of the mafia series at all. I haven't read it. If Iru-mod wants to interact, then that's fine and could be really fun, but I wouldn't know how to start it, so I think it's better if I wait and see what they want to do.

[He wanders over to his teacher with an cautious yet relieved look on his face.] Hi Professor...I hope you're my professor this time...the last two looked so much like him...
