Honestly reminding myself that suicide is an option and I'm deliberately not choosing it actually helps me get through the day sometimes.

When I start to berate myself about all the things I "should" have gotten done today - all the dishes piling up, the laundry still sitting in the basket, the appointments I have to make - it gets overwhelming but then I stop myself and say "hey, at least you didn't kill yourself today!"

Having a sink full of dirty dishes is better than being dead. Falling behind on chores is better than being dead. Even if things seem so shitty and I'm really struggling, I'm still alive and can try again tomorrow. Beating myself up about it will only make things worse, so even if all I can get done is not giving up, that's okay by me!
