My experience meeting Sebastian Bach!
Hey all!
So, as promised, here's a post about my experience meeting Sebastian Bach at The Aladdin Theater in Portland at his concert.
Once I arrived for VIP and got my ticket, I got led straight towards the merch table where we had early access to all of Sebastian's merch along with the merch of the bands who were opening for the band(Blaze Francisco and Stitched Up Heart). When I reached the end of the merch table, they gave everyone in VIP a promotional poster for Baz's tour along with a lanyard that had the VIP badge connected to it.
After this, I waited in line along with the rest of the people in VIP. The anticipation was building up so much for me during the wait as I knew I was just moments away from meeting Sebastian! I still regret not bringing something particular for him to sign as there were so many people in line who brought a Skid Row vinyl or a copy of Sebastian's book with them. There was also a super nice girl that I met at the VIP event who brought the B-Side Ourselves Skid Row CD. I wish I had brought the copy of the Rollingstone magazine I have with Baz on the cover, but that's okay.
It wasn't that long of a wait before a curtain got pulled aside and we were led to the sit in front of the stage where the concert was going to be. An employee for the venue told us Sebastian and the band would be arriving soon for us then left. All the instruments onstage were already set up and there was a huge backdrop that had Baz's Child Within The Man cover on it. When he finally came onstage along with his band, he instantly starting just shooting the shit and making jokes with us. He also hinted that he may get "THE call" tomorrow a couple of times. Initially, I got super anxious as I thought that he meant Skid Row was going to ask him come back lmao! This ended up being in regard to him being the lead singer of Twisted Sister though as that was literally announced a day after the concert.
After performing about three songs for us during soundcheck, we lined up for VIP to go onto the stage and meet him! My heart was racing so bad during the whole time I had to wait in line. Once I finally got onstage to meet him, he was SO nice yall! He saw I was wearing his Freedom 2024 merch shirt that I got at his other concert and asked where I got it. I told him which show I went to and that he was amazing at that show. I basically started pouring my heart out as after this, I was like I love you, it's an honor to meet you lmaooo! He smiled really big and asked "what's your name, honey?". I felt like I was gonna die when he asked me this, but I tried to remain normal and answered him. He grabbed my poster and started signing it then also grabbed my VIP badge and signed it as well.
Once he signed my stuff, a guy who worked for the band(roadie, I suppose?) grabbed my phone and started taking photos of Sebastian and I. I look soo chopped in the pics imo, but I don't even care. This was seriously one of the best nights of my life! He even said yes to giving me a hug after the pics. He gives amazing hugs by the way and smelled good lmao.
As expected, the concert was amazing when it actually started up. I didn't get home until about 1 in the morning because of how late the concert ran and was sleep deprived the next day at my work, but I don't regret a thing! I've posted a few photos below of my show along with my signed VIP badge and Sebastian frisbee that I caught that Sebastian threw into the crowd!
Feel free to ask any questions about the concert if you want to know more or see more pics!
