Meet dancer Francisco! Francisco Preciado joined Silicon Valley Ballet (then known as Ballet San Jose) in 2009 under the direction of Dennis Nahat. Born in Guadalajara, Mexico, in 1990, he has been dancing since age 13, beginning his training under the instruction of Andrea Paris, Artistic Director of the Los Angeles Ballet Academy. In 2006 he was awarded a scholarship to The HARID Conservatory, in Boca Raton, Florida, where he trained under the instruction of Svetlana Osiyeva, Victoria Schneider and Olivier Pardina. In 2007 he was the recipient of the Rudolf Nureyev Dance Fellowship and in 2008 was awarded the Jeannot B. Cerrone Award for excellence in performance. After graduating, he received a scholarship to the Juilliard School in New York. While at Juilliard, he worked with Sidra Bell, Laura Glenn and Stephen Pier. Francisco is happy to be a dancer with BAC.
