I want a vibe check for Doorman fans: Do you feel Doorman -
A) made his human form himself and its doesn't age/get sick
OR
B) took over the body of a human and just switches to a new body when the current one gets old or sick so he can keep being a doorman without being hindered by mortal limits
OR
C) secret third thing you can tell me
whee i love to ramble. i think so many different options for the Doorman's person suit are interesting and i love to see explorations of them; my current faves are
1. he made his human form with meticulous accuracy down to the chemical level of the human body over ages of trial and error. but he's got cheat codes on so to speak so it doesn't age/get sick or tired. he still puppets it a little weirdly, the same way it would be if he stole a body
2. he made the body but it's just an organic shell that bleeds, with Something Else inside, like the Thing and the Terminator combined. with magic
3. his body used to be some poor normal guy that was hired to the original staff of the then-not-haunted Baroness and the Doorman moved in. but i imagined his influence made the body ageless and too-perfect. i actually hadn't considered him body hopping before, which is also really cool of an idea in relation to the way he uses a title instead of a name "to keep myself grounded" as he puts it
it's crazy how wide the possibilities are with the little lore we have and honestly i hope they never explain it much further. the only thing i've noticed become popular is interpreting him with blue blood, and i'm not much of a fan of it. i just don't love it visually and also his canon critical portrait (as of now) had red blood that's clearly his. i think his blood is weird but i don't think it's blue
