Kennedy kowtowing to Trump
“Today, I voted to affirm that these impeachment proceedings are unconstitutional," Kennedy said in a statement. "Based on the information I have right now, I voted today and will vote again later in the impeachment trial to dismiss the impeachment proceedings against former President Trump.
Here the ever so ignorant "Q-Anon John" determines that impeachment is somehow unconstitutional. Ignoring the fact, the acts were committed while Trump was in office and “relatively” acting as POTUS. Simply because Trump's term ended does not excuse the offense committed while in office, therefore I completely disagree.
This is the equivalent of robbing a bank, and the moment you make it to the street and are no longer on bank property, you are now immune from prosecution because they did not catch you in the bank. Mind you, Trump was caught “IN the Bank.” It is, however, the easiest analogy I came up with to convey the ignorance of this stance.
"These proceedings, in part, represent a thinly veiled effort by the uber-elites in our country, who look down on most Americans, to denigrate further those people who chose to vote for President Trump and not vote for President Biden.”
Fact:Economists calculate richest 400 families in US paid an average tax rate of 23% while the bottom half of households paid a rate of 24.2%. To which uber-elites are you referring?
Here, he is trying to fear monger you into believing his stance of ignoring facts and kowtowing to Trump at every opportunity, is somehow saving you, my fellow Louisianian and American people from some great evil invented by Q.
Let’s face it, all impeachments are political, there is no way around that, however, this particular impeachment was much less political and much more rule of law than any before.
There were no cigars, or stains on dresses. There were lives lost. It matters not where you fall on the political spectrum, everyone knew this was a real issue and a real problem created by Trump and Rudy through the constant lies and fearmongering.
The fear of the majority of the Republican party for their personal futures played out perfectly for Trump as you heard right after the vote McConnell et al saying Trump was guilty but they couldn’t vote for it because it was unconstitutional, something ruled on as constitutional by the Senate and an item I have already covered.
With few exceptions, the Grand Old Party is becoming the Cowards Party. To much of the world, before Trump and definitely before this vote, America means brave, America means just, America means righteous! Not to these cowards who did not have the courage to follow the rule of law, follow the Constitution, but rather chose to protect themselves and their political futures.
A shameful day in American history...
Please open your eyes, open your ears, and see and hear the truth.
We can not allow John Neeley Kennedy another term, a man who puts his political future and livelihood before the Constitution, which he swore to uphold and defend, and more importantly, he puts his politics before you and has proven he always will. We all deserve better.
