“That’s not funny, Dav.” Thea shot him a look.
“Come on, Annie,” Davey said, returning her look. “It’s a little funny.”
“So do you.”
“Alright, what’s your point?”
“I don’t think I’ve ever seen St. Mungo’s so packed up… This can’t be good”
“At least you won’t get bored,” Davey said, offering a positive outlook.
“Oh, did you mean me?”
“No,” said Davey, nodding his head to gesture behind his sister. “The other Anthea.”
“Why don’t you believe me?” She whacked his arm.
“Because,” he said. “You lie sometimes.”
“That’s alright, Davey.” A smile plastered across her face. “Merlin, you worked there too?” She gasped, unable to hide her surprise at this new found fact. “I was stationed at the bar most of the time, starting from breakfast to late lunch time. Although, next week will mark my two months working there.”
“That’s insane,” he said, shaking his head in disbelief. “I still work there actually. I do a little bit of everything, but it’s mainly evening shift stuff, I s’pose,” he shrugged. “I mostly bus tables and wash dishes.”
“For thinking that you can go on this mission without me. Are you out of your mind?”
“Merlin, I’m sorry,” said Davey, checking his nose to see if he was bleeding. “I wanted to do something myself, for once.”
“Um… that packet of meadowsweet? That really didn’t come out the way I planned. Sorry.”
Davey cracked a smile, breaking character. “Sorry, mate, I thought you wanted me to play along or something,” he said, chuckling to himself and tossing the other boy the packet of herbs.
“T– thank you.” She hissed as pain shot up her legs. There’s a sharp pain of torn muscles, then a numbness almost like a sign of a…. She groaned. While leaning her weight on her other leg, she holds onto his support. Not again, she mused to herself. “I.. I want to go home.. but.. maybe St. Mungo’s first..” She breathes.
“Alright...alright...” he repeated, trying to calm himself down more so than Ariadne. “Hold on tight,” he advised her, gripping her tightly himself and turning quickly on the spot. The next thing he knew, he was standing outside St. Mungo’s, all pieces of the pair of them intact. “Success,” he said.
“Wow, you… wow…” He said as he looked at the vending machine, unmoving. “You sure that’s your wand?”
Davey didn’t allow himself to be offended. He’d been ridiculed for his charms before, and it had stopped bothering him. So, naturally, he laughed it off. “Last time I checked,” he said. “Maybe you should go get yours.”
“Oh, man,” Edgar said with a full-on laugh, shaking his head. “I really can’t win today, can I? No, mate, I’m good. I don’t want to unintentionally impersonate you and then ask for a favor. I can tell you which tables’ food you should spit in, though, based on who was rudest to me when they thought I worked here, too.”
Davey smirked at the other boy. “Really, I was just about to go on duty anyway. You don’t want anything? Like, a firewhiskey? Butterbeer? It’s really not that hard to fetch it up,” Davey admitted, laughing at his comment. “Please, that’s the kind of information I would pay galleons for. You wanna come back to the kitchen? I’ll do drinks and food, you can spit in them.”
“No! This is just my face!”
Davey gave his friend a sideways glance. “Alright, then.”
@thebookishgryffindor: “You have something I want.”
“Yeah? Tell me what it is, and hopefully we can resolve this without any bloodshed.”
the 100 sentence starters
“Love is weakness.”
“I should’ve killed you when I had the chance.”
“What’s wrong with a little chaos?”
“I never wanted any of this to happen to you.”
“I tried… I tried to be the good guy.”
“I bear it so they don’t have to.”
“I am become death, destroyer of worlds.”
“I did what I had to do, that’s all.”
“Maybe life should be about more than just surviving.”
“I have no home.”
“You’re dead to me.”
“Sucks, but I’m dealing with it.”
“I’m not fine!”
“What if I’m just broken?”
“Blood must have blood.”
“The things we’ve done to survive, they don’t define us.”
“The only way we’re gonna make it through this is if we trust each other.”
“Let me guess, Mommy and Daddy didn’t love you?”
“…Are you gonna cry, [Name]?”
“I don’t need a babysitter.”
“I’d step back if I was you.”
“It won’t survive me.”
“You don’t have to do this alone.”
“No more secrets.”
“All I do is hurt people. I’m a monster.”
“You’re not allowed to die.”
“Who we are and who we need to be in order to survive are very different things.”
“I won’t let anything bad happen to you, [Name].”
“You want forgiveness? Fine, I’ll give it to you. You’re forgiven, okay?”
“I am doing the best I can!”
“Everything that’s gone wrong is because of you.”
“I’m glad you’re here.”
“Pain. Hate. Envy. Those are the ABC’s of me, you take them away and there’s nothing left.”
“I couldn’t save him/her.”
“May we meet again.”
“How about you stick it up your ass instead?”
“You can’t afford to be weak.”
“You have something I want.”
“Revenge isn’t justice.”
“Aim for the throat. Slash, don’t stab. Make it deep.”
“You saved my life.”
“Take off your clothes.”
“Stop blaming me for your mistakes!”
“Maybe there are no good guys.”
“Do you have any idea what you did? Do you even care?”
“Ouch! Hey! What the bloody hell was that for?”
