The cold night had turned into a cold morning and Andie had hours before transfigured her scarf into a blanket. She sat leaning against the wall of the astronomy tower, watching the sky shift colors with the sunrise. She didnât remember having cried, but the feeling in her eyes and tightness in her throat was suggesting she had. Sunrise had passed when she heard someone coming out onto the tower. âIâm sorry, Happy New Year and all, not really feeling like people right now.â Her voice was tight and hollow and she spoke without looking up to see who it was.
