steve and yeehaw are two college kids who were on a college research trip to antarctica when the apocalypse happened. pretty much everyone on earth died, except those in very cold places, like antarctica. yeehaw gets sick and steve offers to go back home w him, but there’s no one to pick them up at port cause everyone is dead. so they’re stuck w each other in the middle of antarctica until they can make it back to camp

species: human (most of the time)

faction: human fleet

info: fugo was infected by an alien virus, known as ｢Purple Haze｣. in order to spread, purple haze transforms fugo into a grotesque monster that spews virus filled gas everywhere it goes. however, most of the time, purple haze allows fugo to maintain his human form, in order to get as close to as many humans as possible before transforming. purple haze will allow its host to live as long as it needs to spread. there is no cure.

fugo, being as intelligent as he is, isolated himself from the rest of the crew as soon as he discovered his infection. this way, no one else has to get hurt, but fugo himself cannot get any proper medical assistance either. he still has a communicator he can use to talk to the rest of the crew, but otherwise, he has completely cut himself off from human interaction. fugo considered abandoning ship all together, but he was too afraid of dying alone in the vastness of space. for now, he is trying to better control purple haze and its transformations, with little success.
