Good Morning~
Oh, so many things have happened since we spoke last.
Yohoo~
We’re back~
Happy birthday to me~
The most flawless breakfast includes fast food cinnamon-roll-esque donut holes that are filled with cream cheese sauce or whatever is in these.
‘They’re too sweet for me. I can only handle a few.’
Thanks for getting the large.
Did I ever tell you guys about the time that Virus stood up from the couch with the intent to get in the shower, sighed deeply as he stretched, announced ‘this is the last evening I will be 29′, fished a circular object out of his pocket with a power button symbol on it and handed it to me, and it turned out to be a glow-in-the-dark condom?
Good times.

Hide & Seek
Not a moment too soon. The sound is familiar. Their customary call. It’s the same deep tone with the sharp upcant. Like a car alarm piercing the silence. Unmistakable and clear.
He’d appear at the edge of the roof with a satisfied smile, waving down at the other as he peered up from below.
"Get up here." He’d playfully demand, fingers wiggling in a come-hither motion that feels tacky and trite even for him. But it’s cute, somehow. Despite it all.
"You’ll like this."
There was a lot less hunting to this whole game than he was led to believe. This was just a rooftop date... or... something...
Trip regarded him, and his silly gestures, with a blank expression before lifting the bag over his head, giving it a single shake for emphasis.
"If you want us up there, give us a hand."

Oh, there. Legs were a thing again. No, wait, they were still just dragging along. He wasn’t even moving them at this point. It didn’t matter. He liked the sensation of floating. It reminded him of Rhyme. He loved Rhyme.
Didn’t he…?
What a weird thought!
Aoba laughed, his head lolling to each side in turn to press against his saviours’ shoulders. It was fine like this. They would take care of him. They’d never steered him wrong before. In fact, he was only here because they cared so much about him. He trusted them to take care of him. They would make this feel amazing.
"You two…" he slurred, giggling softly again before continuing. "I’ve missed you…"
Missed them? Had he? He just saw them a few days ago, didn’t he? Back at Mizuki’s place? Oh, right. Mizuki. He’d destroyed him, hadn’t he? That felt good. He hadn’t done that in so long. It was a shame, maybe, that it was Mizuki, but it whet his appetite for more.
He wanted more.
"…I’m wrecked…"
Right now.
"…I need to get more wrecked…"
Now.
"…I need to be destroyed…"
"Don’t we all?" Virus countered with a pleasant chirp, gaze flicking to catch Trip’s eye. They both know who this was.
Their favorite.
It had been far too long..
"I think so. But it’s inevitable. Everybody and everything goes that way eventually." His voice drawled languidly, one fleeting flash of a smirk shared with Trip before he attention was snared by Aoba entirely. It’s the lights, probably. Something about them able to pierce through the haze and bring out the old Aoba. Sly Blue. It’s a fascinating concept. How one piece could be put to sleep. How the other emerged as if from some distant dream. Took over. Gained control.
Or was it because Aoba-san lost it?
Not that it mattered at all.
"We don’t want to destroy you even if you’re a little broken. Just let us play with the pieces…" Virus continued, fingers fanning delicately against the nape of Aoba’s neck, nails brushing against the sensitive mess of that pretty blue hair. "…we’ll put you back together even better than before."
They moved fluidly, one above and one below, Virus at his face, touching his oh-so-sensitive hair, and Trip's fingers digging in just above the dip of his hipbone, tugging at the fabric covering it with the intent to expose.
Each glance was met, each sneer reflected. They were in tandem, their steps perfectly matched as they dragged their prey back to the couch they'd claimed. Every moment of this night held more promise than the last, each brush of fabric and flesh teasing and tantalizing.
He was so hungry.
"We always pick up your pieces," Trip agreed, using his grip on Aoba to twist them around, pushing their captive into his partner, intending to topple them onto the cushions. "Fit them together just to break apart again, eh? That's how you like it, right?"
Hide & Seek
He’d arrive to an empty house. Or so it seemed. Pitch black. Lights out. He’d leave only a few small clues to be found through exploration and a discerning eye for detail, as Virus counted on Trip to know exactly what was missing. What was out of place.
The kitchen cabinet hung open. Two glasses plucked from their neatly arranged line. The stove light is lit, warning that the countertop is still hot to the touch. The throw blanket is missing. The candles from the living room. Both beds entirely stripped of their bedding…
….and a single window left wide open, leading out to the fire escape…
The faint smell of warmth spilled out of the kitchen, leading Trip by his nose to where the glasses waited for him. The lights flicked on as needed, illuminating just how abandoned the apartment was. He nearly set down the brown bag on the counter, but paused instead, shifting his weight this way and that as he took in the scene.
Something baked, then removed... something sweet? It smelled... like something. He couldn't quite place it. He hadn't looked into the bag yet, but felt compelled to. Was that a clue as well...?
The bag was shifted to one arm, the glasses lightly stuffed with paper towel before they were hung on the bottles within, clinking softly against each other as he resumed his lazy prowl.
The slight chill from the window drew him and soon enough Trip was leaning out of it, staring up at where the knotted sheets disappeared. He hesitated, thinking for a moment before giving a sharp, attention-grabbing whistle, waiting to see if his partner would appear at the sound.
Hide & Seek
[COIL MSG]: Liquor Store.
He’d already placed the order. Paid by phone. It’s the one closest to their apartment. The one Trip would know. Where a brown paper package was already wrapped and waiting for the blond to give either of their names and carry off on the rest of his scavenger hunt. The contents only part of the surprise….
Gathering the blankets off both their beds, Virus continued his own preparations at home, hurriedly stalking about with an armload of pillows, ferrying them out and away…
How fitting.
Trip changed direction slightly, his COIL screen dismissed and his hands finding their way into his pockets. The liquor store was still open at this hour, wasn't it? He trusted Virus to know. They would hold the order and he would wordlessly collect it once he arrived.
Should he peek into the packaging or would that earn him a scolding?
It would be a few minutes until he arrived. Various notions of what this scavenger hunt might lead to ran in his mind, none seeming particularly interesting. Whatever Virus had in mind was going to be utterly fascinating or utterly disappointing, he was sure.

[COIL MSG]: Let the game begin.
The final text he’d sent before slipping off to set the arena. Trip would give him time. If not out of good sportsmanship? Out of interest. The more opportunity he allowed for Virus to orchestrate an evening? The more rewarding the payout. Patience is a virtue with good reason. No doubt Trip would take the long way home.
He’d count on that.
[COIL MSG]: Hint?
The blond moved at a leisurely pace as he finished his rounds, humming softly to himself as he waited for Virus' response. It had been a long time since they'd played like this and he was more than eager to get started.
Patience was a virtue Trip did not often have. He would keep his cadence deliberate now, but unless he received another message shortly, it would surely begin to run out.
"Come join me tonight. I want your company."
"Of course... and where will I find you? How will I find you? Let's make it a game of hide and seek. Leave me some clues and I'll hunt you down."

"Glad to hear you’re feeling better. Mmn. No. Glad to hear you in general. It’s funny. Even though you don’t waste words, things have been even quieter with your voice out of commission. At least now you can stop playing charades in attempt to get what you want.”
You say that like you didn't read my signs and charades like you hear my words anyway. We didn't have any trouble communicating this whole time~
I'll still wear the mask out anyway. Not 100%, but good enough to roam around a little.
