Trigger warning advisory that this is going to be a heavy answer. My psychiatric landscape, in terms of what I dream about during sleep, is literally the Wild Wild West. I try to make an effort to actually dream about beautiful men, and sex, etc.

But also I have PTSD from an abusive distant past, that will follow me until the day I die. Often times, I have graphic, violent, disturbing nightmares that I've tried for years to shake. Sometimes I'm even afraid to go to sleep, because I know what's waiting for me. I also get headaches while I'm asleep, so that I wake up in pain, from an already-in-progress ongoing headache. I can't win for losing.
