WARNING: I am not an expert on religion, anyone who has studied religion is free to correct me about potential mistakes I have made. But this post isn't an attack on the Abrahamic faiths, I am simply stating what I might know or might have an opinion on and I'm trying to be objective as possible
People tend to say that Abrahamic archangels and seraphims would beat any "pagan" god, usually because they're directly under a supreme God, but it really depends on the actual cosmology you're dealing with
In Greek Mythology, humans can beat Olympians through cleverness whereas in Abrahamic mythology, angels are usually depicted as invincible
Then there's the fact that the Ancient Greeks' understanding of the universe at the time was smaller than the Abrahamic faiths that came later
One might also apply this to the Egyptian gods since in Exodus, Yahweh is claimed to have beaten the Ennead with the Plagues of Egypt, however there is contention with this as Ramses's heart was hardened which according to the Kemetic faith would mean that his heart became heavy and therefore outweigh the feather of Maat and fall him out of the favour of his gods, leaving Egypt in Isfet which is personified by Yahweh's plagues
But that's just my theory, I'm not an Egyptologist or a theologist, it's a pretty basic reading and you could argue against the syncretic argument I'm trying to make here but at the time Exodus was written, there was near-universal syncretism and the debates surrounding the gods were about which gods were more powerful/true, not which gods existed
Which also leads into the complications when it comes to Aztec and Mesoamerican mythology as when Spanish missionaries introduced the concept of Jesus Christ to them, the Mesoamericans simply added him to their pantheon and it was treated as if they missed a god somehow
This complicates the reading of how you would want to power scale the Mesoamerican gods against the Abrahamic angels due to the fact that Christians tend to misinterpret the Mesoamerican gods as Nephilim and therefore be weaker than the angels, whereas the angels would simply be held as missing gods from the Mesoamerican pantheons and therefore probably be considered no stronger than the Mesoamerican gods, and the same can be applied to many indigenous cultures like the Samoans that have incorporated the religions of Abraham into their native belief systems
Obviously, there are many religions and pantheons around the world, and there could totally be a conversation about how indigenous beliefs found across North America and Africa about the ancestor spirits could lend themselves to the idea that the ancestor spirits, by the nature of Abrahamic readings about angels and the afterlife, are angels themselves, I don't have time to get into it right now so I'll wrap this up with the Chinese pantheon
The Chinese (Taoist, Buddhist, Confucianist) pantheon is probably the most complicated to talk about because the cosmology is a bit confusing
I don't know how big the universe was thought to be at the time and I don't know how big the universe was thought to be at the time of Judaism (the first religion of Abraham and our frame of reference for the entire cosmology, unless you want to use Islam since it's the youngest and therefore would probably have a larger cosmology based on understandings of the universe at the time)
But Sun Wukong was tasked by the Buddha to jump out of his hand and Sun Wukong reached the end of the universe and only had reached the Buddha's fingertips, and this is the same Sun Wukong who carried an infinitely tall pillar on his back and it seems from this that we can guess the Buddha is pretty fucking big
We're not power scaling the Buddha against El or Yahweh or Jehovah or Allah because that's gonna start an argument, but Sun Wukong alone would be heavily complicated to think about in a fight against someone like St. Michael for example
To my understanding, St. Michael is like the big dick of the angels, God's chosen warrior, so he's a lot like someone like Erlang Shen in that regard
If St. Michael and Sun Wukong actually fought each other, we can nearly agree that it would be a stalemate based on their respective cosmologies and I can certainly see a world where God would punish Sun Wukong the same way the Buddha did, but Sun Wukong could not actually be killed by even God himself and any archangel or seraphim that would land a solid killing blow on Sun Wukong would make him more immortal due to the holiness of the weapon and the bullshit of Sun Wukong's nature
But that's just my take, I could be wrong about certain things
