Goodmorning riri
The women on tiktok going on about men's mental health month are pissing me off because how do you sit there and say oh they don't deserve the month or they're just always looking for attention and all of this
Okay tell me if this thought is stupid but
The whole man or bear debate in my head is okay obviously not every single man goes out with the intent of harming a woman but some do so women are rightfully cautious of them all right
Not every single man will experience depression or suicidal thoughts or commit but some will so why not raise awareness and support for them all. Right?
I get that ooo men always get so much attention in the patriarchy and yeah that's true but within that patriarchy men are like they need to man up and grow a pair and be the tough one and boys don't cry and they're not allowed to be sensitive and it's embarrassing because they're called pussies or even homophobic slurs just because they're outwardly expressing emotion
But these women still sit here and go wtf why do we even need a mens mental health month blah blah blah
I'll never deny that women have suffered mountains more than men throughout history but just because of that women want men to kill themselves because they don't have access to or are SCARED to reach out and get the support they need?? You want to have equal rights but that goes out the window when men are driven to killing themselves?
Idk man I'm just MADDIFBEUDBD I want your thoughts
YESSSSS equal rights means EQUAL rights in EVERYTHING. men should be able to get mental health support easily and the reason we have Mens Mental Healtj awareness month is because men cant do that yet (whether it be from feeling embarrased [even though it shouldnt be], pressure of 'being like a man' ect ect ect)
adding onto the "not all men" point, its better to be safe than sorry, right? Give support to EVERYONE and at least 1 person will need it and it will help them.
and the whole reason we need mens mental health month is cause of people who invalidate mens mental health issues which causes less men to talk about their feelings which makes their emtnal health worse and its a whole ass viscious cycle.

Goodmorning time to get thinking
Have you seen those people posting those unboxing videos of "huge shein squishie hauls" or just unboxing massive amounts of those fuckass dumplings or those cheese mfs and needohs
I don't think there's anything wrong with wanting a stress ball type toy or whatever they look fun as hell but it gets to a POINT dude why do you need two dozen of them when I get you anything you'll leave them in your "aesthetic storage box" and barely touch them after
Don't even get me started on the dumplings especially people be buying up so many just for glitter and if they don't get the glitter then what???
AND DUDE FROM SHEIN TOO???? "It's cheap!" For a reason brother my god literally go anywhere else or think to yourself do I really need to be spending a hundred quid on bloody squishy shit
I get like one okay yeah you've seen needohs around and wanna try one for yourself that's natural but dude having boxes upon boxes is just not
Okay thank you bye 😊😊😊😊😊
Yes yes agree agree agree I am hating the new overconsumption trend it pmo so much. You do not need all of that, heck you don't even /want/ all of that, you just want content or money (from reselling it).
Adding to this also the huge unnecessary bathroom restocks/kitchen restocks/[smth else] restocks where you have so many unnecessary things. The kitchen one I am less peeved at because it's food and they're gonna be eating it anyway, but it just seems extra. The bathroom one however, I saw this thing where like people have cupboards full of 20 different types of body wash/shampoo/conditioner/lotion/hair mask/hair mud/body butter/whatever the fuck else. And like. You aren't using all of that. There is NO WAY you will use 20 bottles of body wash before it expires. It's just fucking wasteful.
Coming back to the squishy thing, there's nothing wrong with having a collection, collections are cool, I collect trinkets I get from other countries when I go on holiday (souvenirs)(pretty sure like 90% of the population collects souvenirs lol) but needohs/stress toys have a purpose kinda, to unstress you by being used. Plus they're all mostly the same, save for different colours. It baffles me (haha are you baffled too bird bandit?) that some people don't see a problem in having piles upon piles of cubes.
There is definitely more I can say on this but I am tired and my brain ain't fully awake yet
DUDE YES OMG THE FUCKING RESTOCKS TOO
You're not using all of that bro you jut want to make the plastic container look full so it's more "aesthetically pleasing" to the viewer
Even some of the kitchen restocks are a bit much and unnecessary I mean okay all for being organised but what happened to just...keeping stuff in the box that it came in? And storing it there?
I wanna know your take
Do you find it a little odd or comfortable at how sexualised like every conventionally attractive actor is nowadays like I understand finding an actor insanely attractive but I feel like it's gotten to a POINT where people aren't even talking about the beauty or depth of the media just because all anyone focuses on is the how hot an actor is its getting a bit much in my opinion but idk if I'm looking too hard at it
I find it really wierd. Like, idc a lot but like you said it gets to a point. I don't get it when people are like "i wasn't gonna watch xyz piece of media but abc actor is in it so i did" like if the only reason your watching something is because an attractive actor is in it then your not really getting much from the media. Me personally, I could never. Even if some actor i found insanely attractive was in something but it was a genre of media i didnt like (like vampire media) i still wouldnt watch it.
Also over-sexualising actors just feels wierd to me. Theyre still people yaknow? I know I certainly wouldnt like it if i knew thousands of people were drooling over me (if i happened to become famous) (also part of the reasons i personally dont like rpf).
obvs in the end people gonna do what people gonna do but it gotten wierd and too personal.
To me the reason people want to normalise kissing their friends is because they want to experience kissing and making out but traditionally to do that one must acctually find someone that they're interested in and is interested in them, build up that trust and connection before they get to that point but with FRIENDS you're already at a point of connection and trust so naturally yoy want to experience that then why not with someone you already trust and love platonically that's less likely to judge you
I don't understand how people see kinks in black and white in "gross" and "hot"
Like do you not even try to think from the perspective of someone else? Wdym you don't think about the deeper mental sort of reasons behind what purpose a kink serves for someone in their sexual enjoyment, it is degradation or their way of showing trust is it their way of showing submission is it their way of showing devotion is it their way of maybe wanting to serve someone or infact be served
How do people not think and consider these things from an alternate perspective? You don't have to like something personally to respect it and someone if its not truly harming anyone or society
Everyone has different ways if expression, expressing what they find sexually attractive and how they want to experience that that's their business
I have such mixed feelings on the debate on should social media be banned for kids under the age of 16
I agree 100% you should not be giving your children access to that sort thing at at extremely young age and I acknowledge all of the cons that come with it but I can't help but put my own experiences into consideration. Social media was my reason for living honestly at a point in my life where I was completely and utterly alone I made friends I was exposed to beautiful things that I never would have reached for I've found passions and I've found art and I have learned so much through shared experiences and speaking to people from different countries than mine through the Internet
I don't know I think that sort of thing is kind of vital? But then again you could very much access that AFTER the age of 16 and as an adult but I think there's a different sort of poignancy to it at a young age
But then again there's so so so many negative factors and honestly the cons would probably outweigh the pros
I don't know
I am so annoyed.
Instead of coming up with an acctual innovative idea plastic companies go "Hm yes this sounds like it works so it's good enough" and the public immediately falls head first into it because its a convenient way to cope with their own guilt. The consumer guilt of buying all of this plastic when you KNOW you don't need it, you know it's wasteful but it's for personal comfort brings guilt to the fact that you know you are actively contributing to the wastage crisis. But, instead or reducing the amount of plastic that is consumed which would ruin the decades crafted comfortability people have with convenience and having everything so convenient for them in abundance and they the privileged just can't cope with that, or reusing because god forbid you do something that ever so slightly inconveniences you or takes a toll on the consumer's personal image of not having everything "new" and "shiny" and and being caught in the stupid stereotype that reusing makes you look "poor" which it does not. No, no instead of doing any of that the consumer DELUDES themselves into instead of doing something acctually beneficial just making themselves FEEL like they're doing something beneficial. The idea of recycling is to manage the consumer's OWN guilt without acctually having to do anything practical about it. Yeah, I'll just throw everything into the recycling bin, look at me I am saving the planet WHEN ACCTUALLY most plastics cannot be recycled, are not as good quality when recycled, less than 10% of plastics are recycled, its acctually not quite possible to recycle efficiently at an economic scale and less than 10% of plastics acctually do get recycled.
Oh. Oh but thank GOODNESS you don't feel as guilty. Well just thank goodness for your little conscience. What a terrible thing it would be for you to have to acctually take accountability for your waste and your usage and the environmental impact that you contribute every single day. No, live carelessly and just throw everything into one bin and forget all about it because out of sight out of mind, right? If you don't have to look at it, if the consumer doesn't have to walk down the street among tonnes of trash, doesn't have to drink dirty water, doesn't have to walk along beaches where no sand nor rock is visible because of the sheer amount of WASTE build up, then it doesn't matter right? If it's not bothering you directly in your privileged position of wealth, it doesn't matter right? It'll only start to matter whenever it directly affects them in their big "untouchable" MEDCs but by that point it'll be too late because as a society we will have gone too far into irreversible damage. And then what? And then what.
people need to feel more guilt in my opinion
oh youre feeling guilty about buying a bunch of shit you dont need? Good. Don't buy it.
you feel guilty that you're financially able to donate to chairty but won't? Good. Donate.
If guilt is a driving force then so fucking be it let it drive you making the world better
It took me a long time to realise that feeling feelings isn't inherently wrong if you feel feelings there's nothing you can do about it because you're FEELING them so they're there
If you were given the chance to experience something amazing but you knew full well there is a chance that it will end in hurt and pain, would you still?
i think it depends on how long the amazing thing was and how bad the hurt is. i think yes though.
I think it is human nature to take risks for happiness even if it does not work out sometimes
If you were given the chance to experience something amazing but you knew full well there is a chance that it will end in hurt and pain, would you still?
Do you think the person who first came up with the who came fist the chicken or the egg theory went crazy BECAUSE I PROBABLY WOULD HAVE.
I find how humans saw the world before scientific discovery so interesting and beautiful
I love to think about nature vs nurture
I always tend to lean more towards nurture and i think its really apparent in those cases where children are found to have been raised by wolves or other animals etc and they act nearly exactly like them because that's how they were nurtured
