✧ | He is slow to react, distracted by a whimsical charm. A moment of silence to admire his friend in leaving. Maybe he’s not good at hiding particular emotions sometimes, this being one of them. Abel’s concern does settle in, only to change the course of thoughts. There is another bond Reflet is fond of, memories of first impressions and the now makes him realise how long he has come with his comrades.
❝ Oh… No, it’s not like that. ❞ A sheepish smile to accompany reassuring words. ❝ He’s trying to ease you into meeting Frederik soon… Freddi is intimidating at first, but he’s really a big softy. ❞ True words for him to live by — he has the personal experience after all. The wariness for the sake of protecting one’s liege against a seemingly unusual stranger. Some things never change, but growth is a sign of unbreakable bonds.
Convenience makes everything easier. They’re already near the guest room Reflet has been looking for. With a snap of his fingers, an indication of a small victory, he makes his way to the entrance. He opens it to take a look, everything seems to be in place and comfortable enough. Pleased, he turns to Abel with a small smile. He moves to the side as if to allow room for observation.
❝ Here’s the room that you’d be staying in. I hope it’s to your liking… ❞
* Not much else to focus as the blue figure left, Abel’s line of sight fixed on the source of the gentle voice. Grip on wood loosened, shoulders relaxed; gaze soft and weary. From tension to serenity. Reflet’s aura is gentle. Soothing Abel’s nerves in addition to oncoming fatigue --- mustering the ghost of a smile.
* Preferable to be strict than neglectful. Some discomfort displayed within Abel over musing about this stranger, discarding his self-consciousness to not announce his insecurities. Perhaps another grin would convince hiding such melancholy thoughts. Even so, there’s reasons beyond forcing. A pristine-looking room, reasonably-sized bed, spaces meant for storage. Even a desk. Such attention to detail; enough space dedicated to essentials.
* Focusing on Reflet once more after scanning his surroundings, he quips light-heartedly.
“ I’ve stayed in shabbier places. ”
* Inviting himself onto bed, he bounced a tad to test the waters. Not too stiff, nor too loose; it hardly budged from his weight, and yet its shape makes the occupant’s presence obvious. Abel’s in for a pleasant night; so he assumed. Fluffing the pillows after he tests the integrity of the mattress... again, it felt exquisite.
“ Can you tell the servant or maid or whoever’s available to not bother me for the night ? I don’t like intrusions. ”
