This kind of situation is where nuance can exist. I can be horrified at what Liam did to Maya Henry and how he treated other women and still not be happy that he has died. I can be devastated for his family, his girlfriend and his child who will grow up without him. I can be sad that Liam will never have the opportunity to take accountability for the worst version of himself, which maybe naively I still hoped he would do. I can acknowledge that he had serious mental health issues and addictions, which the trauma from 1D and what happened there and how they were all treated exacerbated and at least partly caused. That can all be true and I can feel the loss about a person dying. I was a 1D fan before I became a solo Louie and this is sad, it is sad when someone can’t or won’t get the help they need

TMZ should rot for all the celebrity deaths they have revealed before family even gets notified and the pictures they shared of Liam’s body. He has family, he has friends, he has a child and those pictures are out there now

I also feel for Maya Henry and the abuse she is already getting from Liam’s fans. People need to leave that poor woman alone, she is not responsible in any way for Liam’s death and she is allowed speak up about her experiences

I feel that Sony and the entertainment industry in general uses children for their own gain, puts these kids through mental hell, destabilizes their confidence and self-worth, makes them doubt their own true talent, pits talent against talent, gives them drugs and alcohol, and then drives the mob to make all of this 1000 times worse.

Put 100,000 of us in a room, and maybe 1-2 would survive this gauntlet with any sanity.

It started in One Direction and it didn’t end after 1D ended. All of these factors continuously worked on Liam’s mental health. It was relentless.

Yes, Liam deserved criticism for his personal actions. But his mental health issues were rooted in One Direction, and he never had the treatment he should have gotten. If we can’t see that, we’re not really being fair. That band was an asylum. I’m so sad for Liam. No one should have suffered this way.
