The hospital room was cold and sterile. You sat on the hospital bed, terrified and in pain. Labor was not fun or anything that you would recommend to anyone. It was certainly not anything you would recommend to a sophomore in college.

You had called Rafe twice while on the way to the hospital, but he never answered. He knew that the baby was due any day, and he had been distant for the last few weeks. Always checking in on you, and the baby, but never asking much more than if the baby was still healthy or needed anything.

You labored for six hours. Pushed for another two.

At 3:33 AM on January 10th, Julian Miles Cameron was born to a loving mother and an equally loving father, when his father was present.

The positive test came at the worst time imaginable. It was finals week, you had 3 projects due within the same two days, and you had to study for two more exams. Originally, you thought you missed your period because of the stress, so you didn't mention it. But then, you started getting sick. Again, stress, right? Your brain wouldn't let you rest, so you had to take a test to see. Once you took it and it came back negative, then you wouldn't have to worry about that anymore. One less thing to stress about. However, it wasn't negative. It was positive. You took three more. All 'pregnant'.

How were you supposed to tell Rafe? He's not ready for a kid. Neither are you.
